HELP: Quad Phaser Cannons...... Where????

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
Ok so I have the Tactical Escort T6, a I can't for the life of me find where I can get the Quad Phaser Cannons. The only info I can find is that it came with the Sao Paulo build which is no longer available. Other than that where can I get the cannons to complete my 3/3 set?

    They come from the T4 Defiant which is no longer in the store, but is now sold for Dilithum at the ship vendor.

    Visit the ship vendor on ESD and filter the ships by T4 Escort and it should be listed there. It will be called the 'Tactical Escort Refit.'

    You now need to go to a ship vendor and buy a T4 Tactical Escort Refit for the low low price of 150,000 Dilithium to get the cannons you want.

    So is T1-T4 ships bought per character with Dilithium now? (ie: per character purchase for T1-T4)?

    Yes. So if you only want quad cannons on one or two characters it's now much cheaper compared to the old zen price, but if you want them on 4+ characters then you will pay more.

    Must be different on PC. -- On XBOX the PhaQC's only come with the "Sao Paulo" and you can only get that in the Fed Pack (ship bundles) now.

    Legendary Defiant does come with quad cannons, and legendary Sovereign comes with Wide Angle Quantum Torpedo launcher. (Though I think due to a bug the torpedo launcher did not originally come with the ship when the pack was first released. They fixed that, but getting it meant dismissing and re-claiming it.)

    The Quad Plasma (Romulan) and Quad Disruptor (KDF) ships are also now per-char Dilithium purchases, unless you can get the ships they're on in a bundle. The Romulan ships would be perfect for a Ships of the Line bundle for those that don't have them, but one or two of the ships are I think also in the Legacy of Romulus bundle on PC. Along with the Valdore. The Ar'kala, Ar'kif, Jhu'ael seem to be the Romulan equivalent to the Akira series but have somewhat different consoles and abilities.

    I will note however that if you already had purchased a T1-T4 ship before the switch over... they are still account unlocked. I don't know if the OP is a new player who came in after or an old player who's been away for a while so I'll just leave this tidbit here in case they have other ships.

    i cant get the quad phaser on KDF and i got all defiants. WTF

    Sao Paulo is the T4 Tactical Escort Refit. As far as I know (not having played the console version) the T1-T4 ships should be available per-character via dilithium for those who didn't previously buy them for zen. Those who bought them for zen (either individually or by one of the two packs it's in, the Fed pack and the all faction mega bundle) should be able to claim the ship account wide and won't likely see the dilithium cost one at the regular ship vendor.

    The Phaser version come equipped on the Fed T4 Sao Paulo Tactical Escort Refit. If you don't know they are there, you could accidently discard them along with the Standard Issue junk. Not a big issue if you bought the Sao Paulo via zen, since you can dismiss and reclaim it. A bigger deal if you spent the dil to buy it. T3 Ning'tao has the Disruptor version. T4 Ar'kala has the Plasma version. The Ar'kala is not included in the big (PC only) Legacy of Romulus bundle, but other T1-5 ships are. The Legendary B'rel also includes the Disruptor Quad Cannons, which makes it seem like a T6 Ning'tao unfortunately may not happen. (Ning'tao is one of the more interesting BoP designs IMHO.)

    The legendary B'rel should not block making a T6 Ning'tao since it is not a normal ship, Legendary anything is special purpose whale bait.

    The main reason the Legendary B'Rel included the Disruptor Quad Cannons is because it is part of a set for that line of ships. Same reason the Legendary Defiant comes with all of the bits as well.
