Due to the current world crisis, a ton of ppl are stuck at home and spend a ton more time playing games, which makes this the perfect time to rerun recruitment events (Temporal, Delta, heck even Gamma) over the next few months as they're a great way to spend some time making new characters while you're stuck at home with nothing to do and it's like a ton free (as in minimal work to get it all out) content for ppl to spend time on.
that would be nice, would be an easy way for players to claim traits and items they didn't claim before for not having one of the special toons at that time. The Gamma Doff and the Temporal Space trait would be probably the most sought after.

Temporal Recruit is a bit of a no go as its not as inclusive of the other factions due to being pure Starfleet. They WANT to revisit it so that people who don't want to run a TOS Fed can get the stuff, but for now its pretty much shelved.
They just did a Gamma rerun not too long ago and it has the same problem the Temporal does, in fact even worse since it is not only single-faction, it is a single niche race. The only multi-faction recruiting event is Delta (which actually would be a good thing to run again).
On the other hand, they could give one free character slot and run all three events at once as is since it would give a faction choice by way of having the option to do one of the two different single faction and one multi-faction recruitment to pick from (and of course people might buy extra slots to cover the the other ones on top of that). Of course that assumes that running all three at once would not cause some kind of load problem or something.

There is a bit of a difference between the Gamma Recruit and the Temporal. Jem'Hadar can choose to ally with either Fed or KDF, so players can pick if they want to go Blue or Red still, even though they are Dominion purple.
Temporal Recruits don't do that. It is strictly Fed only. While the rewards you earn ARE available KDF side, you still HAVE to play Fed to get them. THAT is the core of the issue. While people enjoyed it, it does force players to play Fed who may not otherwise want to play Fed.

True, but putting all three on at the same time does give a choice, anyone who cannot stand Federation even if it means their KDF characters do benefit indirectly can do Delta or Gamma and get other benefits.
And I definitely can understand the reluctance part, while I have no problem doing Fed I simply cannot get into the mindset for horneytoads so out of two accounts and twenty seven characters total I have exactly ONE Jem'Hadar, and that only because it was the only race available for Gamma recruit and I figured I could tolerate the things enough for my playable characters to benefit, but it turned out I could not stomach doing two so I could have one on both accounts (not that it is that big of a loss anyway, I have Deltas on both and since I can do a lot more with them than the Gamma the rewards are better).
I never actively play the thing (except for occasionally taking the ship out), I just stuffed it into a vac suit at the earliest possible moment and just do enough doffing, crafting, and R&D for the Gamma recruit benefits that can be done without actually running the thing around in ground (still have a long way to go with that with the infrequent times I actually do that stuff with it).
Yeah, I would like to see how players would react to the original Borg sending those massive cubes through the gate. It would surprise a bunch of people

While I'm all for it, for any new players joining up. Personally I've done all the recruitment. I still have to do my Rom Delta, that I started again at the last rerun of it, since I accidentally deleted my first one. It's at the bottom of my list, level 17, and I look at it like...
Do I wanna?
Do I really, really wanna?
Do I really, really, really wanna?
Nope... seen enough of those episodes over the years already.
I know I need to to finish getting the rewards. But it's like watching the people partying in the streeet in Oakland right now, just the resounding, "Why?"
I don't know why Cryptic is resistent to a Temporal Recruit Event, just about all the stuff they put out these days is Federation centric anyway.

Yeah with all the time travel they Star Trek has been pitching around as of late. It would make sense to do so. I mean, Discovery era stuff is popping up, that's a couple hundred years out of date. Which Discovery/TOS are not far apart in time frame. I guess it's the "makes sense" part they have a problem with.
Yea I don't understand why they are so resistant to the Temporal Recruitment Event Rerun.. I mean I get it.. it's Fed only... but like who cares? If you want to get the rewards play it, if you don't don't. Simple enough right? I've been putting off making a new TOS character just because I'm waiting for TRE rerun and I've waited well over a year.. Even have the TOS connie ready thanks to the 10th anny bundle.

Simple answer, it's all the same story line, aside from tutorials. Play through as a Fed, get the rewards, delete the character. It's not rocket surgery.
