And just now my wallet cried, but those teases. The Shepard will be bought the first chance I get.
Space is vast, it's wonderful and maddening. Yet in that madness is some of the greatest beauty I have ever seen.

These look like pretty sweet ships. Thank you so much for including more assets from Star Trek Discovery.

They do look pretty good. So is the new Shepard gonna be a full Miracle Worker ship?

Huh. Georgiou developed during the same timeframe as Excelsior? Are you using one of the study models from Search for Spock?

Mention of an IKS Amar? The original destroyed by V'ger. Might this foreshadow the long sought after art pass for the beloved K't'inga class?

I would like to call it now that these ships will be the first full C-store leveling ships available.

ST:D's not my #1 pick for favourite Star Trek shows, but I like the Star Fleet ships of the line (Klingon end of things were 'so, so' bordering on meh) for ST:D.

(Sincerely, STO would have done a much better job creating the Klingon ships for the show, rather than the designs that were thrown out there by the Bad Robot production company)

Hopefully the full profile pictures will be shown in the follow-up about their stats.

I notice that there haven't been any Science Vessels from the Discovery era except for the Crossfield. Might I recommend that when you eventually work on the Hoover-class that it be a fully-fledged science vessel?

It does not look good for romulans

I rather liked the touch of having Klingon reunification as the reason for standardization of ship designs, and that the less elaborate KDF vessels were more easily mass produced. Just tie that into the pretensions of glory possessed by T'Kuvma and his followers for why they use such Baroque designs, and you have an explanation that would have preempted most objections to Discovery's design aesthetic early on. This is an excellent example of how one can play with and introduce creative ideas into established canon, and not rip it to shreds in the process. Well played, Cryptic, well played.
I would like to call it now that these ships will be the first full C-store leveling ships available.
I concur with your prediction. Aside from some minor weirdness with the present UI for ship equipment, the leveling ships are a promising concept, and I look forward to more of them.

This was expected. Discovery to date has no Romulans at all. There can't be any Romulan Discovery ships if there are no Deisgn cues to take from.

So two Fed Ships (a raider escort type and a potential MW class with built in Distributed Targeting) which happen to be personal favorite designs, two KDF ships of which one is a favorite (come to Papa, beloved Qugh-class... Yum yum yum), and another Fed ship which might be another Lobi ship or a Promo Ship, based on the verbage in the blog.

    I can dig it.

Still upset that there are no Romulan or Dominion designs, but as the Prince of All Two and a Half Saiyans pointed out, there's no data from that era to extrapolate from.

    Things I want in STO:

    1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
    2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
    3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
    4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
    5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
    6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
    7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
    8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!

I know it’s disappointing that we have to wait even longer for Romulan ships, but to be honest I’m glad Discovery won’t be using Romulans as they’re not supposed to be interacted with at that point in time and the Disco writers would just ruin them anyway.

Hoover. Very appropriate name for a ship operating in the vacuum of space.

oh look again no warbirds.... wallet remains closed then... pity shepard was on my list of things to get, that and the cardenas..

If Scopely can whip up KT based romulan designs for the 23c I'm pretty sure Cryptic can do a few S.. T.. D.. era ones too. So that 'no reference' excuse doesn't fly with me.

really guys? yer gonna replace S.. T.. D.. with 'tribble'?

It may be a case of CBS not allowing them to make Discovery era Romulan ships

I'm must not be seeing what others apparently are. How are folks saying they're great looking ships when all *I* can see is a nacelle here, and an engine there and either a deflector or hangar door over there. I can't judge the ships by seeing pieces. So I'll hold off until the whole ships are visible.

I do have to wonder though, is this potential mega-pack going to differ from past ones? I mean, Fed side we have a Raider/Escort, potentially a cruiser and the third could very well be a Sci ship. Perhaps instead of three variants of a single class of ship, we're getting 3 different classes that could share a console set.

It could be interesting if they go that route.

Considering Starfleet lost most of its ships to the Klingorcs Earth should be preparing to welcome their new Romulan overlords at this point. I fail to see how they could stop them given the utter incompetence Starfleet Command displayed in the late war.

You're right! I forgot about that when I was typing my previous message. Dyson, Hoover, fans and vacuum cleaners. I wonder what else they'll name a ship or location after. Wonder (as in Wonder Bread), or Oscar Meyer ("I wish I were an Oscar Meyer weiner..."), or something along those lines?

Why not go whole hog? All the way to Tier 10, and Level Cap at 100. That should do the trick for at least, oh, five hours or so until someone levels their character and ship all the way to the new top tier and level and then complains they're bored again.
