Last year we only got one mission for the Anniversary. This year we're getting two.
Well yeah. The event is 19 days long and the 40-voucher prize is once per 20 hours, so if you book it and did nothing but that and timed it for every 20 hours, you could get 880 vouchers, which means you still need to do at least one mission.
Realistically, though, you'd probably only be able to get 1 set per day, which leaces you with 760, meaning you'd need to do both missions.
Now, there IS a way around it, provided you have the Lobi for it, and that's just to buy the vouchers. Do that, even half of them, and you can still easily complete the project without doing the missions.
That said, it's easier just to suck it up and to the missions.
Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!
Because again... we're actually getting 2 missions for the Anniversary. Usually we only get ONE. So of course they want us to experience the new content. 1 mission or 2... we're still getting the 400 tokens we always get to kick off the Anniversary via mission play.
I've been around since F2P... and this is the first year we actually have 2 missions being released for the Anniversary. Makes sense to me to split the 400 tokens between them. *shrug*

You're in luck! The ship itself comes from Discovery, so if you want to avoid "discovery stuff" outright then you wouldn't want to grab the ship anyway, and don't need to bother with the episodes!
Heh, yeah it's an impressively fugly ship. Who knows, though? Maybe they will let you use the D'Kyr model in conjunction with the new ship - they are both vulcan science vessels, and only one tier apart. They've done similar with other vessels in the past.
Then again it is cryptic and the QA process is a somewhat alien concept as shown by the first episode of VIL where the map design was far too cramped and vertical to cope with the boff pathing issues that the devs have admitted exist yet decided to blunder on with anyway because "show accurate" means a station so small morn couldn't ever squeeze on board in the first place nevermind anyone over 6 foot banging their head off the walkways or stairs for anorexics only.
It's also disco content so that also lets them get away with wobbly writing that doesn't fit into actual trek.
Personally the primary function I find this page offers me is the following when cycling through my account
1. Can't access Doffing
2. Can't access R&D
3. Can't access Admiralty
4. Can't access Reputation system via Character Status Menu
5. Can't access Inventory to refine my dilithium
6. Can't do anything productive until I close said page.
7. Can't access dil exchange to convert my dilithium to Zen
Maybe we should rename it the character access prevention page.
(One click may make it go away but when you're resetting dailies it turns into 32 clicks then many more during the course of the day)
What can I do when presented with the landing page
1. Can access the mission journal which I have no need to being level 65
2. Can access the C-Store which I have no need to as I have no Zen to spend and own pretty much everything I want from there
3. Can access Updates which shows me what's new in STO from many moons ago and any new/returning player will be notified or whats new by the ? icon by the mini map flashing until they open it
None of the above can's make me
A. Replay FE
B. Buy Zen as I don't like forced advertising
C. Use Updates as I believe you still have to manually enter the ? icon to stop it flashing anyway on the mini map.
Pissed off rant over about landing page
Now for bug fix that needs addressing
Loadout/equip bug removing last or last couple of items equipped and placing them back into the inventory. This has been an issue for a very very long time. Any ideas on a solution yet.

They should at least give you the option to disable it.
Its always struck me as something added for the sake of it without any coherent thought about how to best make use of the real estate.
I agree with everything you say about the landing page as well, but the Equip bug is there for so long it is a shame it isn't fixed yet and it is VERY annoying! Mostly it hits consumable devices if you refill them, but also random weapons and stuff that is just unbearable.
Oh yes it gets frustrating topping up the battery stacks pre-TFO to enter the map and find that either the extras are back in the inventory or the whole stack has been removed from the ship completely, only to then put them back and its 50/50 once that TFO ends whether it will do the same thing when you leave.
Also noticed it can and will do it if you change characters and back to that one again, regardless of time between the change and it will also do it if you completely close the game for the day and log back the following day
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
The launcher says 15:00 to 17:30 UTC but the game went down at 14:00 UTC

Or perhaps Cryptic are stuck in a world of their own, where UTC is different.
Not true. Normally their UTC is spot on, just this week they miscalculated or factored in time dilation to UTC.
Of course this is not the place to request bug fixes (as noted in Kael's original post).

Who somehow travels to the 25th century, dies, and travels back to the 23rd (or at least the Discovery debris does)
They can have the ship back! We'll get ... Empress Killy a better ship!
Wooooowww....what's your prob? "Of course this is not the place to request a bug fix." And then a cut and paste?
um....I'm aware of that?
I wasn't requesting a bug fix (which I have already in the proper threads, as have the hundreds of effected players) in this thread. I was stating IN THE PATCH THREAD a desire that they correct something they have not yet corrected. Read the previous threads for system patches, this is kinda what we players do. The ppl working on bugs check the bug threads, but sometimes in the past posting "hey can you check this out" in the forum threads for patch notes has gotten quick replies.
But good job policing the forums unnecessarily. I mean if you are going to be a D about it, at least be helpful? Like point out I used "weak" instead of "week"? or something like that. Geez.
I noticed.
Me? I go with the flow and don't complain over every little thing. I also hardly experience any game-breaking bugs. Annoying at times, but not game-breaking.
Then again I'm not that hard to please. If I'm having fun, that's all that matters to me.
