When that song got popular with the DJ's the TOS Star Trek films were steady and popular. The character, T'Pau, got quite a bit of recognition at the time.

I'm old, so I've been hearing that song since it was first on the radio. It's a fun pop song and I've always liked how the vocalist sang in 3? different styles and then they layered them together.

Heart and Soul was the only song of theirs that hit the charts in the US significantly. They are considered a one-hit wonder in the US
In Germany they also had a more major hit with "China In Your Hand", but "Heart And Soul" was quite well known, too. I always preferred the latter. But I still like both their first two albums ("Bridge of Spies" including both mentioned songs, and "Rage" without a hit, at least in Germany)
I think Carol Decker (the singer) is still touring under this name.

They were last year last I heard. Great vocals.

If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
