The Infinity Lock Box is returning on PC, and bringing with it the brand new, scaling, T6 Mirror Escort Carrier, a twisted version of Star Trek: Discovery's Engle class!
My only question is this: Are you going to release any more Romulan ships ? Because it seems to me that you will just keep releasing this Fed/Disco ships and just ignore the other factions.Maybe a KDF ship ,once in a while , but the new policy seems to be play fed or go home. You can ban my question it wouldn't be the first time , but i would really like an honest answer.Because this kind of inconsistency in the game , discourage new players and alienates older players.
Seems like a cool ship to be added, MU Engle carrier, with intriguing features & nice other additions to the Infinity Lock Box repertoire too. Wasn't there recently an Infinity Lock Box event like just a couple of weeks ago? In the end though it would still be losing by Cryptic's gambling odds since there's no accountability nor transparency no matter how lengthy the possible winning list is. This is why Cryptic adds new "cool" items to the winning list to entice players to gamble instead of jacking-up the odds of actually winning a bit.
Its a nice setup for an escort carrier but I think the ship chosen to be it is wrong. The eagle class looks more like a light cruiser than a carrier. I think it would have been better to surprise everyone with using a ship from Disco that hadn't been seen yet in game like the Hoover class. Which does look more like a carrier with the two top bounted angled flight decks.

I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

You know what this means? This Week's big sale will be for Keys in the C-Store. And the 20-pack will be back.

This doesnt make any sense to me. why would they release a fully scaling star ship, and then put it in a lock box, that means its character bound right? Can only use it to level once?? WTH is the point? I want a fully scaling zen ship. I bet it would be one your biggest sellers. *walks away dumbfounded*
Could this be the end of regular Lockboxes from now on? Infinity seems much more popular than specific ones. This and scalable ships from 1.
So can we say is this to Infinity and Beyond?

It’s Discovery ugly, but I find the console somewhat interesting for my main science toon. I need more info on the console because as it stands, I wouldn’t get the ship for the ship or trait.
Looks like the klingons got the better part of the deal. Access to a good trait and they get to stay away from Disco designs.
The stats of the disco designs look decent enough, but the visuals will most likely put a lot of people off. This is not to mention that the ship is likely to become pretty expensive on the exchange solely for fed to get their hands on the trait (and perhaps experimental weapon).
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Just a note, there's no way to scroll the leveling table on Chrome Mobile, and you can't see all of the table in portrait orientation. Holding my phone sideways it still looks incomplete, but does display the Science Consoles column. Samsung Galaxy J7.
As for the box, it's an interesting experiment. Hopefully this means Mirror Constitution that's level-scaling in a lock box at the same time as the content drop in January (maybe with new species for Disc chars?) Maybe have all LB ships going forward be level-scaling from 1? How about all ships level scaling from now on?
This is unexpected. Mirror ships are always welcome for me. Perhaps this paves the way towards having the canon DSC mirror classes - Cardenas, Crossfield and Walker, too. Imagine the ISS Charon!
My only question is this: Are you going to release any more Romulan ships?
Per Ten Forward: yes, very likely as part of the big bundles that follows Anniversary event.
That said, I will have to chime in as well and say that with the Nimitz and Engle hitting without a KDF-aligned accompaniment there's a growing sense of content imbalance which doesn't interact well with the other factions being involved strictly through holodeck simulations (played entirely to the persona of a DSC-era captain.) It's difficult to remain emotionally or practically invested with those characters and while the S'torr warship helps it will take time for it to reach the population.
And even with respect to DSC FED, the impact here is diluted with the fact that three of the four era-themed end-game ships (Walker, Crossfield, Engle) are only available through lock boxes/lobi. That...really doesn't sit well with me, feels like heavy handed monetization (at the direct expense of faction design) and I can only hope that the balance starts shifting much sooner rather than later. The mirror Engle looks like a great ship (very tempting), but I don't fancy this content strategy (DSC-FED needs more accessible end-game ships in their theme first, KDF needs hugs.)

Because they will make a lot more money on it by putting it in a lock box, obviously. And if they make a lot more money, they can create a lot more content for this game we play.
I see this being very sought after. The ability to fly this all the way from the tutorial is a game changer.
Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

Hey! That's the crappy flat pancake ship I was always forced to be in BoBS!
But still looks better than the ships the KDF and Romulans get...
This is another pass for me.
Is the class name acutually spelled E,N,G,L,E or is it supposed to be Eagle-class? And perhaps they are making sure that a scaling-starship concept actually works well before applying it to say....A T6 Nova or Oberth maybe a Bird-of-prey for Klingons and Romulans.
I'd honestly rather see the prime one in the C-Store, alongside some others, as well as KDF ships.
.. KDF & RRF.
Interesting ship. With the Nacelles hugging the Saucer hull like that, it looks like a missing link to both the Oberth-class & Defiant-class ships. I think I want this...
•DS9 Universal Kit Modules
◦Miniature Spore Relay
◦Para Bellum
◦Choose Your Pain
Wouldn't those be DSC Universal Kit Modules?

PS - I fully support a T6 Nova, fixing the Nova skins. I am also rooting for a T6 Science Cruiser, that can use Nova/Rhode Island skins. T6 Nova/Rhode Island, T6 Oberth & T6 Constellation are needed. Also needed a T6 Science Cruiser, that can wear any Science or Cruiser skin.
It is good to finally see another MU ship and one that scales from out of the tutorial all of the way up to 65. It would have been nice to see this in the C-Store and to also get Klingon and Romulan ships that also scale with level. Will there be a prime universe version in the C-Store coming soon?
It's a great ship but, I'm not wasting my keys on infinity lockboxes. So many things I have no interest in and just so much junk!
If you're looking for [insert ship here] from a box or lobi the way to go is always sell keys or promo packs with zen. As with MTG deck building, only go for randomized packs if you want a grab bag of stuff and the fun (such as it is) of the draw (which can be a nice way to start out a new alt, open a few boxes and use the results for a randomized boost that you have to play off of. It's the STO equivalent of drafting.)
With the current promo you may be looking at maybe ~4,400 zen for the new ship (assuming the market prices it similar to the Crossfield now and promo packs don't significant depreciate as your selling them on the exchange. If the engle settles to around the walker: 3,200 zen)

Seeing as this is a MIRROR variant... we could still see a prime universe variant later on.

Well ... throw the prime in a lockbox then.

While there is precedent for that, there is no precedent for a Mirror Universe ship in the C-Store, mainly because Terran is not a playable faction.
Where is Dr BREEN when you need him?
