Just saying. I felt it was the next one, and I pointed out in chat a few times that the hive is the likely suspect of being a promo ship, and look what happens!
Wow, that things a real monster. 1.7 hull, 5 engineering and defense screens, with 4/3 and 2 hangers of herq swarmers.
Plus inspiration abilities?
Shame its in those terrible r&d boxes...I hate that promotion (and so yes I don't buy them...I know my luck would never see me getting my beloved TMP Connie)
like nobody who has played this game for more than a season ever saw this coming...EVERY new enemy race they introduce, their ships always wind up in lockboxes as soon as their story arc ends, or at least is close to ending
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
The Force is united within me.

Oh I love my Intel Sheshar (wasn't a command variant back then), remember I paid 495 mil ec for her on the exchange when the cap was 500 million. Don't even care that a week later she was down to 420 million, before skyrocketing to what these ships go for now. Soo much grinding... Not gonna repeat that.
Having a Klingon D7 would be lovely as well, but yeah, not at current prices and not buying R&D boxes.

I wouldn't mind having a Temporal Connie, but I wouldn't know who to use it on. Also wouldn't mind the 26th Century Romulan Dread.
As for the Hur'q in a Lockbox... looks like more phaser comin', and gonna be interesting to see how they convert the arm mounted weapons into handheld for our characters.
I predict that the lobi weapon will have that multi pulse disable cone. And if there is a piece of armor... probably with a high polaron resist, considering it appears that Hur'q ground mobs seem to have a high natural Polaron resistance.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I'm glad you enjoy your dread. But I agree with you on the prices that are on the exchange for these ships right now. I've never even come close to having 100m EC, much less the 1b that some of these ships go for. So no buying from exchange. Once in awhile I'll have the zen for some boxes, but that's about it.
So if I feel like taking a small chance, I will. If not, nothing lost. I certainly won't come in here like some have done and complain endlessly that I opened X amount of boxes and got nothing.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
Never seen the point of buying the R&D boxes having a couple of alts capped on the mats storage so I don't need more and the promo ships are such a low chance theres no incentive to drop zen on gambling for one.
I still miss the old crafting even if it meant a visit to memory alpha it at least felt like you were doing something more than some daft timesink thing.
I'd never recommend gambling for an R&D promo ship unless you want the lobi primarily or have some Z's burning a hole in your wallet. The odds are tiny and the price to pay is huuuge (you could get 2-3 box/lobi ships for the same price quite easily).
But the Ex price is insane too so perhaps they are simply out of most people's reach really. Nice to have but i'd never recommend anyone seek one out, better things to buy for similar prices.

Which does make one wonder about the consoles, traits, and innate abilities that would come with the rest of the Hur'q space ORBAT. Logically, the Nekcrid would also have the auto-screens, and its console would be what the Vedcrid's trait is based on... and where does that leave the Vridyat, seeing as its gimmick (the energy nullifers) are on the Vedcrid's console? Then there is the mystery of phasic harmonic weapons (phaser damage; unknown proc)...
And then there's the matter of ground gear. Fortunately, there's concept art which gives us a good look at Hur'q weapon models; while seeing those adapted into the more usual pistol/rifle/heavy models would be interesting, there is equal merit in seeing them scaled to fit our characters and boffs while retaining their distinctive 'mounting'. Also at least two kit modules mirroring abilities we've seen the Hur'q use.

Quite. Just get a Tarantula instead.

Definitely a tactical captain. I put mine on my main character and gave my alt-main KDF tac a D7. Both are really good ships. Really fun to fly.
My main is flying a Walker.

Yep, that's why my main has one, and why I did my vision of it on my banner below.
