Jem Hadar EV suit

just spent 550 Zen on jem hadar EV suit and feel like i was ripped off first its 1 suit when they show 4 projecting you get more than 1
second its not an account unlock
Third no where in the description does it state it is single character 1 item unlock I really would not have bought it if i knew it was 1 suit on 1 character for 550 Zen.
I'm a little mad but more Disappointed they really need to clarify in the description its a single character unlock for 1 suit.

    That is saddening to hear.

This has been the case with every single EV suit offered in the C-STORE all along, so it should really be no surprise.

LTS has had the FED, KDF, and ROM EV suits made available as account-wide free multiple reclaim, but so far that hasn't happened with the TOS or DOM EV suits.

Everything on the Item tab in the C-Store is a single transaction only. Also, it doesn't show 4 different suits, it shows the same suit from different angles.

i'm disappointed to hear this. That is WAAAAY too expensive for a single unlock. Is there any alternate variants to it, is it unlocked with free future claims for boffs, or is it just a single ev suit? I REALLY like the look of this suit but i'm not buying it if that's all there is to it for that price.

Its just a single EV suit, and its priced just like all the other EV suits have. Back when the Fed and KDF suits were C-Store items, as Baddmoon said, they were priced the same for single items.

If you bought the gamma pack could you reclaim as many ev suits as you want so your away team is matched up?

Nope. It gives you just 1 EV suit for 1 character.

You say I am wrong and that might be true my point was that they could of made it more clear when i buy a borg Boff from C-Store it clearly states this is a single character unlock and if you delete it you will not be able to reclaim one.
just saying they could of made it clearer and even though i have been playing since 2013 I never bought an ev suit from the C-store and newer players sure would not know.

It's very disappointing that you can't equip your BOFFs with at least the same EV suit look. Because of that I don't use the TOS EV suits when I otherwise would. And there's no way I'd buy the ViL one.

Always buy packs, always buy packs. That's Cryptic's rule numero uno: Always buy packs. In any of their games. Only packs. Be it ships, items or boosts. Put aside the money or zen till you can buy the pack.

(I bought a single pilot escort ship back in the day, I deeply regretted not buying the whole megapack.)

Why would you *buy* an EV suit to begin with?! You can just grab your Faction-aligned EV suit from their respective bases (for you, and all your boffs); and these EV suits are outstanding!

While this is good advice, it does not apply to the EV suit in question. Buying the gamma pack only gives you 1 Jem'Hadar EV suit that can be used on 1 character. And it's bound to character.

I've not seen how these Dominion EV suits look but I personally prefer the Sol EV suits. You can get 3 different versions of it for free and for three and 50 lobi each you can get two more variants. A Sol EV suit for every member of your away team! Though not sure if Dominion characters can do older content.

    One PER character.

I think what make matters worse is when one makes the unfortunate mistake to trash the suit after claiming there is no way to reclaim it on the same character. Sadly I did so yesterday with the Kelvin timeline Android who is obscurely also listed as an “item” in Z-store.

Nothing to see here folks, the OP was entirely wrong.

On the contrary, the OP is right with what he says. While I respect your general white knight attitude towards cryptic I think it is a bit misplaced here. The description of the items are bad at best and there is no reason at all not to handle such items like they do with ships or other unlocks.

That suit is a vet reward, only available for subscribers and lts.

    My bad.

so it would cost 2200 to outfit your away team not including yourself to have everyone in your team to look more uniform. Well it could be worse, it could have been on the lobi exchange.

You can get Tholian rep suits nearly free and use those if you just want EV suits.

^This. Nukura does not have any elite marks... you just need to slowly grind it away... even if it's 1 red alert a day. You will get the Nukura EV suits. The Rep has 3 you can get. Then there is the Solane mission that also has 3 different EV suits you can get.

I meant the ones that come out of the daily project boxes. :p they're adequate if all you need is a few suits for Boffs.

I don't white knight man. It's simple, the OP was raging about the zen ev suit he bought only being a single character purchase, but all ev suits in the zen store are single character purchases. So he was factually wrong, which he has acknowledged. He was also under the mistaken impression that the purchase was 4 different suits when he was just looking at 4 pictures of the same suit. It's not "white knighting" to point out facts.
I was not raging I just stated that while I was a little mad I was more disappointed and while you claim they treat this suit like every other EV c-store suit which is true, but if you never bought 1 or read the description you would not know its a single suit purchase. My point was that they could make it a little clearer in the description that its a single character unlock.

Except EV suits don't say single character in the description, which is the OP's point.

Nevermind the game goes out of it's way to give completely free EV suits in almost every instance in which they are needed. Just play Stormbound or something and it'll practically force you to grab 5 free suits.

or that, yeah. Or Boldly they Rode, which actually has a QUEST objective for getting a freebie junk EV suit.

The basic position of the post is not wrong. The fact that previous items in the store may have been handled in a similar fashion neglects the fact that newer players would not have sufficient experience in-game to know that or older players may simply have never been tempted to purchase a particular item category (even ships).

Each description for all items in the c-store should state specifically

    Account unlock: yes/no
    Single item purchase: yes/no
    Reclaimable if deleted: yes/no

Now, if the argument is that it's unnecessary because account unlock or reclaimable are the exceptions, not the rule, so need only be identified when applicable, a single clear statement to that effect could work. However, some confusion could arise from the lack of consistency for item descriptions, the placement in the descriptions, and the actual verbiage.
