Does it really matter what year they say it is?
What is this? The annual "Isn't it time for 24xx" thread?
There was the almost identical title for 2410!
I say the devs should retconn to match our year so make it 2418. Saying we've done all that we have done in less than 24 months is high form of lunacy.

By the Future Proof Arc, every present day is 2410. They had said they wanted the Lukari stuff to jump off 2411, but they dropped Beyond the Nexus right in the middle of it. This is concurrent in lore, 2410 was it's next appearance. The next one after this is 2449/50, since it happens every 39.1 years.
And with the Transwarp function, everything in the Gamma quadrant can take place within a week's time.
The longest arc, time wise, we would have had with transwarp, Delta, at about 6 months.

Except for the opening cinematic of "Surface Tension" explicitly saying it takes place in 2410.
thats a thing, all the missions except one or two don't have a fixed date on when they occur in the timeline. one mission would say it, but for all i know most of the missions are between 2409 and 2440. unless that detail is pinned down, it would be difficult to pin down the timeline as exactly 2410.
One of the devs made a comment on reddit stating that STO timeline is still 2410.
basically nothing then. that isn't proof, it is someone saying something and not proving the case.
it would be nice if there is a stardate or a earth date at the start of each misison in the bottom corner and put all the missions in their correct places in the timeline.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Does anyone know if there is an actual reason that they don't increment the STO years with our years, and for that matter why choose the year 2409 to start everything, why not match it 1 year later for 2410 and 2010, then increment yearly, my toons are all suffering from combat exhaustion!
One way of looking at is this: It's the 25th Anniversary of DS9. Does this mean that the events that take place in the show should be bumped up 25 years because they're being watched now? The story missions in STO take place during a specific period of time. From a technical standpoint, changing what year a FED toon graduates from the Academy would also mean changing every single mission which either references the time it takes place or how long ago "such-and-such" happened.

Give it another decade or two... What's the rush?

That's a very nice visual. Thanks for creating that.
