Ok if cryptic ever made holodeck missions where we sit in the captains chair and relieve some of the greatest momments in trek history, which episode or battle would you like to relive as captain.

"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

TOS: Balance of Terror
Movies: Wrath of Khan, Undiscovered Country
TNG: Gambit, Parallels
Movies: Nemesis (Battle of Bassin Rift)
DS9: Shattered Mirror, One Little Ship
Voy: Macrocosm
Ent: Broken Bow, In a Mirror Darkly
Dsc: Context Is for Kings
Tried to think of some that had decent action either in space or ground. Although flying a shuttle in a ship interior would be funny.
Lol... Can you imagine flying a ship in a ship's holodeck? Shipception!
But seriously, I would love a Balance of Terror Holodeck mission... Of course, they'd have to get rid of certain symbols in such a mission due to German and Austrian laws. But yeah, it would be great to have holodeck missions.

I'm more interested in the fact that there was a stealth ship vs a non stealth ship. To me the BoP felt similar to the old U-Boats in tactics. Appear, strike, disappear. And as subs were a new thing in WW2, tactics to counter them were still in development after the first encounter.
Having a Patterns of Force holo mission would be interesting, but there's Germany and Austria's laws to consider. PWE and Cryptic may have to find a way to have such a mission but without those certain symbols. I certainly don't want Cryptic to get into trouble. So that's a headache of its own...

WW1 actually for submarines, by WW2 anti-submarine tactics had evolved with things like sonar and Radar.
Balance of Terror would be interesting, as would the Battle of Khitomer
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

U-Boats were still some of the nastiest ships in the Atlantic though. And radar was more for surface and air contacts.

Radar can spot a periscope, the U-Boats were a menace due to their tactics (I named my Fleet Eclipse in honor of Admiral Doenitz, commander of the U-Boats).

In theory…. But only reliably on calm seas, and it takes a fine detail that WW2 radar lacked.
Other than being utterly and completely impossible and bearing no resemblance to a real nebula in any way.
Honestly... we don't know what effects a Nebula will have with any systems whatsoever. Until we actually get inside one, we can't factually say one way or the other that anything is accurate. The CLOSEST we got right now is Earth Clouds, but that doesn't really work as that's just water vapor and has no impact on aircraft.
he's referring to the fact that a real nebula wouldn't be visible to the naked eye because it isn't a huge gaseous cloud like they're depicted in almost every sci-fi franchise and space-based video game

Which is guesswork made by people who've never been closer than 10LY to any nebula.

There are a LOT more variables in nebulas.

Never heard of that one.
Now... there were apparently 2D lifeforms that inhibited Troi's empathic abilities when the Enterprise was caught in a river of them...
