The interrupt when closing rifts is very annoying. However, the queue made me build a ship just for this queue. Being able to survive longer vs dispatching enemy ships quicker and easier. With a Enginner Fed Dreadnought or Klingon tactical Miracle Worker ship, I try to draw threat away from everyone else. It works well when everyone works together and stays near each other by going around the star base, closing rifts and activating the satellites.

You should try it as a mine layer build. Your mines drop even when the other weapons are not firing which interrupts the closing of the rift.
Yes, 50,000 Dilitium. Slightly more than what one of the Colony Holdings requires in a day in its trek from T2 to T3.

I think the armitage and some escorts have a balance problem, they do abnormal damage spikes in some rare cases. Sometimes I'm at 100% and I die virtually instantly, and I have well balanced ships with upgraded gear and damage resistance. But this happens about 2-3 times per hundred runs of mirror invasion.
Otherwise it's a very fun queue! I'm always very happy when it comes around. The only thing truly dreadful about it is Obisek. May he and his pal Slamek die horrible deaths! And take your vauthil station with you.
Armitages, they just seem way overpowered sometimes.
All of these ships seem to have commander bridge officer seating all across the board,
also pretty normal, every one of their mobs have something powerful, Cruisers have Tractor Beam 3, Torp HY 2 and BFAW 1, Escorts have Cannon Scatter 3, BFAW 2, Torp HY 2 and even a Point Defense Turret (that will vape your shields and shred any pets), and every Science ship has Feedback Pulse 2, which is nothing to sneeze at, since the bigger you're hitting them, the more they're hitting you.
and all of them are able to fire at you while OUTSIDE the 10km weapons range
Wow, that sounds like a massive bug. I've never seen that happen, and I've done this event every time its happened, every single day, sometimes on multiple alts, until the event ends; and I've never seen this happen. Do you have something that shows this happening?
I was in a run earlier tonight in which the station was already taking damage WITHIN A MINUTE of starting, because the portals were already spawning command ships. I have literally watched a portal FORM, and spawn a command ship immediately.
That also must be a massive bug, because I've never seen portals spawn command ships until they spawned in two groups, the first trio of frigates, then a duo of frigates and either an Escort, Cruiser or Science ship, and then the Command ship. If its happening so often, could you get some screenshots of it? Or better yet video? Portals have a distinctive color to them for each phase, so it'd be easy to see one open with its basic green glow and a command ship appearing.
They weren't denying that it existed, just asked for evidence.
It really does sound like a bug too. I've never experienced the 'big' ships coming out first either. Three frigates, two frigates and escort/science/cruiser, then the heavy hitter command cruisers.
Perhaps Cryptic could look into it and fix it for next time. We certainly don't need the heavy ones first.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
I've never been fired upon in MI from beyond 10 Km, I doubt anyone has, I'll wager anyone who thinks they have been is taking fire from a ship inside 10 k thats in their blind spot.
Most likely a fighter they can't see unless target it. I thought I was being hit from ships outside 10km the other night till I hit tab and targeted a fighter that was tailing me.
The spawns today seemed pretty out of whack in the runs I did.
From the outset there were rifts putting out double wave spawns so you'd fly over and be fighting a pair of escorts from one spawn along with the proximity of other rifts and wonky aggro dragging more in from across the map the volume of ships about got to insane levels within first minute or two.
Depending on how you have the targetting options set fighters become untargettable and since they're so small only way of seeing them (without turning everything on) is to watch for the piddly little red dots of their torps.

It's also possible that its from attacks made from 9.9km away and haven't finished their cycling and/or reached you (in the case of torpedoes).
I don't doubt that a bug like that could happen, but seeing it happen does help show it can and does happen, like the video of the USS Running Man bug, or a Breen Ship getting a tummy ache.
I think that the Terrans were trying to prove us like Khan in the Mutara Nebula. They try to take advantage of us by fighting in three dimensions. We are there trying to close Rifts or battle the swarms near them and suddenly pot shots hit you from above.
I finished up today and I believe I had only two runs where the Station did not get blown up. Today the Station was at 100% health, I turned away to take out a Frigate group that came through a Rift so I could close it. The next minute I noticed that the Station's Health is all red. I don't know if we were fighting Terrans or Hur'q swarms.

I've had several runs where the station stayed at 100% health and we closed a buttload of rifts and got its defenses all the way up. I'd say my TRIBBLE runs and good runs were running neck n neck, so tomorrow I'll be glad to get them over with.

The escort ships seem to have a full set of beams AND cannons.
That's pretty normal, all their escorts have two beams and a Quad Cannon
Unfortunately I don't have the means of recording my gameplay. What I say is based on what I've SEEN. The escorts? They have at least NINE weapons. I saw an escort BFAW, hitting 4 ships simultaneously. So there's 4 weapons. Quad cannons in the front? 5.... Front AND rear torpedoes? 7... it was also firing at least 2 turrets from the rear. So there's NINE weapons. TWO more than an escort SHOULD have. My screencap sucks, but the first portal that opened during my last run, spawned three frigates, a Galaxy cruiser, AND a Nebula science vessel. So bugged??? More than likely. But thankfully this garbage ends tonight for me.

It's because NPC torps either don't apparently suffer from doing no damage to shields like player torps do, simply ignore them completely, or have such massive damage that they can kill you through shields from bleed alone. In order to one shot a ship with a resilient shield using just torps, for instance, at 100K HP, an NPC would be dishing out some 2M damage, as only 5% would do anything and the rest would just be eaten by shields.
That’s not how shields and torpedoes work or interact. 2million would completely overwhelm the shields and what’s left will do full damage to hull without any 75% damage penalty.
Shields do not eat the entire damage. It’s the same misconception when people think a sliver of shields will protect you against a torpedo. It won’t.

easier ways to get dil, try a battlezone.
The CC thing was a nonsense thing that took longer to load into than get done it was hardly worth calling an event.
The only reason it'd return would be to pander to the dps epeen wavers and there's enough of that in the game already.
I like that it is quick... can run down all my toons and do it in under 5 mins each.
all ques/events should take around the time to do a Borg or Tholian Red Alert.
But the longer ones do need to be done better to have player retention beyond the first week after they arrive.

I usually enjoy the MI, but I am glad it's almost over. I have two more runs to make for mine. One on my Lifer and one on my F2P.
Didn't see any need to take anyone else in when I only go for marks when I'm playing them. And most of them only need Comp marks, so yeah.
