So I’m just over a hundred days from getting my 1000 day veteran rewards. How will I get my chimera veteran ship with out paying for a lts?

Yeah, I am 14 day to go for 1000 days sub, does this mean I am loosing the 1000 day benefits or as I am already subscribed I will still get them, sub payment was taken about 5 days ago.

Always amazed people actually do a monthly subscribe for 1000 days. That's about $500. You could have bought 2 LTS during a sale and still had $100 leftover.

The vast majority of my subscribed days are from when game first went live many years ago before game went F2P and was still subbed for a while after F2P came in before stopping payments, I stopped playing for about 5 years after that.

I too am curious if this new pack will give me more bank slots, I have only bought extra slots on my main but have 8 other alts that could benefit from the extra bank slots.

Yes it WILL! Re-read the article. It's all there and all self-explanatory. You get a one-time per character claimable pack.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Confirm that all Elite Starter Pack benefits apply to LTS (Life Time Subscribers)!!

I'm a LTS, just bought Elite Starter Pack (it's under the [Services] section, both for buying and claiming).

    1. For each of my characters in my LTS account, I got:
    +60 Bank Size Increase
    +30 Inventory Size Increase
    +2 Bridge Officer Slots

(Note: None of my characters have maxed out these metrics yet).

    2. Also got this for my LTS account:
    +20 Shared Account Bank Slots
    +1 Character Slot

    3. Embarassed to ask, where can we check how many Captain Retrain Tokens do I have??
+5 Character Retrain Tokens (presume correct; I could not verify this; see above question).

    4. I'll let you do the math as LTS for the cost/benefit analysis.
If you did not max out for all your characters, it's almost too good to be true ;)

Finally contributing back to the STO community ;)
Has anyone with an LTS actually tried buying the Elite Starter Pack to see if they stack - I would particularly be interested in the shared bank slots

storules, did you as a LTS actually go out to buy this Elite Starter Pack,
tried it out, and find that you did not get extra bonus (inventory slots, bank slots, shared account bank slots, BO slots)?

I'm a LTS, and also tickled to buy the Elite Starter Pack, but only if the bonuses work for someone who is already a LTS !

    This is confusing.

I have the LTS, is it worth getting this? Would I get in addition to what I have now

    30 Inventory Slots
    60 Bank Slots
    2 Bridge Officer Slots

Could I use this to help max out the Inventory, Bank and Bridge Officer Slots for all my Alts? Or is it worthless for a LTS player?

Worthless for LTS. You will not get extra bonus. Only way to increase slots either buy some more account bank slots, use your fleet banks or create another mule account.

Read the article very careful. If you are already "maxed out" you are out of luck. Otherwise will help...but so will any slot upgrades you buy from the C store.

    https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/10883424-the-elite-starter-pack

....this pack will not help you go over the maximum number of slots, so please be careful when purchasing

Cryptic should automatically bump-up to the next tier of subscriber rewards based off of the 100 day intervals for whichever players that are not already subscribed, but had been subscribers in the past. It should be rounded-up too of course as part of a friendly company gesture. It should include the current subscribed players that probably will eventually cancel their subscription too. Otherwise, Cryptic is pretty much stating thanks for your investment of money now here's a middle finger towards finishing any tiered goal unless LTS.

For the value of the Elite Starter Pack itself I haven't crunched the numbers yet, but I'm sure someone already has. I plan to itemize the cost of the services included in the Elite Starter Pack at full cost then another itemization at -20% cost since I never buy anything unless on sale then compare the three.

A big loss is the ability to acquire that 500 zen monthly stipend unless one is a LTS or already currently subscribed.

Throughout the years if I recommended STO to anyone I'd always recommended subscribing for a month as well when leveling toon(s). Since that option will be extinct I won't & it's tough to recommend a LTS given the current state of STO with the ever-increasing inflation in-game over the last year & the ever-more gambling mechanics.

Can also conform that with the LTS you receive all of these bonuses if you have not maxed them out.

I did find one thing to be wary about if you happen to have a few retrain tokens already. I had five tokens (and one free one) going into the purchase. Afterwards I only had six (and one free one) when I should have had 10 (and one free one). I sent in a ticket and am waiting on a response, however, be aware if you have more than 1 token already 6 (and a free one) may be the max you are allowed.

Will admit that I am kind of tempted to get this for my LTS account although it will break my personal boycott of the store until the flash sales get extended to a better for all timeframe of 24 hours.

Done buying ships though, at least until they finally give klinks the long overdue t6 kar'fi.

I'm told that LTS players who have already maxed out character slots (possibly the others too) cannot purchase this item. Is this supposed to happen?

Wait a min, why are subscriptions going away? Not enough people doing it outside of LTS?

More likely they just want to streamline/unify their account and marketing. STO was the ONLY Cryptic game still allowing monthly subscriptions. With this move they now have STO operating like their other successful MMO - Neverwinter. Rumor is, they are working on yet another MMO to be released in the future, and this 'starter pack' paradigm is how they want to operate going forward.

ah, that explains it. Still wish they could figure out a way to make subbing more appealing than FTP. Cash shop luring is getting tiring.

now that will be hard. You buy now and grind out an additional delta. And that scales very well with how many toons you have.
Anyway I think this pack well worth it even without sale or delta recruit.

it doesn't say if you are locked out of buying it or if it just wouldn't do anything, only that it cannot be used to allow an LTS to go over the maximum for anything. You probably just wouldn't get a character slot or more account bank slots if they're maxed out.

I imagine you could still get it for the Inventory, bank and boff slots.

Champions Online still allows monthly subscriptions. I know it is easy to forget that it even exists when compared to Star Trek Online and Neverwinter.

The only reason why it took so long for Star Trek Online to adopt this model is due to Lifetime Subscriptions. So we knew that any future MMO would adopt a style similar to Neverwinter not Star Trek Online or Champions Online.

It does clearly state though that whatever services you have already at the max capacity: characters, BOFF slots, inventories etc., this package will not allow you to exceed the max capacity so be weary there.

I agree it should be a better value, as long as nothing is maxed, with more & more characters for the 1500 zen.

I just can't help the feeling that with Cryptic this is some sort of one two punch yet to come & this is just the jab since this Elite Starter Pack really doesn't make subscribing obsolete especially with the zen stipend & the potential of more retrain tokens for one's characters.

Go to your skills screen and press 'Retrain Skills', it'll tell you how many you have when it asks for confirmation.

The stipend is the only real long term perk with the LTS and since the introduction of t6 ships at 3k a pop and the pushing of triple packs its not quite as good as it once was.

Races are nice but nothing wow. The feds shuttle is the only nice looking one with the klinks being a wedge of cheese and rommie looking very much like an after thought scooped out the bin beside the drawing board. Vet ships aren't bad but so many others to choose from with the fed one oddly being the uglier of the trio being more than a bit pot bellied, perhaps an underhanded homage to shatners waistline.

I'm hoping they add Neverwinters Vip System to the Zen store! Maybe at some point add lifetime vip to the Zen store as well!
So I can finally play liberated borg.

You cannot put a value on the Elite pack simply because it gives a one-time per character reclaimable pack of inventory slots, bank slots, and boff slots.

And no, Cryptic does not need to bump sub rewards up for anyone, especially those that are still subbing. They are not losing out.

Some of the preview footage for ViL does have a store section called VIP (it was empty of further info at the time) so thats what I'm expecting to see happen with STO and certainly the move away from paid subs does seem to support that.

NW's VIP system is mandatory. It makes the game extremely enjoyable and convenient. And thru 1 key per day it pays for itself.
i really hope they put VIP into STO and CO too.

It's not mandatory, I play Neverwinter and I don't use VIP.

Obviously, but a Lockbox Key every day is certainly useful. If STO implements a VIP system would Lifers get it for free? Since the VIP system is essentially a subscription.

    tyler002,

    Many thanks for your advice!

    1. I'm horrified to find that there are "zero" (nothing) "Retrain Skills" tokens on my Account,
even after purchasing this Elite Starter Pack (should have received 5 extra ones from this Elite Starter Pack).

    2. Anyone have any idea how many Retrain Skill Tokens should I have, since I've never used any Retrain Skill tokens?
~I'm a Lifetime Membership subscriber of STO as soon as it came out (ordered during Open Beta STO)
~Pre-Ordered STO for Open Beta access to STO before it came out.
    ~STO Collector's Edition pre-order
    ~STO Digital Deluxe Edition pre-order
    ~STO from Target (for TR116)

You can report it, but it's more then likely not a bug.

This is how STO works with everything on the C-Store.. you cannot buy packs if you already own or cannot receive something in that pack. This is to prevent players from buying a pack and then complaining that they didn't get something that was advertised. It's worked this way for quite a while, so since you cannot receive the extra slots in the pack, you are unfortunately unable to purchase it.
