Hello,
I love how the Gorn minefield has been changed to the new Romulan Imperial Minefield. I played it today, there was lots of people queueing for it. But I guess that's because it's new.
I hope it will remain active for a while though, it should be easier for the queue to fill up now that more factions can play.
I also hope it'll be easier to play the "Big Dig" and "Breaking the Planet"!
And wooo! I won 1st place in the Romulan Imperial Minefield on my first run.
What do you guys think? I also like that Captain Nog is providing voice overs for the queue.

Did it and it's very easy, but then my ship is loaded with UR/Epic Mk 14 stuff. Didn't see an option for Advanced or Elite versions; we probably could use them.

And yes, those other two queues (and 'Mine Trap') receiving similar attention would be most welcome.
It's kinda like Starbase 24 was back in the days? Nowadays it doesn't run often, but I remember before it was always active with new Captain's and stuff... I miss the old days, where you beamed onto Starbase 24 as well.

why would they have access to newer republic designs when they barely have the resources and manpower to keep their own ships running? you need BODIES to capture enemy ships, and the tal shiar is all but wiped out, so they can't even rely on thievery and reverse-engineering of design schematics

My same thought when reading that the old queues were removed. I hate it when old accolades are no longer obtainable.

Clarification: what this means is that KDF, ROM, and FED players can all participate in one Minefield queue; just like the STF's, Dyson queues, Iconian queues, Tzenkethi queues, ect. Before the KDF and FED had separate versions of this PVE. Now: it's been consolidated into one for everyone (which helps people find matches.)
No system update has been made to any other part of the game.

Endeavour system would be an obvious way of keeping it on folks radar, then again this is cryptic and they shy away from thinking that way.
A bit of a downside is that it is lacking in aceton assimilators from the Gorn.
Those were punishing for those BFAW spamming.
Not bad. Most of the struggles for me were in learning to use a pilot ship again (was leveling T6 Andorian Escort) and not overshooting the targets from a cannon run.
For my level 60 characters I was able to curb stomp the Imperial Romulans so hard after the first two fights I refused to fire my weapons, and instead let my pets (Elite Orion Cutpurse Fighters, Guardian Drones, and Artillery Ships) do all my fighting and I still managed to come in 2nd, the cutpurse fighters alone shredded Imperial Romulans faster then I could get a target lock on them.
On my Remen in a Dacoit FDC it was much more challenging, my ship had to get in the thick of things and during the time I did the que twice I blew up once. My Orion Inceptors (basic) were still very useful and I did welp, but the fights were moderately challenging, and I had to put alot more effort into them like firing my ships weapons, and healing myself.
It didn't identify them as Tal Shiar. It identified them as Romulan Star Empire. They're Imperial loyalists.
Unless they just stole the designs and built a few. It's not like the Republic is an alien faction whose basic technological principles and construction methods will be unknown to the Star Empire.

Bingo.

Still doesn't resolve the problem of crewing and supplying them—there's plenty of things replicators can't make.

Holograms.
True but I don't think that the Romulan Star Empire in the STO universe is so bereft of personnel and materials that they can't field any ships (of a closely related faction with a shared technological base in recent history). They have deployed a fleet in the minefield queue and precedent in the Star Trek universe does cover far cultures with greater divergences in resources, technology, and common history building each other's ships from stolen designs (see. Mirror Universe Defiant-class in DS9. The Rebellion had help but only in final stages of testing.)
This isn't to say (in justifying in-universe what's probably just a content design oversight) that the Star Empire is wholly updating itself to using Republic ships. I find it more interesting to think that're building a very limited number Republic ships as a pragmatic short-cut to native R&D when they absolutely need a more advanced ship for a specific role. Otherwise, they'll continue to maintain and perhaps produce classic imperial designs.
