    Great news - just finished levelling a new toon a week ago or so and some cheap upgrades are more than welcome.

    It would have been even better if the prizes had been updated though - still waiting for a chance to get the Voth Furiadon fangs for another toon I recently created.

    The Lukari Ho’kuun Science Vessel [T6] is currently missing from the box, instead its the Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort [T6]

    The Xyfius was already there. PC is missing event ships added after that, but more than a year old, the Chel Boalg and Ho'kuun, as well as event items that are also over a year old, the I.S.S. Stadi Admiralty card and the Crystal Radiation Projector.

    It's past time to update this thing with some new stuff.
    This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    Posted was edited. Lukari T6 was listed originally as an epic token reward but not to be found in-game, now corrected and no longer on list.

    Even when I think this game is sliding down hill it is nice & puts a smile on the face when the Phoenix Prize Pack returns. Now I just need more dilithium.

    I know this is probably a silly question but how do I claim the free pack? I did not see it in the store.

    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Had a feeling one was coming so tweaked my dil exchange stuff and logged in to around 4k zen

    Did not expect one so soon, and don't really want to gamble away another boatload of dilithium for that T5 JHAS given the likely standard lockbox 1 in 250 chance, and sort of regret getting the risian cruiser given its visuals are bugged and the corvette console remains functionally bugged meaning the set bonus wasn't worth the mountain of dilithium for it over the JHAS.

    It also seems the 'daily' countdown starts as soon as you claim the first pack, which might equal one extra pack, if really looking for crumbs.

    It does seem a bit lazy & uninspired that the Phoenixes don't have anything new added this go around. Just more of Cryptic's coasting on work & cutting back on rewarding possibly.

    Any chance we could get the Kobali uniform added to the Phoenix boxes? I still don't understand why it was removed from the mission rewards when other uniforms are still available.

    The only thing that they've cut back on regarding rewards in the last couple of years was Contraband turn-ins. I'd say that's offset by the windfall of rewards from Admiralty. They really do need to update the contents of the Phoenix pack, but any cutting back is in your head.

    oh so you got a T5 token and used it on a risian cruiser? should of posted on forums to ask for opinions... I think everyone would of told you to get the JHAS for the unlock of Frigate Pets if you ever get the Carrier. Since the Risians could very well be released as T6 freebies in the future events.

    Really hoping for a T6 Risian Corvette but instead it could well be another Vorgon or even Ferengi ship. Been wishing for a T5 Corvette ever since old projects were retired way back without any way to slot them for the following year.

    The cruiser is pretty special for its ridiculous indoor beach visible through its windows if open, something I don't think will exist on any other ship, but unless the corvette console gets fixed I regret getting it for the set bonus instead of the T5 bug.

    Will keep trying for the bug but the goal has to be upgrade tokens, which are the best cheap way to upgrade second only to omegas.

    I'd like to suggest adding the Kobali outfit at some point into the Phoenix box. Or just making it available again from Dust to Dust like the Yesterday's Enterprise belts are in Temporal Ambassador.

    Or the Iconian outfit from Midnight, or Okeg's shirt from Temporal Front. The Kobali outfit belongs as a permanent mission reward from Dust to Dust, not in the Phoenix Pack.

    You know what could go in there? Old Party Horns/Poppers. Those first 2 Poppers are getting down to single digits available on the exchange. Maybe the Photonic Tribble and BOff from the referral program. Heck, maybe even the titles from it, too. Give us a reason to spend tokens on other things.

    I agree, some new items would be sweet.

    I'm surprised by having another Phoenix event so soon after the last- because my refined dilithium stocks haven't fully replenished I've only bought half as many packs as I normally do. What with the drop in exchange rate I've also bought some Zen to replace that expended acquiring the latest mega bundle. Hopefully I've gotten enough packs to finish fully upgrading my toon's gear- all I need now is another upgrade event! :D

    If Cryptic is true to form they'll only announce such a weekend after the Phoenix one has finished.

    I could see some reasoning if the lessening of Contraband turn-ins were to compensate for the Admiralty, but I still don't think it was needed since there's still the refinement choke-point.

    As another already stated that Kobali uniform, which I agree with being a mission reward. I am still disappointed from way back when Cryptic lessened the RA's rewarded marks & Neural Processors & similar, especially, only being from Elites. That hampered my outfitting "alts" I was building up for dust collecting. The reduced ability in acquiring them though is what I was thinking about in my head.

    "Or the Iconian outfit from Midnight, or Okeg's shirt from Temporal Front." For Phoenix Boxes or any special event a good idea that could be expanded upon greatly for lots of cosmetic stuff. I personally think Cryptic should add the Ambassador & Kamarag Retrofits too for the Phoenix Boxes.

Cryptic has set a precedent for re-introducing those exclusive past items back into STO for steep costs like the Phoenix Boxes so I suppose those horns/poppers could as well or you, or anyone, could just pony up the credits & pay the price on the Exchange if you want it that bad. I do like their novelty, but find how some players use them annoying. I'd have no interest in that Photonic Tribble, but that doesn't mean many would not want it. Whereas, the referral BOFF I would like to be added & acquire, but would that be perceived as diminishing those that earned it back then? Cryptic tends to side with exclusivity rather than inclusiveness. Unless it is PvP offering a chance for something old to new players, character or account bound, all the way from previous recruitment events to those damn horns/poppers doesn't diminish the value of it for older players since STO is primarily PvE imo. None of the Phoenix Boxes matter anyways to me much anymore, Cryptic has me on permanent Green/Blue Prize Token patrol.
