How are my suggestions bad? Simply put this is a good start. PVP is essential for a MMO to grow, if they wanna attract new people then they need to improve the PVP.
1. Rewards for PVP
2. Add new open space PVP zones with no PVE elements that people can also que up for
3. New game modes, sandbox game mode to spawn NPC ships of various difficulties to create your own battles and fight against them yourselves, would be a great testing ground to see how many elite difficulty ships you can go up against
4. Option to voice over content with Forge created missions so people who create the missions can do voice overs themselves, voice overs with texts makes the game far more immersive, sitting there to read it is boring.
5. Cardassia Prime? Betazed? There are many major star trek races and we can't even visit their home worlds.

1. New places and more missions, not new mechanics, lockboxes and new ships and new stuff to grind for.
PvP kills every game period! It's been the same in every game. It ends up becoming a hate and bile viled experience full of trolls. And on top of that, it makes the 'P2W' claimers come out in force. The reason I like this game so much is because there is literally no PvP, forced or otherwise. There's also no appetite from players for PvP matches at all. Have you actually watched the numbers queueing for the current PvP?? There's barely anyone that plays it. And finally there are (or were) EC rewards for PvP matches.
For sandbox games, just make them in the Foundry.
As for personal VO, well it will still have to be vetted before publication, and I shouldn't have to tell you why
PvP is the life blood of games
The OP Suggestions are welcome keep pushing for change OP.
Wow no appetite for PvP then you need spend some money on the game...most PvP matches are Q via friends list
the public Q fails as no new maps, PvP zones any thing New would help but just for PvP you can add all rewards you like to PvP
if not worth my time no ones going to play it.. just like Foundry not worth my time...
I'm on a rate might well say I would mind see in C store a Full set of three ENG ship only! meaning 3 full ENG ships with different load outs stop with make are nice ENG ship have a TAC or SCI variant it not working for some of us.
yes add new game Modes would help PvP and remove respawns from PVP maps 1 death per match would fix it that and a total rework of skills and weapons.
stop with all invulnerability and immunity's that's big problem for PvP might be fine for NPC but it has no real place in PvP

A Troll is protector don't kid your self....
Most people who play STO don't necessarily like PvP especially when you consider this game has people who wouldn't be able make a dent against people with the best geat in the game.
As for the rest of your rant, it's hard to really understand for me what you're getting at. It sounds like instead of them making variants of a certain class of ship, they should make ship variants that are specific roles?

I would say the same Most people who play STO from my world only care about PvP when you consider we have best gear
and weapon's and spent enough on this game to buy a small HOME! that's why...
And yes Ships need have a full 3 ship set that revolves around 1 class of ship don't know why it's hard to understand
I'm tried of seeing 1 TAC 1 SCI 1 ENG in 3 ship release let focus on 1 class of ship and have 3 variant of that class.
A quick example would be Klingon ENG ship 3 variant of it, but still all 3 variant are ENG class
and speaking of Klingon or any race that has cloak or battle cloak needs have the Cloaks disabled when ships hall goes down to,lets say 50% it kind of brakes the game when see a ship Cloak with 1% hall left u know ship Broken LOL
Correction: some games. To many PVP can be entirely superfluous. For example: Borderlands 1. It's possible Cryptic could do more with their PVP but considering how this game competes against other titles (ie. by providing a strong set of story arcs, diverse zones, deep customization options, a balanced F2P model, and the Foundry) ticking a few multiplayer boxes won't push it ahead of its competitors in any area (they'll still be ahead and STO will have stagnated with respect to its own niche.)
It'll be better for Cryptic, and for the community, if they [continue to] focus on developing features that compliment STO's strengths (ex. new Foundry search UI, randomized exploration missions in the sector block, more colony fleet holding activities, more types of queues, new rewards structure, more episodes, more events, more customization options, ect., ect.)
If you don't find that suitable then perhaps you should consider another game for PVP (and take STO for what it is.) Asking Cryptic to dedicate a big update to competitive multiplayer is pretty much like asking Jaguar for a pickup truck. You might as well go get a Ford and spare a company the burden of having to invest in a product which doesn't fit their current portfolio.

I Disagree Cryptic new this would happen revenue for STO is gone down hill after 7 year we keep believing PVP will befix
Cryptic can't fix PvP in less New Game Engine is developed for the game....
I pointed this out before Cryptic don't have the old coders and programmer's that worked on STO aka city of hero lol
bad blood their so I will avid talking about it
Bottom line is wasting money on and time on (ex. new Foundry search UI, randomized exploration missions in the sector block, more colony fleet holding activities, more types of queues, new rewards structure, more episodes, more events, more customization options, ect., ect.) they need to focus on PvP multiplayer if they don't we lose STO as revenue will go down
till CBS pulls the plug for None payment for licensing rights.

This makes no sense.
First of all, I recommend trying to structure your points with definite sentences that allow thoughts to build and support each other. All I was able to interpret from your post was.
1. Revenue is down
2. PVP will fix it
3. Old engine = bad
None of which is supported by fact. Check your post, you offer no evidence or connecting reasoning. What you've done instead is simply repeated your opinion and peppered it with vague truisms (presumably thinking that because you believe them that other people will too.) Now, you're welcome to that opinion but in a discussion you really do need to bring more to the table (ex. sources), else people are just going to write off your ideas (which I say as someone who simply wants to have a more constructive conversation. I think you could do better.)
So to get you started, try answering the following question, using verifiable facts and concrete examples to support your opinion. If you'd rather not, then we can just let this conversation rest here (maybe that would be most productive, but it's up to you). So,
What's so good about PVP?

They almost tried once but the tac players whined and they reverted a lot of nerfs. This game is about dps, trinity is dead yet obviously there is large differences in performance between the 3 classes.
Actual balance things that are OP instead of just nerfing them to hell...so the time and resources people wasted aren't just thrown away.
Couple things off the top of my head.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
This was point out at before the Lunch of the game...
See, there's your problem. You can't point anything out to programmers before lunch - you have to wait until after they get some food into them!
well as I was invalid in 2006~2008 work On STO when Atari was in drivers set this was not the vision we had for STO
You were invalid for two years? How did you receive validation after that? And what does that have to do with Cryptic, which was owned but not in fact run by Atari at the time?
If you wish to engage in discussion on an English-language forum, I would recommend you either have your posts rewritten by someone fluent in English, or speak more plainly so that your meaning can be derived despite your lack of facility in the language.
LOL your Quoteing didn't get all conversation and your chary picking...
Now you calling me Stupid cause you don't like my ideas and maybe my English is not good.
only got in conversation cause OP was get ganging up on, so I post. NO ideas are bad..

I'm sorry...but you want actual real facts from the PvP crowd these days? Unless the person's name has Patrick in it...forget it. They are all delusional kiddies who thing they are hot stuff because they are too stupid to realize that PvP is dead and they killed the only real way for to make a comeback after DR.
STO Needs To Become A Better Game that what we are trying discuses what changes need to be mad if don't like the post or don't have something nice to carry on the conversation then don't post
The reason why old games like World of Warcraft are popular is because they consistently update the graphics, add new game modes and ways to play in addition to making the game difficult with various difficulty settings on Dungeons/Raids.
Star Trek Online is not doing this at all, what are they doing with this game? The same old updates, new ships, new weapons, new episodes, new pve que, new battlezones, the same old thing you would expect, in addition to this they had even more Reps and skill sets to grind but does anything really change? Nope, it's the same old game with nothing new added.
Why don't they actually try to make this game more enjoyable? First of all, they need Elite que's to add more rewards and longer STF missions need more rewards to, I notice people always play the same STF's over and over again, perhaps there are many who are in private matches because the PVE que's usually seem dead. PVP is also no where to be found with PVP que's, they also have no rewards for PVP for winners and maybe a smaller reward for losers. If they simply added rewards for PVP, more people would play PVP. They should also add "Honor" and rewards for killing an enemy in PVP. Perhaps they should get rid of cloaking abilities for PVP modes in the PVP systems, so there can actually be proper battles between FEDs and Klingons. Adding a Que for PVP zones would be great to, I simply enjoy PVP with games a lot, I have only stuck around with Star Trek Online because it has tons of PVE content and I really like the Space Gameplay and the Ground gameplay though not the best, is enjoyable enough especially with the 3rd person shooter mode.
How about some new game modes? I was thinking about a Sandbox game mode where you could spawn ships of various difficulties in the game and create your own battles in addition to fighting the ships yourselves but maybe you can already do this in the Foundry? I don't know. Also the graphics, has anyone noticed how MSSA 4x and MSAA 8x has no difference in quality at all? It's like they put the MSAA 8x antianalising just for show to give an illussion that you can increase it. The lighting update was very well done but I think they need to improve antianlaising, this game does look great on 4k though, if you can handle it.
Even though I like this game a lot and I never finished the episodes, the stagnant nature is turning me away, I will finish this game one day after I properly configure my builds but still, I wanna keep playing, hope they add some unique/new things eventually. This new expansion in Summer 2018 should focus also focus on fixing PVP and adding some new game modes, like the things I suggested I hope.
Summary of things that should be added for the expansion in 2018, these suggestions will bring the game great success and also tap into a wider audience, many people who play MMO's enjoy PVP so expanding on PVP will bring more people.
1. Rewards for PVP will bring many more people back to playing PVP
2. Add new open space PVP zones with no PVE elements that people can also que up for, 50 vs 50 or 100 vs 100 battles would be great
3. New game modes, sandbox game mode to spawn NPC ships of various difficulties to create your own battles and fight against them yourselves, would be a great testing ground to see how many elite difficulty ships you can go up against

This from someone who never finished the episodes.... OP finish the episodes then spout off until then your input is useless. Oh by the by WOW is full of empty zones. It bled millions of subscribers never to return to it's rotten corpse. STO unlike WOW doesn't rob plyers by costing 50 bucks for the new content plus monthly fees so if you wish to kill STO keep pushing WOW greed for mediocre content.

While I enjoy PvP and wouldn't mind it picking up in STO, yesh I completely agree...a 50 vs 50 would be a complete cluterfudge with all of the effects and abilities a 100 players could deploy...probably lose half of the players in the first minute between freezing and crashing

sto is an outdated game, which is also based off an outdated franchise (any pre-TRIBBLE). i think you people ask too much, and try too squeeze too much out of this tired old dog.
the future is either star trek 2, or sto will become as champions online. not truly abandoned, but not alive either to receive any significant overhaul, and will be kept "alive" by a few die-hards and 1-week casuals.
ironically, when there's nothing left to do once sto has reached "CO" popularity, people will start doing pvp out of boredom.
LOL TRIBBLE BDSM Feds, Disco lights when ship jumps WTF is with the spinning sh@t going into jump, LSD trip mindmelds, oh dont forget mushrooms power the ship... KT looks good next to TRIBBLE.

Yes New places more missions, are fine but when STO Lunched PvP was Pushed we all per ordered long before we new
that PvP in STO was not good...
most of hard core star trek PvP from star fleet command, 2, OP,SFC3,BC, left,
IF PvP was Fixed it might be good thing.. more players for one
even if somebody post every thing wrong with the game in detail and how to fix it will be years before we see it in game
reality sets in...
I told everyone at Cryptic this would happen if game engine was not redone..
I get to say I told you so
Cryptic last chance at save this game is Fixing game engine if that's not done soon we beeping on dead ship
and everyone will abandon ship..
Cryptic need tell the community we need 2 years to fix STO pleas bear with us till we make new game engine
and yes we might have charge for it too lol at lest that would be step in right direction
I really don't see that happening..

2. Add new open space PVP zones with no PVE elements that people can also que up for, 50 vs 50 or 100 vs 100 battles would be great
3. New game modes, sandbox game mode to spawn NPC ships of various difficulties to create your own battles and fight against them yourselves, would be a great testing ground to see how many elite difficulty ships you can go up against
4. Option to voice over content with Forge created missions so people who create the missions can do voice overs themselves, voice overs with texts makes the game far more immersive, sitting there to read it is boring.
5. Cardassia Prime? Betazed? There are many major star trek races and we can't even visit their home worlds.
mneme0 suggestions
1. New places and more missions, not new mechanics, lockboxes and new ships and new stuff to grind for.
P.S. LOL 50 v 50 PVP good luck with it... NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE DO PVP PERIOD FOR THIS OR EVER WILL.
MY moneys on NEW STAR FLEET COMMAND ONLINE GAME
I can still throw ideals out
1. PvP will never be fixed as long as there are people willing to cry out over nerfs. Even if they balanced things out there, it wouldn't guarantee everyone would play PvP.
2. Cryptic will never make a new game engine for STO. They have stated in the past that developing a new game engine and converting a game over to it is about as much work as making a new game from scratch. Yes, the engine is dated, but it's what we will have likely until the game's end.
I'm sorry...but you want actual real facts from the PvP crowd these days?
It'd make for better reading. And hey, if they started considering fact, consequence, and context they might see the problems inherent in their own arguments. But if not, then the bar for a reasonable discussion is laid out for everyone to consider (regardless of how far away some may drift.)

PVP is essential for a MMO to grow, if they wanna attract new people then they need to improve the PVP.
Can anyone confirm this statement?
For some real GOOD MMOs PvP needs to be more robust and incentivize it. If they keep on ignoring it...it will remain stagnant and ANY growth is good growth for any MMO.
What's the fuzz about copy paste builds from other players and measuring the highest stick from a DPS built vs PvE. What is the satisfaction of just killing off unthinking and unwise NPCs even in Elite mode as in PvE queues? Just a bunch of pixels dissapearing to oblivion? To me this looks like just solo play as in PC games and why would I need an MMO for that when I can just shoot and play anything nonthinking in any PC game?
However, if you battle a thinking human player that is something else. PvP offers more than just a click here and there or pew pew pew. It is more rewarding defeating a thinking Human players than an NPC. This is a real test of your build, skills and specially TEAM play as in MMOs. It is quite challenge but to each its own.
The OP perhaps was a bit biased in favor of PvP. However, I can see his point better some growth than none at all. MMOs like SWTOR do offer some solid PvP or limited in WoW. Perhaps should I mention EVE?
I know there are lots of people who hate PvPs. However, if one is open minded about it, there is always room for diversity to accommodating different playstyles. If STO accommodates RP shouldn't they also accommodate PvP?
That ship has long sailed and PvP remains of a shadow of what it used to be in here.
A large part of why STO is the way it is is because most of Cryptic's staff are DS9 fans. And DS9 was basically Star Trek: Wars.
That, and while watching people stand around and talk about basic moral and ethical principles for 45 minutes can make for good TV, it can make for some pretty boring gameplay.
Exactly...Besides how do you fit in a Moral story for every player...Klingons would answer Different than Romulans, who would answer different from Feds...who would answer Different from ToS Feds...(Not to Mention all the Species in each faction...an Adorians response would be different from a Tellarite...whos would be different from a Vulcan...who would be different from a human)
Lets not even get into exploration....Klingons dont peacefully integrate Planets, they conquer...Romulans Lie, sabotage, and assassinate (At least REAL Romulans did...until this happy happy joy joy version of Romulans)..Feds try to help a planet integrate, but again each Captains species would color their outlook...
Its impossible to do that justice...and the cookie cutter stuff is just boring.
Example: The Iconian Story, where you Travel back in time and Sela tries to kill all the Iconians...I agreed with her. My Kligon would have done it...My Romulan would DEFINITELY Done it...A Fed captain would have thought about it (Needs of the many, how many billions would have been saved?)...and As I Play my Feds as Mirror, I would have done it and kept the computer core (Tantalus Field anyone)....
I don't get the hate boner for PvP. I understand players not wanting more emphasis put on it, but a lot of decisions that people don't like are blamed on PvPers as if they were some sort of scapegoat boogeymen.
Anyway, what this game needs desperately right now is bug fixes. It needs a lot of bug fixes. Like, bugs that have been in the game for years need to finally be fixed. This needs to come above all else.
Other than that? Besides some changes to make space combat more legitimately challenging, ground combat could do with some attention. Animation errors, for one. Bridge Officers should have basic AI improved (their complete inability to use melee weapons, for example) and the whole affair could do with more of a feeling of weight to your actions.
While ground combat is hardly this game's strong suit, the fact of the matter is that it IS in the game and they DO continue to release missions with ground combat as a heavy component. So, it should at least be given a modicum of attention.
Oh, also, I don't think there's a single cutscene in the game that works right.

Keep posting OP
A Troll is protector don't kid your self....
well as I was invalid in 2006~2008 work On STO when Atari was in drivers set this was not the vision we had for STO
I'm tried of seeing 1 TAC 1 SCI 1 ENG in 3 ship release let focus on 1 class of ship and have 3 variant of that class.
and speaking of Klingon or any race that has cloak or battle cloak needs have the Cloaks disabled when ships hall goes down to,lets say 50% it kind of brakes the game when see a ship Cloak with 1% hall left u know ship Broken LOL

So,
What's so good about PVP?

stay on subject
They almost tried once but the tac players whined and they reverted a lot of nerfs. This game is about dps, trinity is dead yet obviously there is large differences in performance between the 3 classes.
Actual balance things that are OP instead of just nerfing them to hell...so the time and resources people wasted aren't just thrown away.
Couple things off the top of my head.
If you wish to engage in discussion on an English-language forum, I would recommend you either have your posts rewritten by someone fluent in English, or speak more plainly so that your meaning can be derived despite your lack of facility in the language.
Now you calling me Stupid cause you don't like my ideas and maybe my English is not good.
only got in conversation cause OP was get ganging up on, so I post. NO ideas are bad..
STO Needs To Become A Better Game that what we are trying discuses what changes need to be mad if don't like the post or don't have something nice to carry on the conversation then don't post
we all injoy STO in some way...
LOL TRIBBLE BDSM Feds, Disco lights when ship jumps WTF is with the spinning sh@t going into jump, LSD trip mindmelds, oh dont forget mushrooms power the ship... KT looks good next to TRIBBLE.
