I have a T6 temporal light cruiser. Those RD boxes were expensive and I don’t appreciate you beggars conspiring to lower its value by making it a rinky dink c store ship.
I would put a variant of the T6 Connie for sale in the Arc Store; call it the "Arc Variant". It is exactly the same as the Promo version, but it will be account unlocked and it will cost $750. List it as a limited time sale for 7 days, then remove from the Arc Store for at least 2 years.

This would be fine IMO
So many of these complain troll threads are just people who want the best stuff to be free or think its too hard to get.
They pretend not to understand that this devalues it.
Imagine if you went to medical school and got a medical degree after so many years of hard work, and then you discovered that some people want the same medical degree just for taking a 1-week night class.
If they also got the same degree as you it would be devastating.
Talk about a completely idiotic analogy.

No!
Please tell me what makes his 30$ any less important then some one who spends $300+ gambling on a virtual doll. Seriously I see no reason why a T6 or whatever basic Connie like cruiser couldn't exist. Sure I doubt they would add the TOS skin to said c-store ship or would it be a temporal ship. But I could see a lt.com miracle worker variant. It would not devalue your prize.
It’s now doll. It shreds every single thing that gets in front of it into little pieces. And if it can’t shred them on the first pass it pops a corbamite maneauver and they run away tails tucked. And don’t forget about the other factions’ versions. The T’Liss does all of that WITH enhanced battle cloak and singularity powers.
Actually wouldn't surprise me if a T6 C-Store connie shows up sooner than people think, especially with the "Miracle Worker" spec out and all.
I mean its not like its unprecedented that there are Promotional and C-Store versions of the same ship with different specializations.
The current T6 connie isn't technically a true constitution class to begin with, its a Temporal Light Cruiser that looks like a constitution.
This is pretty much my take on it as well. This isn't a matter of IF. It's a matter of WHEN.

Can someone explain what this gibberish is supposed to mean?
AS I SAID BEFORE AND WAS IGNORED AND OUTIRGHT (expletive omitted) ON...
They can't call it a Constitution Class because CBS said that they will lose their contract and possibly a real world life over an end game Connie. This is a CBS problem and not about the licensed game from here. Take it up with them.
LITERALLY, NOTHING CAN BE DONE IN THE GAME WITHOUT APPROVAL FROM CBS.
There is no magic bullet here. There is nothing you can say or to to Arc/Cryptic/etc that can get them to change their minds. It is simply because they cannot change them due to CBS stating this is not going to be a part of the license contract.
In order to change the contract to get a T6 Connie, every single party in the contract has to agree on this change. This is regardless of your feelings. This is regardless of how many forum temper tantrums you may throw over it.

Why just the T6 Connie? Account unlocks for lockboxes and account reputations are a few of the things in SWTOR that I wish were in STO.
I've been a lifetime member since the beginning, and I've purchased pretty much every C-Store ship, and even played the lock box game to win ships, much to my dismay, it turned out to be a waste, especially with the possible T6 Connie, but still I've tried. Does anyone think Cryptic will ever release the T6 Connie as a purchasable ship? Everyone knows that the lock boxes are their bread and butter, but many people would buy this ship. I just don't see why people that did win the ship would put it on the exchange for over a billion EC, why can't we just buy it. It's more feasible to pay 30 to 50 dollars for it, than it is to try to get over a billion ec.
Ask yourself these questions.
Question 1: Will there ever be a C-Store T6 Keldon?
Answer 1: Obviously no.
Question 2: Will there ever be a C-Store T6 Jem'Hadar Bugship?
Answer 2: Obviously no.
Question: 3: Will there ever be a C-Store T6 Son'a Battleship?
Answer 3: Obviously no.
Why would a promo pack ship T6 Constitution be any different?
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
This was discussed when the promo-pack T6 Connie happened. CBS basically said (at the time), "Okay, fine, we'll let you do it - provided that you make it very rare." Apparently they felt the brand might be diluted or something if everybody with thirty bucks had an old-school Connie for endgame.
Trust me, the accountant(s) (not sure they can afford more than one) at Cryptic would love to sell us that ship. They could probably get some fans to fork over fifty bucks or so! And if you think a company, any company, will willingly ignore a potential revenue stream - well, all I can say is, you must not have risen very high in whatever corporation you've worked for.
CBS just doesn't understand gaming, people should be able to purchase what they want in a game, no one should be told what they should or shouldn't be allowed to buy.
End Game Constitution Class ship
The answer to the T5 connie ship has been a no for 4 years and that answer comes from CBS. Due to recent changes, the end game kelvin version of the constitution class has come about and as such, discussions can continue about it.
What about the Exeter class, can't they make a T6 version of that and redesign it so it looks a bit less like the Constitution while also disabling the ability to use the T1 Constitution and T2 Exeter skins?

I wouldn't say designing it is the problem. Cryptic probably has several. It's that CBS keeps saying no to allowing it in game. If and/or when CBS gives a yes to it. We'll probably see it not long after.
The CBS CEO and Board had many a contentious meetings discussing the allowance of an endgame Constitution. Many Board members and Executives resigned over this. It almost cost the dissolution of CBS.

Don't you know that FACTS have no place in this thread? It's all about the FEELS. If we all FEEL hard enough, it will happen!
The previous three sentences in my response are facetious. Look it up if you don't know what facetious means. This thread devolved from second one into one of those times where the Tseric meltdown speech is quite appropiate for the thread.

Look, CBS doesn’t want a ton of players flying around in Kirk’s ship hundreds of years after Kirk flew it. Sure, Cryptic got around it by making it temporal in the RD promo, but you can see that Connies are few and far between when playing the game. From an outsiders perspective throwing all of these ships from different eras into one time period just doesn’t make sense. You can see through the Connie, J-Class, NX class all being in the same time that time travel is a lazy plot device, and it is the only way any of this works. I mean, there are too many temporal ships and ships from the future being flown for the technology not to end up being used to contaminate our time line moving forward. The future, thanks to capitalism in the past (our present), has been unwritten.
Roddenberry didnt like it, and he sure as heck wouldn’t have wanted his precious Connie being kit bashed. The iconic ship, his legacy, and the legacy of all those artists and writers from the 1960s, bastardized and distorted until there’s nothing left of the original but royalties.
This is why my Connie looks as though it has been assimilated by a joint Borg-Lukari task force.
It's dumb how CBS are all pent up about people flying a ship in a mere game for crying out loud. It's not like they are upset about people buying toys and models of the actual Constitution nor other Star Trek games including it.
The Constitution is in no way a ship I am actually interested in acquiring but that doesn't mean that I don't support the idea of allowing players to have whatever ship they like, if it were up to me I'd allow it as I see no real good reason why not.
Roddenberry didnt like it, and he sure as heck wouldn’t have wanted his precious Connie being kit bashed.
The Constitution-class was designed by Matt Jeffries. All Roddenberry did was picking the concept he liked the most and he initially wanted the ship flipped over because he thought it would look more awsome that way.
That being said the no to a C-store-Connie is based on profit.
CBS couldn't care less if one or one hundred players fly around in a virtual ship in a virtual continuation of the ST-universe. Seriously. Do you guys all think they're that silly?
CBS definately get a share for sold promo-packs. The huge crowd of hardcore-fans invest a lot of money to either gamble on the boxes or to convert into ingame-currencies.
The profit of that over time is a lot higher than a huge wave of one-time-spent 30 bucks per account. Hence, they say 'no' to a C-store-variant. They're running a business. Brand-recognition is their best source of income. The TOS-promo-ships are the personified brand-recognition.
So, why make the Constitution a promo pack? Maximize profit would be my guess. If they made a c-store version, fewer players would buy the promo packs. Gambling seems to be highly profitable for STO and fewer people would gamble if the ship was in the c-store.

We kinda have that already, as the R&D-promo T6-Connie can just use all the visual parts available to the T2 cruisers.
Yes....but he would prefer one not having sacrifice a kidney to get. <_<
