Not skill, but patience. The first week or so the Kelvin Connie went for like 700 million EC, and it dropped fairly quickly in price because almost everybody opened the lockbox with a fed-toon.

I was lucky enough to get three KTLB-jackpots (two on fed toons one on KDF) on day one and sold one of the Connies. The only one of the three ships that didn't drop in price much is the romulan one.

Those who claimed earlier just get a Kelvin Connie for free from the exchange with a little skill... Sure it's possible. Yet unless your willing to buy 250+ lockbox key's open them and sell the items your chances of raising the half a billion or more energy credit's takes considerable time 40 items at a time.
Kelvin Connies are around 300m EC, it doesn't take much skill to make 300m EC. The part about willingness to eat 250+ keys makes no sense to me, it'd be a little silly to eat 250+ keys (worth 1200m+ EC) in order to sell 500m EC worth of lockbox items to buy a ship worth 300m. Seems like it'd be more beneficial to simply sell the keys for 1200m EC, buy the ship, and walk away with 900m EC in your space pocket.

    What is a "KTLB-jackpot"?

When people are asking even remotely close to a billion energy credit for any T6 Ship I think it's rather insane so I let them keep it; but as long as there are people out there willing to pay such a high price they'll ask for it.

Still if something is offered in the lockbox you'll likely never see it available in the CSTORE.

Given the popularity of the Constitution from the Kelvin timeline they likely considered it - but given they resisted a T5 Connie for year's the fact we even saw a T6 Kelvin Connie was a miracle. Still claiming technology advanced 150 year's almost overnight (cause in the prime timeline federation scientists and engineers just eat tacos and play dabo all day) - although I suspect they'd claim given it's a temporal cruiser it likely has more recent technology. The Kelvin Connie is more a temporal ship made to look like the Constitution from that timeline that it actually is the ship itself. ;)

Thankfully while there is the appeal for the Kelvin Connie... Surely there are still many very highly capable CSTORE ships or Fleet variations that work just as well.

    Exactly. Anytime I see someone selling a T6 TOS ship pack for a billion, I say, "keep it!". I'm not gonna give Mr./Miss. Comic Book Guy that satisfaction. I say to them where they can stick that pack......one corner at a time. >_>;;

Examples of other ships that work well, from my own experiences, mind you (your own mileage may vary, of course):

    Temporal Battle Cruiser
Temporal Science Ship (BEST science ship, in my opinion)
    NX Refit
    Fleet T6 Excelsior
T6 Dreadnought and its fleet counterpart
T6 Advanced Light Cruiser and its fleet counterpart*
    T6 D'Deridex
The 3 Temoral ships from 31st century

These are the ones I personally used with no problem.

*=Includes the Klingon and Romulan editions.

The T6 Kelvin Constitution, or "Konnie" as I like to call it, it not bad at all, handles well (not big on its appearance, though...still waiting for it appear with flame decos, a loud as hell woofer, and bouncing hydraulics like a car I once said when visiting a close friend in Spanish Harlem a few years ago)

And as for the technology thing with the Konnie....remember the Kelvin Timeline got a mega boost in technology for the Federation (possibly the Klingons as well) when that smeghead, Nero showed up, and made Federation tech on par with the 25th century prime time......

    ........Prime Directive my butt. :D

I don’t know why you are blaming the Kelvin timeline on Nero when it was that inept Spock who failed to save Romulus.

Because rather than doing the sensible thing.....going to Romulus and giving them three centuries to evacuate the system, he put a jihad on the Federaton by trying to wipe out the home worlds of the Founding Species. Though really the blame is all on JJ "lens flare" Abrams for creating such an insipid plot to begin with

Yeah, I've always wonder how movies with horrible plots get past anyone with a brain. It's not like only 1 person gave the 'ok' to it, many people saw the script and didn't say anything. Is it just alot of 'TRIBBLE it, as long as I get paid' mentality?

You mean the Vulcan Academy who flat out refused to help out Spock, thus delaying so much time that by then it was too late for Romulus?

Which one (this is why the wiki starts with ship class for that specific ship:P)?
    23C..26C. 29C.. or 31C Temporal Science Ship :P

The nautilus was pretty much the only one of the temporal ships which even interested me, but it was mostly because of the design. I don't so much like the Daedalus design however as it looks like a ball awkwardly attacked to a bottle with nacelle's, I feel that the Research Science Vessel made the design in a more appealing way.
