I've been a lifetime member since the beginning, and I've purchased pretty much every C-Store ship, and even played the lock box game to win ships, much to my dismay, it turned out to be a waste, especially with the possible T6 Connie, but still I've tried. Does anyone think Cryptic will ever release the T6 Connie as a purchasable ship? Everyone knows that the lock boxes are their bread and butter, but many people would buy this ship. I just don't see why people that did win the ship would put it on the exchange for over a billion EC, why can't we just buy it. It's more feasible to pay 30 to 50 dollars for it, than it is to try to get over a billion ec.

The moment you realize that virtually all currencies in game are inter-exchangeable you can play and/or pay for all the things you want to have just like it would be zen store.
I got my TOS Connie that way and I’m sure you can do it too. There is not much more satisfying than to finally get an item that took some effort to acquire.

Nore in Star Trek as such.

No, no, no. This only works if there is one in the exchange. Bad advice this. If you win one, you win one, but don't spend $200 lining another player's pocket! If you haven't won one with $40 worth of keys/boxes, just put it down to bad luck. I was lucky enough to win 2 Kevlin Connies in 70 boxes and 1 Connie in 13 R&D Boxes.
To what end? To be able to put the skin of the TOS Connie onto the 26c Universe Class?!

I'm not the sort of person who *has* to have one because....ToS Connie.
I fly whatever ships I can get my hands on without a lot of cash flow.
The question of the connie is, and has always been, following a decision that stems right on back to TNG season 1. IE. no constitution class following the TOS movies. RNG boxes (such as the promo packs, phoenix boxes, and lock boxes) are a compromise. We get some of these ships in the game but the odds are controlled to a point that satisfied the IP's rules and interests. IE. these ships are kept out of general (ie. C-store) circulation.
That might suck for those who don't want to put in the time necessary to earn the resources to buy a special ship outright (it's a lot), but it's a necessary step to get these ships in the game. Not everything follows the same limitations though, so while you may not be able to have your character kicking their feet up on a T6 constitution class, a T6 Excelsior or Miranda from the same era (and providing the same narrative function) is much more doable.
Not ideal, but hey what is? Best approach to life is to make of it what you can.
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
I mean its not like its unprecedented that there are Promotional and C-Store versions of the same ship with different specializations.
The current T6 connie isn't technically a true constitution class to begin with, its a Temporal Light Cruiser that looks like a constitution.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
'Starting with Shipment 10, each pack opened increases the chance of receiving a platinum item.'
So with their prolific set of 'Lockboxes' (Cartel Packs) they are now going to increase the chance of getting a very rare item per each pack opened. Interesting concept.
l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
Obviously people haven't learned a thing. :P
End Game Constitution Class ship
The answer to the T5 connie ship has been a no for 4 years and that answer comes from CBS. Due to recent changes, the end game kelvin version of the constitution class has come about and as such, discussions can continue about it.

This was before the T6 TOS came out and should be re-instituted as an FCT!
