    Got booted while changing toons, now the red dot of doom on the launcher.

    I was doing my daily dilithium refinement between 16 toons, I was done with the 14th toon when suddenly my game became non-responsive and dropped to the menu. I really hope it goes back on soon so I can still do the refinement with these last two toons today.

    I was disconnected and couldn't log back on using the client. I rebooted my cable modem, router, and computer. Now, my login attempts are failing at the launcher. The error message I receive is "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out".
    Waiting for a programmer ...

    The green light briefly was on again but still wouldn't authenticate my user details and the light went back to red again.

    Yes.

    If you think this is bad just wait until after tomorrow's patch. All queues will be replaced with mini-games. This will cause the server to become overloaded due to their popularity.

    I hope the hardware didn't fail. My guess is someone turned off the power, and now they have to reboot.

    The event ended at 11 AM, long over by now.
    I thought it was supposed to end during the 3rd in American time, and my country reaches the 3rd before Americans, so I figured it was still on.

    Champions launcher says it's down too.

    I was AFK too long, so I exited the STO log-in screen to reclick the launcher. When I exited, it looked like it was going to advanced download for the upcoming Season. But it paused.

    The download may have been accidental on their end, and maybe they had stopped the servers to take a look at it?

    was online then went to switch toons... nope. guess log in is down. if your online you can stay but if you log off or try to switch toons... bye bye.

    Perhaps Las Vegas caused it ?
