That definitely sounds like a fun & entertaining time! I hope I can make it to view or at least watch some of a recording of it afterwards. All have fun!

But a science ship in any other game but STO is weak like the Pasteur and doesn't come with Space Magic.

You'd be better off in a cruiser, that's what we use in IP correct Star Trek games.

Oh well, house rules and all that.

    Have fun that's what counts.

I honestly do not understand why anyone would want to watch this. Watching golf, or curling on TV would be more fun.

Seriously??!! We can watch the DEVs playing a star trek RPG?? yeah.. with all respect i'll skip that part cause the DEVs should play STAR TREK ONLINE first, the very game they develop cause its full of bugs and flaws starting with DYSON PROTON CONSOLES,PLACATE DOFF. and maybe do something with the laging cannon fire since sometimes the dual heavy cannons fire faster than the single cannons and more and more and more.

sounds like Traveller crossed with star trek. i am interested, sounds like D+D , gamma wars, traveller meets Star Trek. Rule books and a gamemasters guide would be nice. I still have several notebooks full of traveller stuff. Scenarios and rulebooks and expansions. something I might try with my friends. thanks

That sound like fun. I find it realy cool that you guys give us the possibility to tag along on your adventure :)
It will most likely be in the mid of the night here in Europe but I think I will be with you anyway.

I'd prefer to watch the devs fix the many, many bugs of sto myself than some pen and paper game.

I'm guessing you'd have to be about my age to appreciate that MMOs would not exist if it hadn't been for table-top RPGs like TSR's Dungeons & Dragons and FASA's Star Trek and Doctor Who, West End's Star Wars and many others.

Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.

maybe the devs should try Arena of Sompek with the general population and see how they enjoy it... over 14 days to grind out the reward.

So, when do we get to see a bunch of the devs actually play the bug infested excuse called Star Trek online during a livestream WITHOUT Dev auto kill powers? Oh, that's right.......They don't seem to care for playing the game THEY WORKED ON.

If I am wrong, they can prove me wrong then.

I know many other MMOs that the devs of them aren't afraid of playing their own game with the bugs and all without dev autokill abilities. Especially one of them where the devs actually play with RANDOM players IN THE GAME.

Give them a break. As if any of you guys does in his free time what he does at work. If you have looked at the time you can see its most likely there free time they are chairing. Does any of you guys shears his free time with his clients? No? So stop your attitued and be happy about that they let use ride along.

That right there shows that people who treat a career like game development is a job. A job is something you go to so you can punch a clock do some work, get paid and leave. A Career is something you want to enjoy doing. Getting paid is just icing on the cake. If the devs feel like they are just punching a clock to get paid, then maybe they need to find a real career.

Being a game developer is more than a job. You HAVE to enjoy playing your own game. You HAVE to enjoy doing the work.

Making a livestream of the devs playing a table top game when their own MMO is hurting isn't the best thing for the devs to do.

Sooo, PST? That makes it 3hrs behind me instead of the normal 2hrs for PDT. So 830pm my (CDT) time.

Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

Assume that your friendly Ambassador has no idea whether the current time zone is PDT or PST, and is just used to writing PST.

    Yeah, that's why I set my phone's alarm for 7:30 AND 8:30pm. ;)

What is this concept? Devs who don't work bugs and detailed game development for 24 hours-Seven Day Per Week? I mean, how dare they have social time or become friends?!? Trying other Star Trek games and returning refreshed to work on their own game during business hours?

It's simply a travesty of interstellar proportions. The Holodeck server as we know is DOOMED! :open_mouth:

Yes, Tabletop RP is rarely smooth as glass. But it is entertaining to me. YMMV.
