This is known as cross-marketing. For both products, the pen-and-paper RPG with STO. If I was a twitch user or a facebook user, I would have watched it. I'm interested in the good old-fashioned RPGs, so I would have liked to see how this one works.
As for the guy who's upset with 'non-canonical' Science vessels.... You can skip using the Science vessels, if they aren't researchy enough for you. Voyager, a long-range science vessel, was more than capable. Oh, sorry, that wasn't canon. I forgot.
A lot has changed in the thirty years from Star Trek: Nemesis to the start of STO, in which time they improved the ships of the line, including science vessels, new and older models.
I would be more interested in knowing if 25th Century ships and equipment is available in desk-top game.
it was fairly amusing, my favorite parts were, the killing of two the bots by smashing them togather, the mere fact that there was a character thing for dealing with the crazy supercomputers, and the janitor bot.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

That a Klingon got out-fought by a janitorbot... there needs to be a ritual suicide in the near future.
And next time, try to look a bit less like the people stuck in the waiting room of the DMV.
And there were at least 2 time the GM tried (hint at) to get the crew to fight something and they completely missed/ignored it to ponder the meaning of life more.

Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.
Back when I was your age, I had to walk up hill both ways in a blizzard (not the MMO) with heavy book bag and trudge miles fighting bullies and jocks (sometimes the same) along the way to run a PnP game at my cousin's house. AND I WAS GRATEFUL!
I had to walk 22 miles from my friend's house to mine while I was living in GTA (Greater Toronto Area, not the video game) because the subway line closed at 1AM and I was short of enough change to take a bus. I had my gymbag full of 2nd Ed. D&D books and dice. By the time I got home, I had enough time to take a nap, and get ready to take a bus to college.

Good times! I reckon.
pshaw, I say! That's nothing. We had to carve our own polyhedron dice from the bones of the sabertooths we killed. Because the sabertooths threatened the lives of players who wandered too far outside the cave mouth in an effort to act out their character better.
Further the only way for me to get my hands on a copy of the 2nd Edition AD&D DMG was to row a canoe by hand up the Mississippi River all the way to Lake Geneva, WI. while fighting off giant catfish trying to eat me the entire time.
Still, was a lot of fun to play. Along with Traveller. Which I started playing in my early twenties. Started some lifelong friendships over cheap pizza, cheaper beer, and lots of dice on a Saturday afternoon.
BTW, my copy of Deities and Demigods has all the Michael Moorcock stuff in it. Thinking about naming one of my ships Arioch and my Rommie Engineer has a ship named Stormbringer. And now you all get to be jealous in five, four, three...lol. XD
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
Devs don't do bug fixing, thats an entirely different department.
If Devs do not the Bug-Fixes.. who does ?
Communitymanager ?
Forum-Moderator ?
The Players ?
WHO ?

*sigh* I miss the time when I had the err... time for P&P RPGs. And when I had "the gang" to play them with. Looks like a great box. 15y ago I'd totally had bought it.
