I find this somewhat helpful I need a new mouse and headphones the headphones I already have are slowly dying and almost broken. I can't really afford a new pair even if they cost me $20 bucks what money my family and I do get from dad's job it has to go to food and bills and what's left has to go gas for the car so I find this helpful somewhat though I do have a question how much space does it need to work and does it have any computer viruses?.

    No thanks.

I used Raptr for a good few years for various games and then they dropped rewards because there was never any support to offer rewards from companies.
So that wasted months of points.

Did you get the T6 Defiant at least? One of the best rewards I ever got from Raptr.

When did raptor ever offer that? All I ever got from Raptor was stupid tribble and I signed up the first day it was linked to STO.

Personally - no way, thank you very much!
I have enough things installed on my PC, no way i add some other MMO manager, that will take memory/CPU resources.
My PC is old enough, i need maximise it's performance to actually play the game...

Look into System Mechanic easy to tweak your system with it and has several configuration options from max performence ideal for games to optimized for browzing. Also has a memory defrag thing that frees up memory and another thing that optimizes you internet connections.

Lol, 1222 hours to get a keyboard, even if you leave your computer on 24/7 it would take 50 days to get it and you'll probably spend more in electricity than buying the keyboard directly.

Yeah, the math is very easy and leads to 'no thanks'. Let them snoop on everything you do for fractions of a penny per hour.

Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

Would be nice if the amount of time we players have already spent playing STO could be applied right away....

Nice try, but you lost me at "you can download the program...".

Right there with you. Oh a program to monitor my playtime, love too see what other information gathering they have wrapped in. Maybe if I could run this and STO on Linux using a virtual machine.

It is bad enough that Arc continues to run taking up resources on my system. I don't need yet another thing running in the background or a program that tries to sell me things that i am not interested in. That software is a memory hog and adware. I'll just continue to do the Arc missions for my rewards which I have collected on several times now.

    No Thanks!

You don't need the arc client to play STO. I had way too many problems with it (couldn't press certain keys, even just tying in text input areas) and a fleet member told me i could just launch the game from the executable file. I've made a shortcut in my Start menu to launch the game without having to have arc running.

You don't even need System Mechanic if you have windows 10 then game mode does the same optimizing making Razer nothing but bloatware. Razer only says optimizing to try and trick you to install some software that monitors what you do.

... if I did my math right, I would have to some how keep my game client running non-stop for 51 days to get the chroma keyboard (220,000 zSilver) ... if I ever decide I want one, I'll just open my wallet. IMHO this promo is a waste of time for everyone involved.

But considering the price of the chroma keyboard, Not everyone can afford a nice keyboard. Some people can only afford hand me downs. $120 on a keyboard can buy a person tons of Ramen noodles. I don't mind playing games that I like to get rewards, So long as they don't kill the program when a person is only half way to the reward they want. I could always use a new keyboard and mouse that are about $200 together.

And if you think it's a waste of time, then don't participate, but DON'T SPEAK FOR OTHER PEOPLE. you don't know what they might like.

Plus, did your math also include their daily log in rewards of up to 900 a day? That by itself can bring the 51 days down by alot. There is always more than one way to skin a tribble.
A nice keyboard that lights up costs sub $10 if you shop around and the cost of electricity to run the game long enough to earn a free keyboard is more then the cost to just buy a decent one. Its not just that its a waste of time it records what you do on your system, create a security risk and doesn't optimize the system any different from what windows game mode already does. We are not speaking for other people and telling them what to do, we are warning its not as good as it sounds.

Sorry I am NOT interested in what I call ad-ware/spy-ware.

PS: due to these sneaky tacktics I will never spend money on Razer products. Because in these things I always give the oposite what they want to achieve.

You type as if the electricity is only going to be used to run the game long enough to earn a free keyboard, that the free keyboard is the only reason you're playing and you wouldn't be playing otherwise.

I read about this the other day when I spied it in my game launcher. Not really interested, and seeing some of the 'prices', I'm glad I decided not to worry with it.
Now a LTS and loving it.

Tried it, and it sucks. I immediately uninstalled it, and will never, EVER put that junk on my computer again. All it did was TRIBBLE up my mouse and controls in game. Razer is a complete fraud.

I have a Razer Deathadder and a Razer Kraken 7.1 and use Synapse. There is no problem with that. Never had and don't need Cortex. Get your facts straight, this Cortex in no way invalidates their hardware or Synapse. If you don't want to use Cortex, don't use Cortex but don't make hysterical claims about the hardware on that basis.

By the way I looked at the points needed and to get stuff and decided it was way way too high.

I installed STO from Steam, but I launch the executable directly. ARC is installed but is only fired up for free stuff (new Character and Khan Outfit, etc.)

first, razer products are TRIBBLE. I've yet to have a single razor device last longer then 6 months. and maybe their CS has improved. but Logitech was on the ball when the first time anything of theirs broke. i have mouse that is over 10yrs old and still being used by one of my kids.
two, I'm not spending the next 2 months logged in 24/7 just to earn a crappy mug holder.
Third, i don't need them data mining my computer..

But, Arc thank you for thinking of your customers, we do appreciate it. carry on with your bad selves! =)

Unless I have my maths wrong it will take years of playing 2 hours a day every day to earn a decent free gift. Unless you play 10+ hours a day every day the only other way to get a decent gift in a reasonable amount of time is to be logged in using electricity up when you are not active but the cost of doing that is higher then what the gift is worth. Its just a con to record your computer activity and then sell your details on.

My reaction to this new "client" can be summed up in three words; Do Not Want.

At least Raptr had some nice rewards in its time. I obtained plenty of nice STO stuff and I actually won one of their game giveaways. Given what Razer is offering, I see no reason to bog my system down with more ad clients.

tbh, I don't need ANY system configurator bs. I'm running for my MCSE atm and never ever would use such software that unneccessary eats up systemtime for nothing.

Secondly Razor is dead to me. After 2 Copperheads and 2 Nagas I'm done with that low quality TRIBBLE. A gamer mouse worth 120€ that does the "doubleclick" after only a couple of month (for the Nagas I have, but that doubleclick bs is on ALL of my Razor mice). No, thank you.

From the features I really miss my Nagas, but that low qualtiy manufacturing just isn't worth it

Well, this went no where quick fast and in a hurry. I'm gonna chain my 'puter to an adware app which allows me to "earn" a coffee mug in just 2.5 years of constant 24/7 playing of STO?

"But waitaminnit, Thunder! You don't understand! It's a Razer coffee mug! That's means your coffee will be better than the coffee of the other gamers! See?"

Whatever Marketing genius came up with this idea needs to give his degree back to whatever hackneyed college he purchased it from. Further, HR at PWE needs to reassign him to Gorundskeeping duties ASAP.

Meh - i don't need anything Razer (or Razr, or Razor, or... whatever).
My Steelseries Shift Keyboard and Cyborg RAT 7 Mouse are working already for around 5 years
(...well they need some serious cleaning, but they work still nice and sound).

I got once a promo code from Razer Insider for Romulan Scorpion Fighter by my friend (he doesn't play STO, so he gifted it to me),
    but after that... nothing more.
