The final War Games Queue is a race to solve puzzles in a holographic starbase, while never directly engaging the other team.

Puzzle solving skills "under duress" aren't exactly my thing either, but after a few tries it becomes more memorizing than skill.
So that makes 2 of these queues I'm at least willing to try before I write them off as junk. And those 2 (this and Binary Circuit) actually look like they may be fun.

My forum single-issue of rage: Make the Proton Experimental Weapon go for subsystem targetting!
They're trying to appeal to MORE than just the PvP community.
That part there had me rolling, I have no idea how the any PvP Queue has been "successful" at all... But okay whatever they say (Delta Rising is the best expansion ever, and players love it!). I like how they call this (meh)"PvP" yet there is no actual fighting other players. But it is obvious why these PvP queues can not have interaction with other enemy players, PvP is so broken/unbalanced/far off that if they make this actual PvP battles where you can attack other players - NO ONE AT ALL will play this non-sense.
This isn't PvP, this is bullslip ( you know what I mean)!
And speaking of Queues... We have like a zillion Queues in this game, and the only one that everyone does are the same standard ones being some of the Borg STFs, CC, Gates, Brotherhood and Fleet alerts. Rest of the Queues are pretty much non-existent, they rather just remove them all from the game. The more they add, the less people Queue for them, it's hilarious the amount of failure and time wasting.
I'll probably be able to stand it enough to get the resources to complete the new rep.
Funny that you say that, seeing as Sompek wasn't PvP... and more importantly, that bit is in-character and has no bearing on the out-of-universe performance of that queue.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

Or really, even if it's forced two teams and the other team gets second place for 6 is still 3x increase for most players.
I liked Core Assault until the "serious" PvP crowd starting vaping players instead of destroying the core. I don't mind one or 2 players from the other team coming over to defend, but when the entire team comes over and just kills us simply for gits and shiggles, making it drag on since one team clearly can't finish it and the second doesn't want too, well, that's not fun (for me).
I get it, there's a chance at PvP in there, "if you don't like it, don't play it".
Well, now that there is another way to get Competitive marks, that's what I'm doing, not playing it anymore.
Thanks for making this CPvE rep not as much a pain to complete as I initially thought it would be.

Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
When I've been on teams that have gotten the get/deliver charge mini game, sometimes it won't allow charges to be delivered. It seems that if somehow 2 team members have a charge at the same time, it bugs out. Which means you have to wait for the charge to dissipate which wastes a lot of time.

I am one of them.
Which is why Cryptic made CPVE missions, to give those players the option to avoid something they don't want to do in order to progress the Competitive Reputation.
So anyone who suggests that PVE players be forced to participate in PVP when they clearly don't want to is demonstrating disrespect for the choice made to stay out of gameplay that they dislike.
Honestly, I've seen this argument so many times, each time I see it again, I lose a little more tolerance for PVPers.
"We aren't getting enough PVP matches launching, so we have to annoy PVE only players to make PVP more active".
If PVP didn't build up a strong enough playerbase after all this time, then it's fairly clear it cannot be successful.
A metaphor, it's like going to the model train collectors convention and insisting everyone there play paintball instead.
And don't waste any time trying to convince me of the merits of PVP, someone has already tried for a month prior to this season launching.
And they failed.

Because it was the perfect testing ground for ground builds.
With a new wave of enemies every 2 minutes or so, I could get some very rapid tests of my build in sequence.
Or just to get in some ground combat fun in a controlled environment.
I even played it when it wasn't necessary to do so, that's how much I wanted to do it!
From my perspective, this is what I enjoy most about STO, working together as a team to achieve a goal while battling NPCS.
Please excuse the double post, there's a forum bug that deletes my comment if I try to edit it.
I don't try to edit posts now for that reason!

Only time I ever came in 1st was the one time I ran the Powerboard Race alone. And I still missed the finishline box thingy. Had to stop and go back to get the win.
Yeah, I have never had good hand-eye coordination. I just muscle through the game as best I can. Death is my constant companion.

Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
It's a thread where people are arguing about how much they hate PvP and how much of a "cesspool" it is, despite the thread being about a new queue that doesn't contain and direct player vs player. It's effectively a race, like the winter and summer event races but with NPCs.
You are more obsessed with PvP than any PvPer. You're embarrassing yourselves and it's hilarious... Please continue.
You would think that after 12 seasons of deadicated PvE content, a little PvP time would be respectfully welcomed by even the most ardent PvE'ers, but no. Just scorn and brattiness.
