Introduction: I am going to start a new thread each month that details the current active giveaways that are available for Star Trek Online, I will also put in here sales deals like for instance the Steam sales that crop up from time to time.

FYI: I won't post the current Cryptic giveaways and Promotions, just the other ones found on the interwebs.

    just for the record, raptr rewards will be shutting down in 2 days - so you might wanna tell people who haven't already gotten the NX and tabby to do so fast​​

    Yes this is pretty crappy. I have (like a fair few people i guess) 20K+ points and no use for them at all now. Waste of time using the program now, though it was useful for optimizing games i suppose.
    You can't even buy up a load of codes to give out to players either as they are limited to accounts.

    Got me the Mirror Danube - thanks.
    For info: the Mirror Danube (which is the Giveaway part) is normal Danube shuttle with different paint job...

    I will pass on the raffle part.
    For all interested - the Mirror Danube is Federation only (or Romulan allied to Fed) account unlock - (it stays in Promotion tab, but once dissmissed it can be claimed once again there)

    I had issues with the danube too, it won;t take ANY of my E-mails.. sheesh

    Though i saw once such info on Alienware Arena and they still give me key that time, so maybe it's just some weird error?

    It is also the same shuttle given out during the Pop Heros charity thing with Chase Masterson a while back. This gives me some hope for others getting the Mirror Guardian too. I got mine back then and think others should have a shot at it too.​​

    I think the mirror runabout giveaway doesn't work, as I tried it with a yahoo.com mail which seems to be blacklisted. I tried another one (outlook) and it worked - at least it said it sent a validation email. However, the email never reached me.

    I think since all those giveaways are basically the same that there are no keys for the runabout but you have to participate in the dread raffle for a chance to win both/either - the runabout seems to be a consolidation prize.​​

    While trying to troubleshoot the Runabout problem, I realized that I had won a code for the Faction pack for the PS4 giveaway some time ago and didn't realize they sent me a code vi am in site IM. Anyways if i cannot get my bleeping runabout I may be willing to trade my PS4 faction pack ( I was considering getting a PS4 a few months ago, but deiced not to ) for a shiny mirror runabout.

    I couldn't get yahoo or outlook to work, so I used my ISP's email, which did work. And got a key for the runabout.

    Also, two people on Alienware sent me their Orion keys. I used one, here's the other since he didn't want it back: YDhJs28X

    For info, F2P/Raffle claims my DynDNS email is invalid too. TRIBBLE them. They can keep their shuttles if they don't treat every email equal.

    If you have trouble geting that shuttle contest to accept your email, make sure you are typing in your email address, not just using the "auto fill" option. It refused mine too until I manually typed it in.

    In my case at least, the problem is that the script they use don't understand or accept an email address in the form of @subdomain.domain.tld. I've run into this problem in other places too. I don't know if they create these scripts themselves with an incomplete comprehension of the domain name system or if they use some commercial application for it, bought cheaply from somewhere (you get what you pay for). In either case, frustration and anger ultimately spills over on Cryptic even though they aren't primarily responsible but associating their products with these companies is enough from a customer perspective.

    EDIT: Just for laughs - here's an example of a perfectly valid and existing domain: 
    # dig +short a.b.c.d.e.f.g.h.i.j.k.l.m.n.o.p.q.r.s.t.u.v.w.x.y.z.org

    It looks like there are no longer keys available for the Orion boff. At least that's what I gathered from the comments on Alienware's site.

    Edit: or perhaps I don't have enough points, I don't know. I'm not seeing a 'get key' button anywhere. Oh well.

    Oh wait.. now I get it. You have to be level five on their website. I thought you needed to have a level 5 character in-game.

    Yeah, it isn't too hard but you have to keep at it for a few days and it took me about 30 minutes a day, ( that 30 minutes being switching to the alien ware site clicking on things while the STO loading screens were loading ) so not all that long actually.

    I consider it an investment for the next giveaway they do, i am planing on getting to at least level 10.
