Greed is the only answer i can come up with to explane what has happend to a game that i used to love to play. My main toon is over 330 days playing time my fleet is an alpha with all projects fully compleeted over 800 in our armada and the feeling i have now after just logging out is to uninstall and walk away. I am not going to go into actual details but the op hits and imunitys that can and are being exploited make whole ship biulds worthless. So you look at what just instavaped you with no time between redalert and warp core breech and in most cases you can adapt to it but ship loadouts still not working and only putting parts of your setup in. This is a big theft by the game because i payed for my extra loadouts. Now i did say in most cases you can adapt but being a tac and liking escourt ships makes the Temp cheese **** ships op to any setup i still enjoy flying and lack of defences for entropy has wiped out the last litle bit of enjoyment i got playing sto. Why would i stay and play if i am not having fun? Even if they fixed all my issues with the game i have seen some ugly behavure by a large number of players that can only be described as ganking trolls. The unchecked exploits over time created this problem and dev's can't script in a positive player atitude. Spawn camping, chat abuse and hitting loan ships in groups from cloak again and again all sighns of degrading behavure.
my first and prob last post.

Your problems with PVP builds (exploits? doubt that actually) is as old as the game itself and now you start to find them annoying?
I think you are simply burned out of the game itself...that can easily happen after a few years. I'd suggest you stay away from the game for a few weeks, and maybe come back when new content hits again. That's what I do for the most part.

Just kidding.
Yeah, if you're over it, walking away is all you can do. Maybe get yourself a cheeseburger or whatever splurge-food matches your particular dietary habits. There's no point in agonizing over something that's supposed to be fun--when it's no longer fun, stop doing it. Adios, OP. Enjoy whatever's next!
Maybe you should checkout Dreadnought which is currently in beta.
I don't PVP like I used to at all because PVP is not what it once was.
But I do partake occasionally, I'm just more selective about the opponent and scenario so I know (to the best of my knowledge), that we are well matched.
And that's not trolling new guys or anything, where's the fun in that? I choose my opponents because I think the match will be fun and well balanced. I probably lose more than I win but I do still win.
I have a friendly feud with a fleet member that has gone on for years.
Its great fun being mates and evolving together in the spirit of friendly competition, he changes something, beats me, I adapt, beat him etc...
There's another guy I scrap with occasionally from another channel, and if you're reading this, I will beat you one day haha!
It's your game, build your community around you as you like.
"If this will be our end, then I will have them make SUCH an end as to be worthy of rememberance! Out of torpedos you say?! Find me the ferengi!".
No one will notice you're gone dude, if you don't like the game, just stop playing.

An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"

Granted, bug reporting, acknowledgement and bug fixing is horrendous in this game. Many bugs take months, sometimes years to fix and often it takes several attempts. There is no list of confirmed bugs and hardly any feedback on bug reports by Cryptic employees (with very few exeptions). Even small indie games have more activity in their bug forums than STO.

Oh god...I tried it...seemed to be nothing but hiding behind structures and popping your head up like a whac-a-mole to fire your weapons.
