I was just wondering now since the Alliance has been established. Do you think the different factions in game will has access to areas of the game that were not accessible before. Examples would be KDF having access to ESD, Star Fleet Academy, and the Federation having access to the Romulan Flotilla and the Klingon homeworld. There is more, but not going to list them all. What do you guys think?

Enable cross-faction teaming, Armada forming, ship purchasing, DOFFing... there's little reason to keep all this separated and story-wise it would make sense to at least some degree too.
All factions would keep their unique storyline as those explain how we got where we are, but after that, where we are should be made more clear by removing all the restrictions.
"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

Hi shpoks, welcome in our universe. If you need assistance returning to your mirror one, please let me know
Edit: double post.. and in the wrong order too
Not that I disagree with the 'cesspool' and 'ESD' thing btw, that part is quite true.
I hope they implement it soon then. It would definitely be an improvement imo.

Although I wouldn't object if ships/hubs were opened, just my opinion is they shouldn't be.
As for ships, that should stay separate.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

^this....
frankly I honestly hope for a miraculous miracle and the alliance to die a painful death and we get to have 3 different perspectives for missions.... We can all tackle the same meta plot w/o all sounding like a sniveling fed moron.
Heeey. AoY characters don't snivel.

Low-level players would see only their own faction. Once they were part of the alliance then the KDF or feds would show up.
I said they should've given everyone the alliance perks (boffs, doffs, low-tier ships, zone access, team access, fleet access, etc) like the romulans have at DR release. 3-way Alliance, 3-way perks. And removed the restrictions completely sometime during the iconian war. What's that got to do with the romulans' "size or power in lore?"
Whilst I'm not against cross-faction teaming for those missions, I am against full integration as the Fed in me doesn't trust the KDF in me and the Rom in me is two minds about everything! lol
Have you ever actually played a romulan? During the mission "Turning Point," the Romulan Republic allies itself with the Federation and the Klingon Empire. The player then has to choose to receive perks from one or the other, which doesn't really make sense but is obviously done to conform to the existing faction mechanics. This is the alliance mechanic I'm referring to.
Also, I still have no idea what exactly is your point.
Ships? Faction ships should remain as they are.
Armadas? Undecided.
Social Zone Access? My take is a bit different...
Instead of unlocking ESD for the KDF, for example, why not create a social zone that is accessible by all players either past a certain level (50-60) or have the new social zone as a mission unlock.
One option is to have a "mostly-completed" New Romulus as the "Alliance" social zone instead of making a new zone for it.
Alternatively, update and release the Captain's Table for access by everyone. I seriously doubt many LTSers would see a problem with that... I definitely won't. The asset is already in the game and would probably make more sense as far as time needed to update it and to add a few things to bring it up to par with other social zones. There are already representatives from the major factions already there, and it makes more sense "theme-wise".
Keep ESD as it is... for the lower levels and attention-TRIBBLE.
