Not to get ahead of myself but next time could we please get an alien science vessel pack? I was originally thinking Vulcan (T6 D'kyr perhaps), Gorn and Reman but you could do Orion for uniqueness sake.
Personally i'd like to see more faction alien ships. I'm still patiently waiting for T6 Andorian ships.
Um..... this pack has upgraded D'kyr and Varanus in it....
I do want to see the alternate angles; or get comparison shots of the other two faction groups together (the KDF are a little hard to distinguish, and except for the 'warp ring' being incomplete on one version, it's hard to see the differences on the Republic ships)
Too many science ships for the KDF and Romulans. It must be a conspiracy to break the warrior spirit and turn all the Klingon in nerdy scientists with lab coats and spectacles.
You saw through their evil plan! The fiends!
Soon Klingon children will be quoting Surak before they learn to use a blade:p

Personally I prefer the original Vesta designs, but the new designs can use the Vesta material which is nice, some of the new saucers look good with the material.
The T6 Reconnaissance versions design kind of reminds me of the Advanced Escort.
not to be a wet blanket, but the stats were released.
Gorn ship continues the same trend that cost the Varanus heavily in C-store sales originally, in that it has the worst stats of the bunch, with less turn rate, and paying the "cloaking tax" on the shield multiplier, while not being equipped with a cloak.
1.35 vs. 1.40
11.5 vs. 12
The Romulan ships share the 1.4 shield mod and 12 turn rate with the Feds, but add romulan battlecloak and singularity powers.
Your stats are not accurate with those listed in the blog and C-Store.
Singularity powers are already balanced by having subsystem power penalty. Romulan battle cloak is an extra benefit and incentive for playing Romulan faction.
Vesta has the best stats except for hull, and access to T5 consoles.
Gorn MMSV has the best hull.
Romulan EW has the worst stats, but built-in rom battle cloak and singularity core.
Ordinarily, the Fed variant wouldn't have access to DHC, while the KDF one would have both DHC and basic cloak - Naj'sov doesn't have DHC since it's set up specifically for science with a lot of engineering support. Since it is Gorn continuing the Varanus line it lacks cloak, but is given upgrades with Aux-DHC/DHC support, secondary deflector, hangar bay, and proper 5-Sci console slots (and not something unusual like 4 Tac 3 Eng 4 Sci) thanks to the Vesta line.
Rom variant would have less hull but higher turn rate. So if anything could be changed slightly, it would be giving it 36,000 hull and 12 turn. 11.5 makes sense on the Gorn ship coming from 11 on both Varanus and engineering heavy fleet Laeosa. Lockbox temporal science vessel sits at 15 turn and 34,500 with 1.45 shield mod and 0.2 impulse for comparison, and that's T5-U and no DHC, and Dysons are all at 12 turn in Sci mode, so it'd be within reason.
I don't care about the stats or game balancing or anything like that. The ship I fly has to appeal to me on some level, and the Visalia is dead schmexy.

Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!
I don't care about the stats or game balancing or anything like that. The ship I fly has to appeal to me on some level, and the Visalia is dead schmexy.

Oh yes, these ships look GREAT! The mixing of Romulan and Vulcan design aesthetics looks quite nice. And the warp ring makes perfect sense as part of singularity containment.
I wish they would update the D'Kyr with the lensing effect in its ring.
The lensing effect is due to the singularity drive. The D'kyr uses warp cores.

As for the T6 Oberth, I've kind of felt the Scryer when using a normal skin is very Oberth like.
That said I really cannot express strongly enough how much I am enjoying the new that said I really cannot express strongly enough how much I am enjoying the new Gorn Engineering variant of the Multi mission science vessel.
It really is one of my most surprisingly satisfying purchases in this game a while.

T6 updates for the Kamarag & Vor'Cha

I really hadn't considered Temporal for the specialization, and I'm definitely going to have to tinker around with Boff seatings to find the ideal one. I'll buy all three, but I'll fly the tactical version.
But anyway, thanks Cryptic for making the T6 Vesta happen!
@reyan01 : I feel you. But I do think the T6 Nova isn't far away, since they're breaking out the science vessels for T6 now. I do declare however, that the Nova should have gotten upgraded earlier because it's from a TV show, has been around for far longer than the Vesta and because its heavy involvement in Delta Rising would have provided a perfect opportunity. But it'll come, I'm sure of it.
I have to say, having caved in and purchased the Vesta (T6) pack, I am VERY impressed. The new skins are a thing of beauty, and they perform wonderfully - I mirrored my FT5-U Rhode Island drain build on the tactical variant and am loving it - similar performance to the Nova class (its not as agile) with the benefit of temporal shenanigan powers.
On the flip-side, it serves as a reminder of how far behind the times the Nova feels these days.
I have bought the Starfleet 3-pack and am flying the tactical version. I'm using an evolution of my T5-U Vesta build with the consoles from the T5 set and the new ones from the T6 set (I won't be using the Lukari console though, the set bonus isn't worth it and I don't want to sacrifice the Temporally Shielded Datacore after alrady throwing out the Assimilated Module and the Bio-Neural Gel Packs), and while I didn't really have the opportunity to properly test the ship yet, I must say that the new console abilities are very useful (especially the one from the engineering version), and the temporal shenanigans seem to be a good addition. An Intel version couldn't have done it better. It's very fast and agile, and packs quite a punch despite only having a 3/3 weapon layout. The only thing I worry about is the hull, that seems to be rather thin.
I'd say the devs have really hit it out of the ballpark with this one. I really feel like I'm flying the most advanced ship in the fleet. I have to thank the devs again for this amazing ship.
EDIT: I'd love to post screenshots of mine, but I don't have any right now.

May do the same - as noted, I'm using the tactical version as favour the asthetics - it's a fantastic design and I equipped the Aegis shields visuals - the effect is absolutely gorgeous. Will try to post a screenshot later.
I have the M.A.C.O. set equipped. While I do disable shield and deflector visuals nowadays, since I feel the ships look good enough without, I leave the effect of the impulse engines on - the blue trails look really great on this one.

Yeah, the Rommie tac explorer looks awesome with the Aegis shield on, too.
Never been too fond of the impulse trail or the deflector visuals though...

That said I really cannot express strongly enough how much I am enjoying the new that said I really cannot express strongly enough how much I am enjoying the new Gorn Engineering variant of the Multi mission science vessel.
It really is one of my most surprisingly satisfying purchases in this game a while.

No. I'd rather have a T6 Nova.
Who's the prettiest of them all?
Who's the prettiest of them all?
I have the M.A.C.O. set equipped. While I do disable shield and deflector visuals nowadays, since I feel the ships look good enough without, I leave the effect of the impulse engines on - the blue trails look really great on this one.

I love the look though.
My character Tsin'xing
Yeah, the Rommie tac explorer looks awesome with the Aegis shield on, too.
Never been too fond of the impulse trail or the deflector visuals though...
I can't wait to see these ships with the new Lukari Rep shield visuals, though.

Looks great. Though I have to say that I don't like the standard stanchions on the Palatine. I gave mine the ones from the original Vesta, they look the best and make the ship appear longer.
