Just gonna borrow Anazonda's list and put my own answers to help people who think there's criteria involved (I personally think it's completely random). As I said above, I did get the email:

    - Dumped cash into STO since F2P - my wife would kill me if she knew how much I've spent ...
    - Filled out surveys - never
    - Sucked up to Devs or moderators - I've said some bad things about the company, and said one particular dev leaving would be a nice present for the community, so ... oh and one other time I accused another dev of being a sell-out
    - Done good for the community - other than posting on these forums, I don't socialize with the community much
    - not been critical about the current model - I've made extensive posts about why I hate the current model

I have this ship as well, I wonder can we gift the code to a friend that does not have the ship? I sent a message to Ambassador Kael, but he has not yet responded.

I've learned to ignore these threads instead of being disappointed every time. Only people that ignore the game for months get these.

I think this was given to those players who filled out the lock box survey of January 6th, I could be wrong though!

My younger sister hasn't even played the game for a while, and she got a code. You are therefore wrong.

The lock box survey was an email they sent out not something in-game. Are you sure she did not answer the survey?

I answered the survey, and I did get the ship code. All of my characters are level 60 and I've been playing steadily since late 2014 after taking a break in 2012-2013.

She barely even checks her mail unless she's expecting something. So no.

**dashes off to his email only to find nothing**
    damn :/
... I logged in when it was released just to buy it and log out (haven't really played since finishing AOY in August), and now I get one for free ... well, the 10 spec points are nice at least ...

I could give that code a good home :)

Hmm, maybe it IS random then. It's annoying that marketing never tells us the criteria for these giveaways.

    - Dumped cash into STO since F2P - several hundred dollars over 4+ years including a lifetime sub.
    - Filled out surveys - yes, the lock box one. Maybe others, I forget
    - Sucked up to Devs or moderators - I try to understand their POV, and am a software developer myself, so I have been called a white knight a time or two. But I've also pointed out bugs, agreed with valid criticisms, and asked for QoL changes.
    - Done good for the community - I do try to help people with questions in the forums, but nothing besides that.
    - not been critical about the current model - I accept the current model, but I do explain to people using the Power of Math why they should never open lock boxes and R&D packs just to get ships.

    You missed one:

    - Not playing recently? - no, have played steadily.

It's bound to account anyway. (My brother, who plays around with our sister's account in her absence, initially tried to redeem it on his main account before redeeming it on hers.)

All of these codes are bound like that.

I think most of this is the same for me, (except I don't have a wife :p )

Yet I never got an e-mail, and I did fill in the last lock box survey.

I think it's fair to say that these e-mail promotions are just determined randomly.

No, you can't. The code only works on the account whose email address it was sent to.

One idea I had for being a prerequisite after reading this thread (easily possible that not the only one, also randomness may be included):

Having at least one character of level 50+ that has not yet reached level 60.

Toons below 50 or already at 60 have no influence.
My mother was an epohh and my father smelled of tulaberries

While I'm not too disappointed I didn't get the code myself (I am, slightly, ofc), it would be nice to have an official statement who got the email. If it was just randomly determined X number of players, just say so!

They won't give out details, there was a massive uproar demanding such answers when they gave out the Ferengi ship as a "loyalty" reward, and Cryptic said "customer privacy" as their only response

Has anybody with at least 1 level 60 character recieved the mail?

you could be right I have 1 character at level 53 and got the code, claimed it through arc no problem but nothing in my inbox yet.
of course I also have 6 characters of lv60.

    EDIT:
although it said check your game mail when I input the code I found the items in the promotions section of the c-store.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

At this point, I think they just run a RNG to decide who gets these because it's ridiculous. Never gotten a single one of these.

Yeah I remember when I got that ship couldn't fly it anywhere without getting hateful remarks sent to me.... I claimed a ship from a code I got sent could never understand the hate...
