Trouble is they never ever reveal how exactly they pick the chosen few to receive these gifts. So it's no wonder the conspiracies start popping up here and there.
I know they've said about privacy being one reason with the Nagus (which frankly was nonsense because you could see the ships easily enough to know who got one, removing any privacy). And i guess they also don't want to give away their secrets or some people might try to exploit their generosity.
Personally I don't care either way. I would not use the ship so no loss for me. But I can sympathize with some of the people who don't know why they did not get the magic email and are left wondering why their loyalty is ignored.
If they'd disclosed the spending thresholds it would have been disclosing private info about the people who got them.
How so?
On the contrary, if they gave the requirements, discussions about how to get it would be limited, stopping the flow of private info.
Compare:
"PWE: ...
Player 1: maybe it's because X.
Player 2: No, I have X and I didn't get it. Maybe it's Z.
Player 1: Could be.
Player 3: No, it's not. I have X and Z and even Y and didn't get it.
Player 4: Ah, but I do have Y. Maybe it's Z, Y and something else.
Player 5: How about W?"
AND
"PWE: It's delivered to those who have V.
Player 1: Cool.
Player 2: Darn."
In the end, more private info was revealed in the first case.
now, now no one said they care if we sure private info. they just don't want to be blamed. :P
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
Congratz everyone who gets one. I've never had a free ship via Email, but it will happen one day! lol.
And just for the conspiracy nuts on the req's:-
Played daily for years,
Spent waaaay too much,
11 toons all 60,
Always helpful in zone and forum,
Never suck up (lol),
Have Arc installed,
Am signed up for Emails,
Oh, I'm from the UK (if people are claiming regional).
As I said, I'm not bothered, never have been about giveaways. If I've got it, it matters not too.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
Uhhh so i got the intel assault cruiser as soon as it was released and now i received this mail will i get my zen back when i redeem it or the other t6 souv? Anyone tried to redeem the code who has the ship allready? Can you give the code to others?

No you won't get anything back and no you can't give it to anyone else, it's Account Bound.

Frankly, I really hope you didn't do anything to deserve this. Seriously. Because whatever you did, spending-wise, I'm sure others can match it. Personally, I don't like companies shoving it in my face that I'm apparently not worthy enough. Like me getting the gold-plated Ferengi ship: I'm fairly certain I wasn't more of a 'loyal customer' than many people who probably spent even way more on the game than I did. I was happy for myself, of course, but at the same time deemed it unfair others, who were at least equally worthy, didn't get one.
So, let's just hope it's all random luck, cuz that's the only thing which makes these promos palatable.
I think it is just RNGesus, I have toons at lvl60 and one at lvl8 and still got a code this time but didn't with the Ferengi ship. It is just RNG as far as I can see.

translation: having your name picked out of a digital hat (which is how it happened) is far better and fairer than having gotten that code because of something you did that others didn't
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

Not sure I understand the question. But if you mean, 'So what if others spent equally as much?' -- and IF the criteria are indeed based on the amounts spent -- then this would annoy me, yes. Now, please nobody go twist my words now, so as to say I begrudge you your gift, but in general, yes, if a company sets criteria to be met, and others meet those requirements as well, then either the others should get the gift too, or said company is playing favorites.

No, that I got it, no problem. Even if I disagree. I have seen and participated in several of those gifts from other companies where the requirements were clear and there was no problem (except if you met the criteria and didn't get the gift, of course, but that's another problem).
as a PSA just because it comes up every email ship https://www.arcgames.com/en/my/setting
go there, under language preference, make sure that little tick box is on if you ever want to get one of these ships

There, fixed that for ya. If someone spent X amount, and thus met the requirement, and another person did not spent X, and consequently didn't get anything, then that would be totally fine with me. But if others spent X too -- and, I repeat, 'X spent' was indeed the criterium -- then I would deem that unfair, yes.

Thank you! I was looking all over for that. Since I never receive messages from them, I figured I must not have opted in (or opted out once).
Seems an odd place to put it, never would have thought to look there.
OTOH, during my search, I did discover I once did subscribe years and years ago, which I was wondering about (when I came back I had an account bank)

Looked in mailbox. Nothing. But, as usual, I have already purchased all the possible ship slots and I'm running out of dry dock space. Even if I receive that e-mail, I'd have to give up something. Oh bother. (I know, First World Problem. But...oh bother.)
And unlike others, it doesn't seem to have been sent due to inactivity since I've been playing almost everyday since Legacy of Romulus.
So, make sure to check in your normal and spam boxes not to miss it. The ship is nice, but 10 spec points (it's only once per account and all 10 for one character, so choose wisely) is the little raspberry on the cake.
I hope this mail reward will go smoother than the last one.
EDIT: Also, it's not mentioned in its description, but it does come with the same Wide Angle Quantum Torpedo Launcher like the T5 version and every character on the account can claim it.
Thanks OP i usually avoid Yapoop but glad i read this thread
In addition to opting in to receive the emails, I wonder if it has anything to do with using Arc.

I'm a lifer and also got the email soooo.......
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
