Would have preferred something different this year... looks like we'll be seeing Breen ships for the next couple of years then and nothing Andorian :/

The ship has a nice skin though, I'll admit that.

The ltc science means this might finally be the ship i've been looking for for my Klingon. let the games begin.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

Are you sure the Engineer and Science Console slots aren't suppose to be reversed? A ship with a Lt Commander Science seat and only a Lt Engineer seat sounds like it should have 4 Science consoles and 3 Engineer consoles instead. Just my $0.02

It'll be good to get a T6 version of this ship.

My thought exactly. I would have prefered an entirely new ship instead of recycling an old design and giving it slightly improved stats. But it's a "free" ship so I can't complain.

I agree. I would also prefer it to have 4 sci slots. I'm not going to knock a free ship. Free is great no matter the console layout. And the trait (depending on exact stats) could be something useful.

I have a few toons that I just couldn't justify prying from their Chel Gretts because I just loved the versatility of that ship... now I have found my crowbar. A ship that looks that mean with those stats... FOR FREE? Yes please.

The Enhanced Breen Energy Dissipator console is a potent weapon that was able to incapacitate enemy ships during the Dominion War until the Federation and Klingon forces adapted their ships to compensate.
If memory serves, it was Federation and Romulan forces that needed to adapt their ships - the Klingon ships were unaffected by the Dissapator.
I may be remembering it wrong, though...

Well, nothing against Breen ships (although I was just slightly hoping for the Nagus or another variant of it), but I find the original NPC versions (and the canon Grett) were just looking way better than what they are giving players.
    Thus:
    Chel Grett >> Chel Boalg
Old Sarr Theln >>>>> New Sarr Theln
Only the Rezreth wasn't that bad, both the old and new version are a bit too weird.

But as far as the stats go, making the tac Lt. become universal Lt. Comm. is a pretty big deal. That opens up a lot of possibilities for my most used ship across characters. It ensures the Chel Grett (Boalg) will remain very much used.

Thank you devs for giving science some love. Between the Nebula trait and this one, my drain ship will be a shield devastator.

You are correct. the klingon's were the only force not taken offline by the weapon. it is from this anomoly that the alterations to federation technology were made. something about the warp cores if memory serves.

Your memory is correct. The Breen first deployed the weapon at the Second Battle of Chin'toka in 2375. 311 Alliance ships were destroyed or damaged beyond repair, including the original USS Defiant. During the battle, the Klingon Bird of Prey Ki'tang was found to be immune from the new weapon. Investigation revealed that before the battle, the chief engineer adjusted the tritium intermix to compensate for a warp core containment problem. This accidental innovation allowed the Klingons to quickly protect their fleet against the Breen weapons, but the Feds and Roms took considerably longer to modify their ships.

It would not surpise me if it could use T5 Chel Grett costume
(of course for players that own T5 Chel Grett)...

And about the BOFFs seats (Eng and Sci), the ship also got 2 universal seats, so it can be mighty skewed by putting whatever we need here...

    Temporal specialist seating?
Strange choice, but then again it had to be Temporal as it is the new shiny.

Gotta admit I'm relying on that. I'd probably be very pissed if the Boalg couldn't use the Chel Grett skin.

So, is this ship going to be account unlock like all the other reputation ships? The posts about the Winter Rewards and the Ship stat page don't state either way. Confirmation would be welcome.

Agreed on confirmation. The slotted mission doesn't state either.

But why the temporal spec, does it really makes sense for a Breen ship to have it or did they just slap it on for something different?

So the specs are published incorrect. it is Commander Tactical, Lt Commander Tactical, Lt Cdr Science/Intel, Lt Engineering and Ensign Universal. I would have most definitely preferred the Temporal Seating.

Indeed. This one will be dethroning the dread as my go-to free ship.

That's not cool. People spent lobi to get this ship sooner based on the original info in the blog that said it had a LtC universal slot and a sci/temporal slot, not a ltC tac and sci/intel. And if that's not bad enough, you don't even admit you made a mistake, you just go back and edit the blog like no one would notice. And it's still wrong cause it still says LtC universal and it's not, its a tac seat.
