How did everybody know it was going to be called Archon before it was released?
A brief C-Store bug replaced the data for the T5 Regent with that of the T6 Archon. Was found quickly and the Regent was temp locked out until it was fixed.
Is the price a bug or did they reduce the price for T6 ships?
I though tthe regular price was 3000z

Yeah, but to balance things, the fleet version needs 5 fleet ship modules instead of the usual 4 unless you buy the store version first.
just bought the intel version for 1 fleet ship module...the command version is 5 modules because there is no c-store version for it, similar to other T6 ships that have no c-store version and therefore no starship trait.
And people complain when others make comments about the total lack of any meaningful communication from PWE/Cryptic in this game. Yeah, we saw a Blog about the Archon Class T6 Intel Sovereign. Did you see anything mentioned that it was already available? It is on sale by surmise based upon cost vs. normal cost for a T6. Was that announced? How long is the sale for?

What's the premise for this ship? Phasing and cloaking abilities? This came out of nowhere.
If by this point the FED has cloaking tech on the Galaxy X, what's to stop them from applying it to other cruisers (particularly with Intel spec in STO)? I think this is just running with the original idea presented in All Good Things with another Hero ship and one that does have access to other stealth/subterfuge abilities through the spec seat.

Baudl appearently doesnt believe having the wizkids variant qualifies for a fleet module discount. Seeing is how this scenario is unprecedented, a ship obtained via promotion that also have a fleet variant, how is this belief reached? I fully assume that it should get a fleet module discount.

that is not what I meant, but I can see that my comment could be interpreted that way, sorry for that...I just wanted to say that there had to be a fleet intel version (it was missing when servers went up, though advertised) since the fleet module discount didn't apply for it if you got the c-store intel version.

Well, you definitely SHOULD get the module discount.
But considering that the text from the official release just says:
The Fleet Command Assault Cruiser [T6] can be purchased from the Ship Store for 20,000 Fleet Credits and 5 Fleet Ship Modules if your Fleet has a Tier 5 Fleet Shipyard.
You can't really be sure now can you?

I have never seen a game in my life with so many ambiguous promos and such a lack of information. Everything you purchase in this game is a total gamble, so just be prepared for it. There is a very real possibility that you're going to get screwed on the module discount.
Just for the record, it's not unprecedented. The T5 Ambassador had a promo version as well as a fleet version. Ownership of the promo ship did not trigger a fleet module discount in that case.

Thought about doing some STO to get this ship but then it reminded me of the same ole problems getting stuck during loading screens. This thing isn't worth reloading client every time I switch characters smh.
If there is a new ship released they ALWAYS announce that it is on sale, usually for the first weekend. Then again, as I said, the News Blog NEVER said this ship was even available for purchase. Since this patch was on a Tuesday I assume it will be on sale for more than a weekend, until next Monday.
When an item is on sale in the C-Store they usually show the 'list' price crossed out with the sale price indicated with it. Not for this.
Will there be a Zen Charge Bonus after Thursday's 'patch'. Remember, they still need to take 'Echos of Light' out of its current Featured Episode status and make it 60+ only. So we should get another 'patch' to at least take care of that.
Next week (Friday) should be the Black Friday 20% off everything in the C-Store. Will that mean that all who bought the Archon now at 2,500 Zen could get it for 2,400 Zen next Friday if they waited. Remember the Federation Carrier with its normal initial sale came out smack in the middle of the Black Friday Sale last year. Was confusing to say the least.

There are two other factions in this game that would love some new current timeline, non lock box ships.

Honestly I don't really care. A Tier 6 Vor'cha, no matter how it looks, is a buy for me. I'll use the Vor'kang skin anyway.

The Regent comes with the Metreon Gas Canister Console so where's the launcher? I've looked in the C-Store and the Ship Requisitions panel and can't find it anywhere. I am absolutely baffled.

Obtained my WizKids Command Assault Cruiser for $15 USD today. It should have occurred to me beforehand that I'd need Arc installed to redeem the code. :-l Something to bear in mind for anyone who hasn't gotten it already. Install, redeem, uninstall.
