Bets are that the Command Version that is going to be a Promo and show up in the C-Store Promotions Tab, will NOT get the FSM discount. The Mirror Guardian Crusier that was available through the Chase Masterson Pop Culture Hero Coalition Charity Drive last year, was unlocked into the Promotions Tab. Having that ship did NOT get you a FSM discount for the Fleet ship. And yes I know there wasn't a Fleet ship for that Guardian version.

Ill never ever understand the aversion people have to arc. The main reason i use it is because it saves me the trouble of inputting my password, the arc launcher has it saved.

I find it useful to know and regularly use the largest amount of passwords possible. Well, there's exceptions of course when you'd have to type a password every few minutes or so... but personally I don't launch STO more than once or twice per day.
Then there's the side of Arc that it's been accused of being a spyware and/or bloatware even by antivirus software.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Yeah, but false positives happen all the time, for even things like Steam, GOG, even Windows itself (which, well, IS bloatware)
While going off topic here, the difference is you can easily play STO without ARC and without really losing anything. Now playing STO without Windows gets tricky (well, way trickier than with Windows, and that can already get difficult).

Even if you install it under Arc or Steam just create a Desktop Shortcut to the Star Trek Online.exe executable and you can start it without invoking any of those wrappers.

I wish they were more forthcoming about things like this, instead of trying to weasel you into that Arc TRIBBLE. DO NOT WANT!
Anyway, thank you for sharing this.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
