Ah yes, Jayce's Navy Interstellar... the future equivalent of today's sports car magazines XD.
Where can I subscribe to this paper anyway? (kidding, I know it's a kind of a hobby thing)

    Great screenies!

@crypticttc One minor nitpick: Page 7 should say 'all of her capabilities', not 'all of her capabilties'. Nicely made, just like the last one.

Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.p3OEBPD6HU3QI.jpg

I actually think it's more compareable to "Jane's", but I could be mistaken ( @crypticttc ??? ) :) - anyway.. Thomas did an excellent job yet again and it's really fantastic to have so much background info.. -> to me these kind of things make STO so much more enjoyable!!! <3

Connected to the last one, here's how I think Echoes of Light should've ended :3
Some abbreviations for the character roles:
    SA: Starfleet Admiral
    XO: Executive Officer
    CSO: Chief Science Officer
    CTO: Chief Tactical Officer
    MDRN: Madran
    SA: Do we have them?
CSO: Yes, sir. Their weapons are down, and we have a solid lock with the tractor beam.
SA: Tactical, cease fire, and open a channel.
CTO: Ferengi vessel, this is the Federation Starship U.S.S. Berion; cut engines, lower your shields and surrender the stolen equipment.
MDRN: Equipment? Stolen? I-I don't know what you are talking about!
SA: Enough of your games, Madran! We've been scanning K-13 since we arrived, and we know that the phaser and torpedo banks were removed by Ferengi cutting tools! You've been quietly taking this station apart!
MDRN: This is not Federation space! You have no jurisdiction here!
XO: As a matter of fact, DaiMon Madran, we do.
    MDRN: SINCE WHEN, WOOL-CAN?!
XO: We have managed to bring the starbase back online. Also, since you abandoned it, K-13 is no longer contested, and is under our protection. Per Federation law, which is also recognized by the Ferengi Alliance, DaiMon, you are now trespassing in Federation space, which terminates at a radius of exactly 1 light year from Starbase K-13.
    MDRN: *gulp*
SA: We can still keep this friendly, Madran. Just return the equipment you've stolen.
MDRN: No! I found it! I claimed it, hew-mon! I claim salvage rights! I demand you disengage the tractor beam, compensate me for all the property damage you caused, and I MIGHT consider NOT filing a complaint with the Ferengi Trade Commission! They won't leave the Federation alone until Starfleet takes that ship away from you!
SA: Sounds to me you refuse to recognize the gravity of your situation.

Bluffing, the admiral raises his right hand; in this context, a universal gesture, generally preceeding an attack order.

MDRN: W-w-wait... you can't be serious!
SA: We could also play this the hard way, DaiMon. Commander, ready an inspection team for boarding action. Make sure that they scan for any hidden stasis pods too.
    XO: Aye, sir.
    MDRN: YOU WOULDN'T!
SA: Tactical, ready weapons. I want the rest of those shields down.
    MDRN: *!!EEEEK!!*

No, it was still fun to read. And I figured, from the context, that you meant EEK! since Madran seemed to be in a panic. :)

Continuing the saga of replaying the entire game (KDF Edition) with Lighting 2.0, I give you "Today is most certainly a good day to die!". At least that's what it should be called based on the number of Bridge Officer bodies laying around here...

@kurumimorishita I think it's a marvelous ship  A worthy successor to the Regent.
Still, I think I'll carry over the nacelles from the Regent though XD

Agreed @kelettes. I can see where they were going with the new nacelle designs, but the scale is just too big. If the new nacelles were maybe 25% smaller, they'd be a pretty cool update of the Sovereign nacelles. Maybe they'll grow on me. Some of the other STO design choices certainly have.

@kelettes / @cuchulainn74 The Archon still grows on me, too and I certainly will try out some more kitbashs/skins etc. *^_^* - it definitely has several sweet spots, that I like a lot. Ah.. and speaking of the Regent.. is it just me who is bothered that really most of the Federation Bussard Collectors (in general) are way too light/yellowish/orange??? The Regent's Bussard Collectors are among the very few which have a really nice red glowing (as it should be) and I wished so much they'd update the others!!!

@ktyrrell Thank you very much!!! Glad you like them! *^_^*

Uh I just noticed something on the Archon screenshots :S

On the ventral side of the saucer -- the ship ID... looks like it's been rotated by 180° XD

I noticed the same thing. I suppose it makes sense from a hull-walking perspective, but not so much from an off-ship perspective.

    Not just you.

Edit: Just realized what you meant. Yeah, Regent's bussard collectors are one of the few that have that distinct red glow. I wish that was an option that could be changed on other ships. I want Regent's red on all my ships.

...why is Cryptic incapable of designing good looking ships...

Well, I like a lot of their own designs (Hestia, Pathfinder, Mogh, Guardian,.. just to name a few) or at least "parts" of them, but I agree, that their own ships often include some questionable design choices (just from my point of view) - but I also think that it is very hard to compete with the original/canon designs in general.. well.. in the end I'm just happy that we have lots of ships and parts to choose among, so that there's something for everyone *^_^* !!!
