So I have been making a list of bugs to report with video showing the bug but support does not want to reward people who take the time to report the bugs.Yet we help them continue to rain in the money. Like I just did the one for rep gear and mission reward gear not being able to upgrade them. Which is a big time money maker. If you can't upgrade gear that is one less reason to buy keys.
So I am on strike on reporting bugs till they reward at least a 100 keys for the first person reporting a game breaking bug. Which I have reported 2 game breaking bugs first so far. So I ask the Xbox community to strike with me till we get a reward program for people reporting bugs.
Now for the people that do not know reporting a bug with video from xbox 1 takes around 1 hour or more of your time Which is why out of 50 plus people in my fleet I was the only one report bugs with video showing the bugs.

STO on Console is going through the same growing pains it had on PC. Its an extremely complicated game, and Cryptic has a small team that has triple the responsibility now. They just threw up a HUGE patch on the PC version with a TON of bug fixes, and quality of life changes. My guess is in another week or two you will see the same on console. Patience is a wonderful thing.
Fleet Admiral In charge of Bacon
Fighting 5th Attack Squadron
The Devils Henchman
Here in PC land they rewarded bug Reporters with a fancy forum title "Bug Hunter".
And...that's it.
No keys, no zen, no nothing.
If no one does it, nothing will get fixed, its your choice if you wish to continue or not. But it's not helping if you just stop, though I respect your decision to cease and desist.
Maybe they'll do a more thorough job on QA in the future, if they can't rely on the players to do their QA for them.
But yeah, its neither here or there, you either do it, for the sake of the game you enjoy, or you don't (which is fine).
One of the 2 options will bring results, the other not so much. And perhaps make things worse over time.
But I highly doubt they'll reward players with anything more then a fancy forum title (even though what you're doing is helpful to them and has an intrinsic value on its own).
It's just not going to happen, so I hope you were being sarcastic
I can understand frustration regarding bugs, even STO on the PC has many bugs that have not been fixed for years. But to demand compensation for reporting bugs? Yeah, keep dreaming.
If you don't want to deal with bugs for a "newly" launched console game while years of content developed for it, then I suggest you simply move on to a different game.
So if it is so easy you 2 can make a YouTube video on your Xbox 1 until than can PC players stop trolling the Xbox 1 community? We have all heard how great the pc players are at the game and will destroy my ship in pvp in 5 seconds in a 1 vs 1. As we have been told by some of the pc players we know nothing about the game. As they have played it for 6 plus years. Yet 2 minutes later the PC player had no shields 13% health used stealth and went into hiding crying about me using 2 ability I was not even using and my health at 100% and full shields. That he wanted to go get a different ship or now duel a 3rd person from his fleet so they could try and beat me in a 1 vs 1. But he is the Best pvper from PC or so he says. I am not even the best in my Fleet. I am just a noob console player. Gut & Nar teaches me everything in STO XBOX1.
I don't think he was "The Best PvP'er from PC"...
Cause that's me
nah, I'm kidding around.
But yeah.. If someone "knows what they are doing", using the cheesiest tactics in the game... they can make minced meat out of any casual.
It's just the way the game is on pc...too much powercreep kind of ruined the casual PvP'er experience.
The thing is, when those players find an exploit, they go full on in that direction. Using all their knowledge to make that particular exploit (OP ability) as devastating as possible.
It usually doesn't end well for casuals.
And at this point, one can't even compare the two, jumping from PC onto console is not the same at all.
No Doffs
No R&D Equipment
Lacking many of the traits PC players have available to them.
It's a whole new game when you compare the two.
There is just too much difference at this point for a fair comparison. Wait a year or two until console players have all the bells and whistles that we PC players have at our disposal.
And I have no ill will towards console players, in fact I own a PS4.
And hot damn, Red Dead Redemption 2 was just announced, I can die a happy John Marston.
That's the thing no one else is on Xbox 1 because of the work to report a bug with video. 2 out of 3 of my last bug reports are first reports on the bug. Every since BF1 came out the pop in STO has been cut in half so I have them by the balls atm. So they can reward me a little or the game will die faster like it did on PS4.
Don't expect anything and if you get something positive, be thankful. If this doesn't sound like something you want to do, then stop.
While the game may be 6 years old, it is an MMO where new content is added regularly. Sometime new content code doesn't 'play well' with older code and bugs pop up. It happens and sometimes it can take a while to figure out exactly what is causing the problem and get it fixed.
Also, you can't play with or against PC players from the consoles. PC and console players are on separate servers and have ZERO interaction in game. Console and PC versions of the game differ so much currently that they literally are 2 separate games and cannot play together. Perhaps someday that will change, but I highly doubt it.
Losing faith in humanity, one person at a time.
Thank you for your wisdom. May Nar grant you the loot you seek from the lock boxes.
@jodarkrider Please end this thread!! OP you can't threaten the Game/Devs etc. You DO NOT have the company 'by the balls'.
Except it didn't die on PS4. It won't die on Xbox. It hasn't died on PC. Cryptic doesn't reward bug hunters, never have, never will. And seriously......your "Game ending bugs" still put your "Broken" game WORLDS, nay, GALAXIES beyond what the first couple of YEARS of the game was like on PC. Seriously, you are just whining. If you don't like it, then don't play it. They should just release the game to console at the same pace it got released to PC......but since they aren't doing that, just relax there fella. Console as released (even with bugs included) is about on par with where PC was between years 3-4 (someone correct me if I'm off....just saying in comparison to content/ships/features) So OP....It will get fixed, and Cryptic will fix it whenever they feel like it. The Romulan Duty Officer recruitment has been broken for well over a year, and they literally JUST fixed it.
.....100 keys my butt......kids these days..............
It was your own decision to record videos. While it definitely does help illustrate what the bugs are that you are encountering, it is not a requirement. If you are frustrated, then simply stop providing video footage and simply describe what the problem is. Or just let other people report bugs if you want to wash your hands of it.
The game has been out for less than 2 months, so there are bound to be a lot of bugs that need to be fixed especially since Cryptic tried to rush development in time for Star Trek's 50th Anniversary.
Now with regards to fixing bug... I am not a software developer, however, what I can tell you is that the process to fix software bugs is a pretty lengthy process since the bugs needs to be replicated through testing, a solution will need to be developed to fix the bug, then it needs to be thoroughly tested to make sure the fix does work and more importantly it does not create new problems.
I am sure there are a few other steps involved, but that is the gist of it based on my dealings with business analysts (who in turn work directly with software developers) at my prior job to ensure my team had the proper tools necessary to analysis and report on daily profits and losses with accuracy and efficiency on a global basis.

100 keys for reporting a "game breaking bug"? If that was so, I should be ruling the key marked...
Typical console users.
OP, you didn't find anything new and unknown. You just want something for nothing. Move along.
no wonder pc players hate us consoles guys.
your ridiculous.
FTFY
pc mustard race?
Then you don't know how Cryptic works.
Cryptic puts a patch on Test/Beta-Servers with about 100 fresh and new bugs (including a few that keep making returns over and over and over again), most of which are reported by the community. -> Cryptic fixes 2 of them and goes on to move the rest of the 98 bugs onto live realms. -> Community is unhappy, Cryptic fixes 2-3 more bugs out of the 98 remaining and moves on to the next shiny content.
so...
- know bugs continuously get moved from Test to Live realms
- there are only half-assed bug fixes afterward
- current bugs quickly become old bugs with the next content update/lockbox/event
- old bugs usually don't get fixed.
- those that do get fixed often make a return with the next bigger content update.
so, having you report bugs through youtube to cryptic is pretty much useless. You might as well report them to your car stereo, your cat or a random fire hydrant and you'd have the same chance of getting it fixed,
Oh come on! To be fair, they generally keep an equilibrium. They more content they add, the more bugs, but they also get rid of more, as we can see from the patches today. This results in a sort of balance. It's nowhere near the numbers you are citing.
"Whiny threads" are not limited to console players though. Plenty of 'em are created by the PC player base.
OP believes it is entitled. Following your line of logic, you'd rather play a broken game which you payed for than simply seeing it getting fixed and enjoying the experience you already paid for (one way or the other).
The game contains at the moment alot of game breaking bugs and numeric issues, yet some exploit them and others won't report them, cause they can't get a bundle of keys. Luckily I'm a PC player. At least we know what we're doing there. Literally. And so do they.
