While I voted Alpha, I realized after that I did so without knowing which end is the front. Having read through the thread to this point I see I'm not the only one with this issue.
Given that voting is only for 24 hours maybe someone from Cryptic can let everyone know asap so people can make an informed decision. Further, all future ships should be properly annotated. I can't believe a professional designer wouldn't have thought of that before hand.
Of the options presented, the second to last one looks best to me, like a Mogai without a beak.
I'm going to guess that we're not going to vote on specs/layout, just like we didn't with the Jupiter. Hopefully it turns out with some sort of good layout. Probably full of Eng slots to go with the new K-13 consoles, even though most of these are going to be flown on alts without a lot of Fleet gear or by Fleet-less folks.
I just like the Alpha Logo. Mainly because it would look good on Federational ships. i dont know about Romulan or KDF. although i hae a KDF Romulan and Federation.
Following the UFO theme, wouldn't it be something cool if this culminated with a FE where we accidentally traveled back to 1947 and crash-landed near a small town in New Mexico?

The style of wing on Bravo is interesting, but overall I prefer Alpha. If Bravo were as long as Alpha and looked less like a B-2 stealth bomber I'd've gone for it instead.

The Lukari are designing their first starship amidst the conflict between two factions; one vying for an exploration ship and one vying for military purposes. It's the same old story and unless you're building a tiny robotic probe, military application always wins. I would agree that their first ship should appear on the smaller and somewhat simple side, much like the NX class did, but the Lukari are not building from scratch. The alliance is helping them with the designs. So now the decisions include viewpoints from every alliance culture. Klingons will favor a military design, Vulcans favor exploration designs, Romulans favor covert designs and might offer a cloaking device and of course, the Ferengi will sell them anything they want. Its a tough call.
Ignoring the plot for a moment and thinking only of what I might toss Zen at...well, the truth is I wouldn't toss Zen at any of them. The choice appears to be a flying wing of one shape or another no matter what wins. And the last three options simply look like someone took apart a Ferengi vessel and is trying to fly the components individually.
Let's take a look through the experience of someone who went through this dilemma decades ago; Matt Jeffries.
He was concerned that the Enterprise was going to appear to be the corny flying saucer of the '50's sci-fi and added a secondary hull and propulsion nacelles to end up at the Icon we all love so much. I think the single-hull design presented to us on this event needs to draw upon that same experience again. Lets face it, about the only culture that flies around space without an obvious engineering/propulsion section is the Borg. Lets not have the Lukari emulate that culture.
The Lukari are coming across as a very friendly and curious species, but that may just be what we'vce seen of Kuumaarke and not indicative of the entire species.
However, of all 6 designs, Alpha seems to be the best suited for them. I just hope it comes with a gentle color scheme.

Gonna go Alpha on this one. It appeals somewhat to my own design sensibilities. (And reminds me of some of the Battleplates from "Schlock Mercenary") I'm actually tied between it and the fifth and sixth designs at the moment.
Have to add that I like the greater variety of designs for this poll over the 'Federation Carrier' poll of last year or year before - doesn't seem like it's slanted so that any particular design will win by nostalgia-value alone...

Bravo for me. I rather like flying wings. Is that a front or rear view at the bottom there? That makes rather a large difference in how we view these ships.
