Seven hour PC shard maintenance tomorrow (10/19) from 5AM to Noon?

I don't see an announcement on the Galactic New Network, but I see a message on the log on screen that shows the normal Thursday maintenance going a day early and for seven hours! What's going on? Have you seen the patch notes yet?

    Same here, though it says 5 hours on my launcher..

    PATIENCE! Jeez. You should know by now that the Notes general don't appear at the same time as a Launcher Announcement as different people handle them.

    Trendy, who usually makes the Patch Notes does not have anything to do with altering the Launcher announcements.

    Lol. It's something I regularly dose up on :smiley: Being a gamer who's racked up over 35 years experience, I have lots of it. Gone are the days of 30 minute load times of games via a tape machine, which were usually more suspenseful than modern day thrillers for if there was a slight error you'd have to start over reloading from the begin (God Bless Hex-loading!).

    Looking at the notes on the Arc front page these are upgrades and patches to ARC itself, so it will be the forums and launchers that will be affected, how this will impact the availability of STO itself remains to be seen but I would expect it to be limited and even dump you out of the game.​​

    There is also that it seems to be also a Arc maintenance, so that could be part of why we would have a early and extended patching.

    I was hoping for patches and new content! Oh well. We will probably have a patch again on Thursday!

    This is server maintenance and upgrades, so a physical basically. No patch notes required. Thursday's maintenance will be game maintenance as usual.

    I'll have to try to log into the game during this, to see if it affects Steam users as well. (Unfortunately, and fairly obviously, I won't be able to post anything in here until afterward anyway...)​​

    Yes it will as Steam doesn't have it's own server.

    Only thing listed on the patch notes is fixing the Jem Dread with Bugship pets.

    Meh, while my ship is down for maintenance, I'm gonna don a green armor, and beam to Mars to close a Hell portal while ripping and tearing demons. I'll try to see if giving Argent energy to a tribble turns it into a Cacodemon.

    Patience is bugged right now for me :(

    Luckily I purchased a new phone yesterday and can fiddle around with it lol Never had an Android phone before.

    I'd like to get an IPhone myself, when my Windows Phone no longer functions.

    I've been off the game for several weeks now, just now starting to get back into it in preparation for the next Event. Hopefully the ship will be good. I'll go for it at least for the Admiralty, it's worth one slog to get it on all.

    As for patience, that's something learned over time. I learned it, but I'll still go out of impatience remission once in awhile.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    This update is much longer than the others, are they changing the graphic engine so desktop games can see all those visual improvements they made for console players?

    I have no idea what they're doing. It's Arc maintenance, so there's no telling. We're still having game maintenance tomorrow as well.

    This is NOT game maintenance per say. This is a physical maintenance for the servers. The only thing happening gamewise is the Jem Atttack Ship pet fix.

    I would like to get a Windows phone, but Virgin Mobile does not seem to have one. I'll likely end up getting another Android phone sometime this year or early next year. I don't need anything fancy since I don't do anything that I would consider demanding with a smartphone. I just make calls, listen to music, surf the web, and read ebooks. I'll probably download and play Fallout Shelter though since that game is not supported on my current Android phone.

    I would be nice if my desktops, laptops and smartphone all uses the same basic OS.

    A Windows phone? Why would you do that to yourself? You'd get as much personal damage buying a Chinese knock-off and trying to use that! Stick to a phone OS that is a phone OS, you'll live longer.
