Allow AoY to return to 23c ESD suggestions & solutions

As we all know by now after completing the AoY starting content players have no access or way to get back to the 23c ESD. I and many other players see this as a MAJOR ISSUE that cryptic either didnt for see or just didnt care about. This is something that should be fixed and not over looked.

All the items like BOFFs,weapons, skills, consumables, ships, etc become unavailable after finishing 23c content. Many players dont have the knowledge from experience at STO or even access to the bandaid work around to getting some of the stuff or stocking up before leaving 23c. Such as using the account bank inside your ship to move EC and gear or getting enough DIL together. Lots of players just lose out on the stuff.

These are s few solutions we the players have come up with for our AoY characters.

1. Transwarp to 23c Sol or go to 23c ESD from the transporter pad or shuttle bay.
The AoY character is a Temporal Agent so has time travel as an option. This would be ideal but if cryptic doesnt want newer ships and outfits running around 23c Sol/ESD there are other options.

2. Add 23c Temporal vendors with all the items to 25c ESD and the ship/shuttle to the dock vendor only accessible to AoY characters.

3. At the very least make the 23c items and BOFFs account bound and all can be transferred via account bank.
This is a last resort bandaid option since we would have to make a AoY character that never leaves 23c so we always have access to the stuff.

If anyone else has any suggestions that can be a fix for this issue please feel free to suggest them.

This is a non-issue for a lot of players that have enough ec and sense to 1. store their stuff appropriately, or 2. just buy more items. No big deal.

Or 3- Just don't care about the 23c stuff.

I don't see them adding this option, although it would be great. Unfortunately, just goes to show everyone how little of an expansion this really was. More like a new story arc and a few ships. If it was truly an expansion like the Romulan release, then AOY's would have their own social zones, such as 23rd century ESD to hang out at...oh well.

The Captain's Table is supposed to be outside time and space. So why not put 23c items on vendors there. Crytpic has been looking for ways to utilize that map, so why not use it for the vendors.

This is basically a non-issue since all that 23rd century stuff is completely worthless at end game. However if this "must" be fixed to satisfy the idiosyncratic obsession that some people have with this utterly useless 23rd century junk, the best way to do so would be to make all of it purchasable from the Temporal Rewards NPC's.

Lots of players in ESD zone chat ask about this all the time plus many in my armada have wondered about this not to mention the role players in STO have voiced this also. But like usual nabreeki the troll has to put his two cents in.

Some of the stuff is unique like the boff ground skills that can be slotted at lower positions and some that are only 23c like engie photon mortar ensign, etc. Also the only way to get TOS twin phaser beams that can be raised to [crtd]x4 are only able to be purchased in 23c ESD. There are a few other things but the point is not all of it is useless.

They changed the beams on the T1 Connie to the twin beam blue phasers, and the ones from Night of The Comet, and you can get other TOS weapons by replaying the TOS missions. In other words OP your claim that you can only get these items in the 23rd century map is wrong.
You are wrong since none of those can be raised to [crtd]x4 they are stuck with crth dmg to start with.

Many other people in ESD chat and RPers lol. Way to back up your argument with pillars of the ESD zone chat and RP community. Who do you think the majority of those people are? And you just referred to the leader of your "supporters" as a troll. You embarrass me.

ESD is the first place the AoY characters show up after finishing the starting content so it makes sense that it happens there often.

Do wish I could get some of the boff skills to use, always going to have ensign level skills slotted somewhere and it would be nice if at least the items wheren't bound to character but could be transfered via bank or mail so we could go back and get the skills or some other boffs.

Aren't the AoY BOff skills just the 2409 versions with a 23c in the title.
I saw no difference between the two while playing my AoY toon.

Wow. I'm stunned by the amount of hostility someone gets for a simple and reasonable question like this.

I agree that a return option to the 23c should exist, simply because otherwise a lot of in-game assets are wasted. The entire 23c sector space is used for a few hours at best and the unique abilities are stuck at ensign level and don't improve either. The characters use 23c animation all throughout the future, but the 23c mortar for end game is off limits?

I can't see the wisdom in AoY, creating so much stuff for such a miniscule part of the game. A return to ESD wouldn't be enough, though. It'd be nice to return to 23c space have one social zone there and a few daily/random missions or a queue involving 23c mobs, and drops. A little "pocketverse" of sorts.

I for my part liked the 23c stuff a lot but it was just really a matter of not having enough of it.

Back at the day I was cursing the Delta Rising patrols. This time I wished we would have had half a dozen of those on the old galaxy map. :'(

This please. This so much. I love the idea of the captains table but it has nothing right now to make it worth going to.

Different graphics and sounds. It's particularly noticeable with tractor beams (T'Met has one), medical tricorders (T'Met) and stasis fields (the starter kit my character picked up at Deneva).

I think they could add a feature to the Captain's table and make it a transwarp hub to sandbox maps and content; that should include the 23rd century, and could include the Kelvin timeline.

It would encourage more people to use the Captain's Table and might interest more people in subscribing.

Just use a door in the ESD for AOY characters to use to go to the "Ye olde TOS space Dock". A dorr on "Red level" or something,....

Maybe next to the "Corpse Chute"

No, no it has to be a stasis leak portal that, when you go through the doorway, causes you to emerge in the starbase's showers. ;)

I used my ACCOUNT BANK, purchased from the C-Store, to shuttle more than enough money to get multiple 23c kits. You should do the same. Cryptic should be advertising the hell out of Account Bank for this. Making the kits Bind to Account would allow us to utilize the Account Bank more or even get someone to BUY Account Bank.

Since they're all Level 1 BOFF kits, this should be a non-issue. The abilities are not game-breaking and we can buy them with current sound effects already. So why not release them for everyone by making the kits Bind to Account?

There shouldn't be a way to return to the 23rd century just for shopping. That's grade A irresponsible use of time travel, there.

Instead, all that 23rd century stuff should just be available in the current ESD. Not some magic "temporal vendors" arbitrarily restricted to AoY toons, the regular item, boff and manual vendors. Because why wouldn't they be?

There is no logical reason they wouldn't still be able to produce and sell old technology in the future, if there is customer demand. No logical reason your bridge officers couldn't learn skills developed in the past. And if there are 23rd century bridge officers in the 25th century (which there obviously are), it should be possible for one to get assigned to your crew the same way any other bridge officer is.
