Good lord. Not again. Almost 7 years playing the game, 30 or so toons. And he can't figure out how to get enough EC together to buy it off the exchange. I mean if he wasn't crying so much I'd actually hold his hand in game and get him there. But the "I can't do this", "I can't do that".. It would just be a waste of my time.
t-dogg, have you ever had a problem in your life that was your fault, and not someone else's fault?
Even once?
Are you serious? Do you think you're the only person who has ever been betrayed by a lover or spouse? Life is not your personal movie you star in. Life is a series of tragedies interspersed with moments of happiness, and all you can really do is make the best of your circumstances.
You can do the same thing in STO. You can take Energy Credits, and use those Energy Credits to make even more Energy Credits, and then eventually use vast sums of Energy Credits to turn it into even more ludicrous amounts of Energy Credits.
That's called making the best out of a TRIBBLE situation. That situation is the player-based economy, and Cryptic constantly ends up betraying you by making "fixes" to the economy in various ways. This isn't as bleak as it sounds, because they also inadvertantly open up doors to you while closing other ones.
You can take the reigns of your destiny and find those doors Cryptic ends up installing, and become incredibly wealthy like numerous other posters on the forums. Because they exist. @repetitiveepic knows what he's talking about a large majority of the time, and he imparts wisdom to the forums.
If people would simply take that advice to heart instead of seeing battlefield to be won, maybe they could just forget about their anger and frustration and simply be better people -- on the forums, and in game.
You can be stupidly wealthy in game with minimal effort, without even spending a dime.
I understand what you and everyone is saying but no one is understanding what I am saying cause I have been waiting for yrs for cryptic/pe to put a top tier connie in the game and what did they do make it a lock box only ship which is the most dumbest thing they ever did all they had to do is put them in the Z store so everyone can get to them not as a stupid lock box they could of pick a different ship to put into the lock box but no they had to make the connie a lock box the most dumbest thing ever done.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree. Everyone understands what you are saying- but the realization here is that Cryptic/PWE made the decision for better or worse (no relation to your RL circumstances intended) and they're not just going to pull it out of the lockbox because people don't agree with their decision.
Everyone has really given you some good feedback here, even if it's somewhat tinged with a bit of negativity, please try to keep in mind that you'll go a long way not only on the forums but also IRL by not approaching life with a really jaded view of experiences, either past or present. You'd be surprised at the "stories" people have to offer in life, yours isn't unique. There's a ton of people in this world who have been through a lot of hellish circumstances and survived them.
As far as the lockbox ship goes- the most sound advice offered here is the EC market route, sure it will take you some time, but if you really want it *that* badly, you'll do what it takes to make it happen, IMO.
Also, I personally don't hold anything you've said against you. Everyone makes "mistakes" in life, the trick is learning from them and effecting useful change from them. I have faith that everyone has the ability to redeem themselves, no one is beyond hope but it's a choice they have to make personally and put effort forth.
It's not you- it's me. I just need my space.
Being critical doesn't take skill. Being constructively critical- which is providing alternative solutions or suggestions to a demonstrated problem, however, does.
like they can't make enough profit from the Z store its still the same they would still be making money if they would of put it in the Z store instead of making them lock box only which is the dumbest bs move ever and they always still make money off the Z store why make it limited when they could of put it in the Z store and still make money for both sides
Keep on repeating tbar mantra, proving both that you have not bothered to pay attention to anything said to you, and that you do not understand that A. Cryptic is likely required to make the ship's avalability limited due to the terms of the deal with CBS & Paramount that allowed them to bring the ship in to the game. And B. They also had to make this ship priduce enough revenue to pay the fees required by Paramount for its use as well as provide some measure of profit for themselves.
further more cryptic/pe could of made a different ship as a lock box only and put the connie and the dreadnought in the Z store and still make money but no they wanted to be r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d and make the connie a lock box only

You actually make a very compelling point with the "why don't they put X item in the Z/C-Store" question.
I've often wondered with certain items why indeed myself- I agree, they could make a boatload of money with some of the items they release in-game with lockboxes. A lot of this (IMO) has to do with "exclusives" and they know fully well that although a lot of people would indeed buy them, they want to offer some players a chance to "stand apart" from the rest.
Now, that isn't to say they won't offer another solution in the future- especially with the KT series of movies and releases, Beyond and future releases included. Perhaps there will be other "flavors" available- we never know. (only PWE/C does)
It's not you- it's me. I just need my space.
Being critical doesn't take skill. Being constructively critical- which is providing alternative solutions or suggestions to a demonstrated problem, however, does.
It Wasn't Their Choice. There are many ships that they are required NOT to put in the zen store by the terms of the license from CBS, since these Kelvin ships required additional negotiation with Paramount, who OWNS them, it is quite easy to see this was a move they had to make or they weren't getting the ship.
So this was a "giveaway" versus "resale" of IP decision, IOW.

ok so since you know this or what not let me guess your in their ear or something or how do you know this isn't just one of cryptic/pe's way of making profit cause in all reality they never had any issues putting ships into the Z store that were cannon and non cannon but all of a sudden here come the connie they magically can't put a iconic ship into the game but only stage one ship but for a T6 connie nooo they want to make that a lock box no matter what they still make money therefore they could of said no we can put it in the Z store still make money for both companies and satisfy CBS and Paramount .

so all I get is a pos T1 connie and yet the T6 connie is a lock box its bs and its stupid that they do this I have been waiting yrs for a top tier connie only to be put into a stupid lock box and all I get is a pos T1 connie from the beginning story I had that thing since day one
its an exotic ship, its not a normal federation ship. it would be like putting voth ships in the c-store, its not how the game is run, its not how its ever been run.

lol Just put your money into keys, sell them and quit whining.
The T6 Connie is in a lockbox because it belongs in another universe. Logically, 25th Century Starfleet Officers from the STO Universe have absolutely no right to command the T6 Connie just like they have no right to command Hirogen, Undine, Tholian, Breen, Jem'Hadar, and a bunch of other ships.
Now if a T6 TOS Connie was put in a lockbox, then it would be a huge slap in the face to players. Although, I half expect that to become available in September for the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek. We already have Tier 6 23rd Century ships flying around so the excuse that an endgame TOS Constitution is too old no longer is acceptable.
I know that I have been a long time trekie fan since I was kid and now cryptic/pe finally bring out a T6 connie and everything else but to put it into a lock box only ship is a huge slap in the face to the player base but most of all trekie fans like myself its the most dumbest thing that cryptic/pe has ever done they should of made it available to everyone in the Z store not a d.a.m.n. lock box where you have no chance of getting one and don't say go get one from the exchange cause the exchange is full of bs I have been selling doffs been selling and crafting and redoing missions after missions and I can only muster up in a span of 4 to 5 hours worth of playing 5 mill at best no way in h.e.l.l. I can come up with 300 mill plus this is why ships like this one specially this one and the kelvin dreadnought should have been in the Z store that way everyone could have access to them and have one.
But leave it to crytic/PE to put them in lock boxes so that only a certain few can get them and or elite players to get them it brings dishonor to the actors who died and the ones who ever stared in the star trek series .

If there's ever a ToS Connie or something similar, you'd better prepare yourself for it being in a lockbox. Cryptic has "bent" history a little by putting the ships they did in the Kelvin lockbox. Used to be, no "faction" specific ships would go into lockboxes. Now, we hear people justifying the move by saying it's only "exotic" ships that go in lockboxes, or that it's due to licensing issues etc. Used to also be, STO couldn't have a connie in the game. If anything, recent past has shown that things change and there are no "rules".

Eew. And TMI (not necessarily in that particular order).
Seriously, though, complaining about lockbox 'luck' should become a F.C.T. Honestly, these threads never end well.
