Well this thread will be closed. You can quote me on that!
It doesn't need to be closed! It needs a few players to engage in a mature exchange and come to see reason, and make amends- showing the mind set of true trek fans. And then this thread can serve as a teaching example for how we can resolve our differences, no matter what the challenge.
The reason the Kelvinprise is a lockbox ship is because CBS does not want everyone flying around in Kelvin timeline ships in a prime timeline setting.
You're going to need to cite some official source for that claim. Otherwise, it's way too speculative and in the face of the ship actually existing, the Vengeance being in the Lobi store, and them giving away free Kelvin Admiral Uniforms, I'd say CBS is a-OK with the Kelvin content being in this game's version of a "prime" timeline.
Snoggymack22 thank you for being helpful and engaging in a healthy courteous MATURE manner with this fellow player.
If I had Mod powers nobody would have spoken to me the way they did, spitting venom and insults at me because they disliked the fact that I called them out on their deplorable attitudes in this thread.
As for the person who keeps saying that the OP is "wasting everyone's time", may I kindly remind you that YOU do not have to SPEND YOUR TIME READING THIS- if you don't want to. No post here is a waste of time unless it is malicious in it's intent.
I read the OP's first message and some subsequent messages he posted here, and he is simply excited about his favorite ship, and obviously has a lifestyle that doesn't make it easy for him to obtain it. Simple as that. The ATTACKERS here who adopt mob mentality and gang up on me for stepping in and standing up for him, want to justify their attacks via trying to paint me in to some "holier than thou" personality, and turn the OP, tr77-whatever, in to a begger/pitty partier- but don't think you have me fooled. I am not holier than thou, I simply want to keep the message boards on my favorite game friendly and clean, as I want to invite and welcome all players, new & old.
Infinite Diversity in Infinite combo's means to embrace and accept everyone and everything with an open mind.
You're acting like Klingons!
I'm very disappointed with the attitudes of a few attackers here and if you keep this up you will be reported. You're on notice.
Just get over your ego's and stop the attacking and try to see my intentions here: LOOK AT HIS POST, It's not attacking anyone. He is a bit frustrated that the T6 Connie isn't as easy to obtain as many of the other ships are. He posted here in the hopes of cryptic seeing, as our feedback on the boards does make a difference!
You don't have to get angry at him.
End rant.
PS: I care about y'all and want you all to have a good experience. I've invested a lot of money in to this game and I have been with it since pre-launch.
You really should stop trying this backseat modding rubbish.
I broke down and sold a ton of R&D materials and components I was collecting and hoarding. Got almost 200 mil EC for it all. Then I had a little over 1 mil dilithium I was hoarding and traded that for 24 keys, then sold them in the exchange.
Got enough to get the T6 connie and the uniform. I also picked up the 2 consoles in the exchange that are part of the set, but I need the Vengeance to get the final console (that's gonna be a while).
I'm completely broke since I haven't been starting doff/admirality assignments once a day on my 15 alts.
But it was worth it. Where there's a will, there's a way.
This is what I started with after selling my R&D stuff:
I got a T6 connie without opening any lock boxes and without spending any real money for it. (I do spend real money on the game though, but that's to buy stuff from the c-store)
To be fair, forum join dates are not connected to when you started playing, and have been broken for years on top of that.
Yes, I realize that...especially since my forum join date isn't when I started playing either...but he claimed that he had this forum account since day 1. And i though the broken date issues was just some people having the date of the forum migration...which his date is not.
When it comes to things like forum join dates and having alt forum accounts, people typically use "day 1" to refer to the day the first joined the forum. Not something else like the game itself. As much as the guy is "out there", a few of you have started picking out things and reading them how you want to.
For example, calling a guy a liar by assuming his level of income, health, life circumstances etc is exactly the same as it was when he bought his life time membership way back at the start of the game, is a bit unfair.
I just did what everyone told me to do sell some keys well I sold 5 that I only could get from my monthly 500 Zen I had a little Zen left over from last month to get the 5 keys and I sold them and all I get is 30 mill+ EC I should of sold it as a 5 pack at 300 mill EC but no someone told me I can't do that and said no one will buy them like that smdh now I have to wait for next month for another 4 to 5 keys and no I can't spend money to buy more Zen for keys I tried I did tried
Listen OP, we appreciate your service believe me, but i think you missed what druk et all are trying to say. We get youre pissed that the connie is in a lockbox. 100% understand how you feel. However, nothings going to change the decisions that have been made. Nobody was trying to put you down, i get your circumstances, but you really need to take a step back, calm down, and read the responses youve gotten objectively. You can get one without spending a real penny if needs be. Sell doffs, sell R+D mats (admiraly practically rains z-particles these days), and just be patient. Flip stuff on the exchange once ylu have a little stockpile going and If you save up about 150-200mil doing that (might seem like a lot but trust me, its really easy to get to), and wait a couple months, you will be able to easily get one. Once you get to 50-100, raising more gets exponentially easier.

Now you're off to a real good solid start. You sold 5 keys, got 30 million. You need to wait for your zen stipend until next month. So spend the next month doing activities to raise your current levels of EC and Dilithium. When you get enough Dilithium to buy enough zen to buy a key, sell the dilithium on the dilithium exchange for zen. And then get the zen and buy another key. And sell that key for EC. Keep getting as much EC as you can in-game. And you'll get there. You're already 1/10th of the way there!
Since comments can teach, here's it how I got my T6 Constitution.
After saving a ton of Dilithium, I converted it to Zen and bought 50 keys to open 50 Kelvin lock boxes. What a total waste. Literally nothing of value in 50 boxes but Lobi.
Exhausted of Dilithium and Zen, I decided to use some of those Fleet Credits I'd been saving up and bought several dozen Very Rare Engineering Doffs from my Fleet Personnel officer. That did the trick. Selling them on the exchange I quickly earned the 292 million I paid to get the ship. Those Damage Control Engineers alone earned ~8 million apiece.
And it's a pretty awesome ship with the best bridge available so far. Not to mention the Temporal Science BOFF and another Command BOFF slot. With my Temporal character, her Ultra rare type 2 phaser and era uniform, it's like a new game.

1) The longer you wait, the cheaper the t6 connie will get
2) Complaining wont get you one, only working.
3) its your responsibility to get yourself one, not anyone else's at all
Agreed. I admit I was pretty dang miffed they put a T6 connie in a lock box, but I didn't start a rant thread about it.
But, I managed to take what I had hoarded in the game, and with a little patience, I now have it.
So, how many threads are the mods going to allow him to start on the same topic before they kick him out?
My dad was in the service for 21 years. He was married to my mom for almost 60 years before she passed away. He's in his 80s now with a new wife and enjoying his life. He does not in any way act the entitled, snot-nosed bratty whiner that the OP has been acting.
If he acted like this with his wife while they were married I can understand why she felt the need to look elsewhere. I don't have money either. My LTS was a gift from someone who could afford it and got it for me because she wanted it for me, not because I asked or implied in any way that I wanted someone else to buy it for me.
I most especially don't act all entitled and 'gimme, gimme' for things. That the JJPrise was put in a lockbox was not a surprise. I don't want one, but I don't think it's right to disrespect those who do want and get them. People are entitled to whatever they want, but they shouldn't expect for it to be handed to them.
I, like Druk, have a hard time believing the OP. I do believe he's likely a Vet on VA and he's divorced and paying child support/alimony. The rest? Pure chicken fertilizer. If he's too poor to buy zen to buy keys to sell then he'll be too poor to buy the JJPrise if it was in the c-store.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.

If we take him at his word that he is suffering from PTSD, this game issue may be triggering him (the confrontation or the frustration, not the game itself). I suffer from PTSD myself, 22 years in the Army also as an 11B. Aggressive behavior is a common outcome from being triggered.
Give the OP a break, if you have nothing constructive to add please don't keep confronting him, it wont do either of you any good at all.

All that dil is someone elses problem now.

That's remarkably similar to the advice the Gza offers in the Wu-Tang Financial commercial that aired many ages ago on the Chapelle Show.
