Kar'fi, mainly so they'll give it another look and finally fix the disappearing hull issue. (But also because the KDF needs a T6 carrier, seeing as how carriers were a KDF thing to begin with.)

Since Cryptic doesn't have the time/will to invest in a Klingon ship design, I say allow the modding community to design the new Klingon ship, and have the players choose from the submitted designs. I'm not saying that modders could do it better, but they will have the time and passion to devote to the project that perhaps Cryptic lacks.

I like the idea of a design your own kdf ship/carrier, but would rather see it be based around choice on a whole. So let the Kdf population choose if they wanted a Orion, Naussican, or Gorn design, while also what kind of ship from a cruiser to a bop or raider an even a carrier.
I like the way you're going with this, although I'd make the list a lot longer. The Jupiter thing had 8 options, so... Orion, Gorn, Nausicaan, Lethean, Ferasan, maybe a Fek design and a few Klingon designs.
EDIT: For those that want a Hegh'ta, can't that skin just be used on the B'rel?
Nope, the Hegh'ta is not related to the B'rel/Koloth/B'Rothlh/Kor line of BoPs. Though with there only being T5 version it is hard to say exactly how a T6 version of the Hegh'ta would look like stat-wise other then a bit slower turning and tougher.
ETA: There are 6 "Families" of BoP, 5 of which have T5 variants.
B'Rel/Koloth - B'Rotlh - B'Rel Retrofit(T5&Fleet) - Kor(T6&Fleet)
QulDun - Qaw'Dun
Norgh - Ning'tao - Norgh Retrofit(T5Fleet only)
Ki'tang - Ch'tang - Ki'tang Retrofit(T5)
Hegh'ta/Haj(T5)
Hoh'Sus(T5&Fleet)
We could have a BoP for every specialization if Cryptic felt like it.

Yes, and I think that would probably be sufficient. Though they could still experiment a bit with the seatings. Say, replace one Lt.Cmdr with a Lt. slot and 2 Ensigns, or something like that.
Maybe give one ship Phase Cloak? Maybe give one of them a 5/2 layout. Maybe make one of them a full spec ship. "Intel Raider" would for example be very interesting.

Oh no I meant you get the first selection of what race in the KDF faction for instance you want the ship to be from. Than you would have designs based off that race's design style, and a choice of several different layouts too based on what we want. Though i could easily see it done in a way of having one design from each of the races in the KDF as well as some unique alien race version an a Ferasan design too (I would honestly want more of a battle-carrier over a carrier like the fed got for ai ferasan).
Though might sound weird I almost would not mind just seeing one carrier done with us choosing things like what kind of focus, lay0out, and unique hanger-pet it has. Yet than we get several parts that are each designed with one of the main race's of the KDF' style behind it from the Klingon to the Orion or Ferasan, which would show/give players that enjoy specific race several looks to use on the carrier.
Well... cruisers typically get the Command seating these days. And thanks to Star Trek Insurrection, Pilot seating on a Sovereign is plausible because of the part where Riker manually pilots the Enterprise.

I have to admit that part of why I suggested it was I would like to see what race of ship would actually be most popular. :P Does the playerbase REALLY want yet another Klingon ship? I personally have a general dislike for Klingon design aesthetics, which is why I like stuff like the Kolasi.

I agree and I mean when you look at the KDF they do have alot of klink designs compared to the orion/gorn/Naussican designs, just that the other races in the KDF seems to be where they get the none bop/battle-cruiser designs from. It might be skewed as said we have so few of other designs in the KDF from the other races in it, but it would be interesting to see what a Orion or gorn would make design wise an style wise for a bop. I would rather see a new Fek ship come from a set of missions or rep designed around dealing with them and their storyline though.
Yeah, it's always been super-weird that there is a Fek'lhri ship in the z-store... they're ENEMIES... literally bioengineered warriors bred to annihilate the KDF... Why are we using their tech?

Yeah yet in the lore/history the Klingons did gain their warp drive tech after over throwing the Hur'q, and then using this technology to lead up into space travel. So there is a history of them using the technology an adapting it to their uses if the tech is better than their own. Yet another thing is that the Fek were said to be legend from their myths, but here they are an with tech on par or greater than the KDF, but also with hints that the Hur'q might have created the Fek. I can see why the KDF would want to use an look thru the technology of such a race of beings, while seeking to find out if this was merely something left by the Hur'q or recently created by them.
Now this would be part of something I would love to see a KDF oriented story-line based around the KDF seeking out other Fek that might be hiding in the galaxy, and then dealing with a possible incursion/return of the Hur'q into this quad again.
in all seriousness, the Hegh'ta stands out as the single BoP which could assume multiple specific roles, such as Intel/Sci, Pilot/Tac, or Command/Eng. It has a crew 3 times the size of any other BoP, and it is both the newest designed and largest of the BoP, making it ideal for the incorporation of new technology developed or found during the recent galactic events.
On the other hand, I have since I first logged into STO wanted a T6 Pakled Trader.
The Pakled Trader is unique in that it has no penalty for firing a variety of energy types simultaneously, and a ship built with no two energy weapons of the same energy type gains a bonus. Pakled ships ignore the requirements of facing, and are allowed to install Mine Launchers in the forward weapons slots and Dual Heavy Cannons in the aft weapons slots.
Beware the T6 trait: Kidnapper! (4 minute cooldown)
When activated against an enemy whose shield is down on the arc facing the Pakled Freighter, one of the target ship's active BOffs is 'kidnapped' by the Pakled ship and forced to help the Pakled crew. (No actual BOff transfer takes place.) For the duration of a single power's cycle, the powers of one random BOff is greyed out on the owner's ship, and one of the randomly greyed out abilities is made available to the Pakled's player, who may choose to use the power or allow it to expire. Once the power's active time and cooldown have run their courses, the BOff becomes active once again for his owner.
I would love to see something like a trait for a raider/escort that is based around buffing more of a hit and run tactic style, such as below.
Trait: Hit and run synergy
Description: This trait causes your rear weapon hits/firing to stack a buff that improves your weapon output damage (either all weapons or only forward) so long as either your rear weapons are the only weapons firing on a target or you have no target's in your forward weapon arc. This could be nice as a way of making more of a hit an run or strafing combat style useful an interesting, while improving the viability of that style.I could see this going as gaining 1-2% damage per second or two you have only your rear weapons hitting or firing on a target, and then once your foreward weapons are firing the buff will begin to decay till your rear weapons are once more the only weapon hitting a target or you have no targets in your foreward weapon arc.

that and her variant.
All KDF just none that is a BOP style. I stepped in to the other races for ships. They could probably still use some tweaking. But ehh they're still there.
