Our Crystalline Entity event is coming back! Captains will be able to queue up to defeat the Crystalline Entity and earn tons of rewards in the process!

    I'll go ahead and ask the expected question (though I don't expect any results): Any chance of rewards from events like this becoming account unlocks?

    Is there a Chance, that the Special Queues items (like the console, cristaline torpedo from before and others...) will be account unlock?
    (And if the continuos questions about that are bother and whiny .... well... lets call it client pressure :p )

    Whiny or not, I'll add my voice to the "make these types of rewards account unlocks" crowd.

    I don't expect the Dilithium or mark bonuses to be unlocked, but getting the Console would be nice for future alts who will likely get made when a certain expansion goes live in a few months. While they may be time travelers, these new characters cannot get these items.

    Finally i can finish the mirror event. Was 5 days short for that one.

    If the new console for space is as effective as the module for ground it promises to be very useful.

    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    The console is kind of meh for me, but this is my favourite event!

    Exactly my thoughts, my (potential) TOS/Temporal Recruit characters will be out of luck for this console, just like my Delta Recruit missed out on the Crystalline Torpedo. :'(

    It's not that I don't have the time or willingness to slog through the mission, but due to how these events are run in relation to other events/expansions some characters will be out of luck even if the player making the characters has the time to run through the mission when they are active.

    Another request to please make just the console an account-wide unlock (of course the dil and marks would not be).

    Making the older event shinies like the torpedo account-wide would also be much appreciated.

    Sad to see that we've still not introduced account unlocks for the unique rewards from these events. When I saw the "Brand new" part down near the bottom I actually had a moment of "oh, we're going to start getting it with a single run for alts, at least that'd be progress" then I realised you guys have just used the same old dev blog and the "Brand new" part is what we've had for the last dozen events.

    Think I'll give it a miss this time, I tire of character unlocks. Especially so close to an event which is going to be based on making new characters who will never get access to these things.     ​​
    Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
    True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

    Can you confirm or deny this is the case?
    Can the tokens for the CE event be used to fill out older (in my case MU event) projects?

    The reward seems nice. I will also add my voice and roar as loudly as I can MAKE THESE REWARDS ACCOUNT UNLOCKS

    All these types of events use a different type of gadget to complete them.

    Mirror Invasion has the Multidimensional Transporter Device.

    Crystalline Catastrophe has Crystal Shard.

    Into the Breach has Voth Operative Transmission.

    They are not interchangeable and I doubt they ever will be.

    You don't even need to include the Dil bonuses or marks; just the reward item itself. Still don't get why it isn't possible.

    CC is pretty fast. It's usually less than 5 minutes par character.

    The dil and marks are very useful. The other reward not so much. And I see no issue for it becoming account wide. If it was costume or flyable ship I'd understand. But this is a gimmick. I play Crystalline Entity all the time so getting it for my existing characters shouldn't be a problem.

    Roughly 15 minutes for 3 toons... 14 days out of 21...
    Not that diffucult, really... now, if you are one of those alt-o-holics with 30+ toons...

    If you create a TOS AOY captain they can never get it without an account unlock.

    I have a MU themed captain that I created after the last Mirror event. As it stands, he can never use the Terran MU agony rifle.

    How about you unlock the reward for your account once you play it with a Fed and a Klingon?? (no Romulans, as is a mini-faction), so, two mains, unlock for account :smiley:

    Well I have the same problem with my mirror ody/jup uniforms. But I realised that it won't be changed.
