Okay. So I have never gotten to go to one of these conventions. But why would they put an announcement on the guest pass? And said pass shows signs of coming out of a black & white laser printer? I have gone to a comic convention and those passes were laminated cards.
So logic tells me that, disappointingly, is a fake.

One can only dream. T6 Connie = $$$$$
Then again, they're already going to make a ton of $ once they release to consoles.
I don't know why you'd say that. This game will look fiercely dated on the next gen platforms. It'll draw in some coin but this is far from a new golden age about to dawn.
Most we can hope for out of it is the Cryptic store gets a serious spring cleaning and re-pricing because the prices they charge here will go over like a lead balloon on the consoles. $30 a ship is comedic madness when you're getting entire new games twice a month for $60 (and selling them back as soon as you finish them...).

You must have missed the part of the announcement where they said they recoded the UI, the HUD, and the graphical back end. We'll get to see what that means for PCs this fall, too.
I had missed that, so it'll be interesting to see how that goes . As for seeing console-based changes reflected here, no surprise - the new consoles are fairly close to being mini-PCs. I had assumed it was the relative compatibility that put this move on the radar at all.
Edit: I've watched the trailer/read the blurb now. Yes, the lighting tech is nice and the UI revamp can only help as it's frequently the place the finger points for some of the game's frame rate issues. None of that changes that the assets themselves are a bit on the low side for modern poly counts. Don't get me wrong - I'm looking forward to any updates they give us, but don't think for one second the console population is going to blithely accept that "the game's 6 years old" as an excuse for visibly jaggy hull curves and surface maps that are barbaric compared to what they're used to.
It'll be a good thing for the game, I think. But its not a magic bullet for the problems that plague it even now.
I can't wait to see the new generation of complaints for how much more stuff the PC folk have that's forever out of their reach because of exclusives. Or the equivalent complaints here when those assets ARE re-released in new Console-only events. If you think the complaints of inequality between in-game factions get bitter...
I have a friend who plays an MMOish game on the Xbox One, can't remember the name right now, but he gave me a look at the cash store for that game, the prices in STO are less than half of that game's prices. The smallest purchase option I saw was 70 dollars.
What game is that? I'd compare a new ship here to a portion of a new character/class in other games. DLC comes in all shapes and sizes, so I'd like to compare apples to at least other fruit, if not actual apples...
im calling it as bogus as well, there is no official stamps, confirmation, no serial codes, no nothing to identify it as genuine, in addition it was clearly printed from a printer with ink marks on the page and further it looks fairly amateurish to the point i could of done such a thing, also notice the page number at the bottom, "11". it must of been created, protocopied and then printed a lot of time.
this is scraping the barrel to the point metal shaving are starting to come up...
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
What do the sceptics on these Forums say when someone makes an assertion about something - 'Picture or it didn't happen'. Well those chickens came home to roost.
We need someone who examined the Zapruder film to forensically analyze this.
Or we can wait a few weeks for a reality check.

Isnt the convention in Germany? If this was legitimate, wouldnt there at least be some small part of the document that had some German on it, for the locals?

So it seems the console announcement WAS the so-called "exclusive" (can't really be exclusive when its announced online the day before but whatever ...)

Gonna have to go with my gut telling me that's 100% bogus

For me it is "I want to believe it is a fake".
Either one would IMO be a horrible addition.
