If you go back into the room after dealing with the assassin you see the only one who isn't moving is the Tellarite.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
it saddens me that there's no "House Duras" option.... After all their past stupidity the house of Duras has been one of the, at least for path to 2409, more honorable Houses....
Now.... I honestly can't remember how the new Klingon Tutorial plays out but the old tutorial had us doing the Safety Dance around several houses, Duras included....
Romulan Star agents planting bombs int he Ketha lowlands? Old story goes on and on about it being house Duras....
Forcas III? in the old storyline it was House Duras that killed the heir to House Martok... We had the romulan disruptor to prove it.
Then somehow it was House Torg that comes after us after getting our first new ship..... SOMEHOW......
We don't want what the Feds have. We want the equivalent. We want fairer treatment. Concern, desire, greed to some extent, and passionate belief that the enough people would buy KDF items to make it worth Cryptic's while.
Although J'mpok probably is not dead - I think that a doppelganger was poisoned , the chancellor should become Ja'rod , the coolest Klingon , or anyone else from the House of Duras (like me).
Worf is impotent blunderer and sucks milk from the Federation's breast, no surprise he has denied access to the Great hall (where romulan ambassador laughing). No one likes him (except Feddybears)
Worf's the only Klingon in the entire game who actually deserves it. More honor in his pinkie than the entire KDF put together.

they just got rid of Kahless tho! Another Targ so soon.....
Kahless wasn't a real Targ any more. He was all fancy and politic, has been ages since he shared a mud bath with the rest of us
^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^
"No. Men do not roar. Women roar. Then they hurl heavy objects... and claw at you." -Worf, son of Mogh
"A filthy, mangy beast, but in its bony breast beat the heart of a warrior" - "faithful" (...) "but ever-ready to follow the call of the wild." - Martok, about a Targ
"That pig smelled horrid. A sweet-sour, extremely pungent odor. I showered and showered, and it took me a week to get rid of it!" - Robert Justman, appreciating Emmy-Lou
I think Captain Kagran would be a worthy chancellor, at least he seems to be one of the few reasonable Klingons i've seen in STO. But i'm sure some corrupted drunkard will take the place as new chancellor.

Funny, I can see the Chancellor now, decked out in all his finery...
...rolling around in mud like a toddler in a bathtub . With a little rubber ducky.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Is he really dead? The story didn't elaborate, so I assume he lives.
I ran the mission first as a KDF, and was shocked that at the end of the episode, and was certainly worried about our Chancellor's condition!
After all, this was the great warrior who in 2393, while meeting at the Great Hall, slew Martok and assumed control of the Empire. Without him the Gorn would not have been brought under the banner of the Empire!
While I certainly knew it would take more then a cowards poison to bring down such a hero of the Empire, I was relieved that during the episode debrief, J'mpok was still the POC I was speaking with.
He certainly seemed alive, though there was no mention of his recovery, or even mention of his inconvenience with poison, etc.
I figure this is due to a few options:
One: Whoever creates the dialog for the end of the episode, didn't read the episode plot about J'mpok. [CRYPTIC!!!]
Two: By traveling to 29th century, we stopped the individuals who were going to travel back and attempt the assassination! (But then, why did we to travel to 29th century in the first place? Darn Temporal Mechanics!)
Three: He's just that tough that he didn't even think being poisoned was worth mentioning. (And didn't want to thank the wonders of Federation medicine.)
Since then, I have been told that the person who was poisoned was not J'mpok! Apparently he has a similar outfit, but doesn't have any of the facial scarring, etc. I haven't re-run it yet this week, but I'll certainly be watching closely to see if his face details look like J'mpok.

Uhhh...are you talking about the same idiotic Kagran that nearly lead us to defeat in the Iconian War?
I think I'd rather have the corrupted drunkard thank you very much.
Yeah, realistically, I suspect we'll find reports of J'mpok's death have been greatly exaggerated (and apologies if that joke's been made in this thread already). My dream answer? A temporal incursion removing Martok's death from the timeline and putting him back in charge. Given the recent release of a Martok-class cruiser, that seems very unlikely. Also, if it was something Cryptic/Hertzler wanted to do, it probably would've been that way from the beginning.
Not the first time a cutscene model is different from the in-game model. Have you guys ever looked carefully at Jarok's coat in-game and then in cutscenes?
Annoying, but unfortunately, not the last we'll see this.
Another thing that annoys me in the cutscene where J'mpok is poisoned is "where do these temporal agents in 29th century outfits come from and where are they before and after the cutscene?".
Oh and how if you look closely you will find two copies of Tiaru Jarok at the table, at two different places. And why were there 29th century officers anyway?
S'taass does say the word 'chancellor' but I don't remember if she actually said that it was J'mpok who was poisoned or that she was talking to chancellor J'mpok.
I think she said 'Chancellor!' (after noticing that the person who has to be J'mpok then falls down to the floor) and then continues to accuse Jarok. I doubt S'taass would say 'chancellor' just to get J'mpok's attention if it wasn't him who was being poisoned. That would be unnecessary as the room wasn't that big and basically everyone must have been facing the poisoned Klingon who I assume to be J'mpok for this reason.
I'd have to play the episode again as I don't exactly remember what she says, but I think S'taass' lines contain enough information.
Wait S'taass is now female? I thought S'taass was male. If this is indeed true, I suppose it is interesting to know the Klingon Empire doesn't mind sex changes .
If they could clone Khaless to be emperor. I say clone Gowron!
Clone Gowron? Then we would all have to constantly get mission debriefs from our favourite large-eyed creepy Klingon XD
Seriously look at him in TNG. He was a Creepy Klingon! XD

Human women pay good money for that privilege if someone tells them the mud is 'special' so why not Emperors? Also don't forget his prune juice.

The end-of-mission thing mentioned her "valiant sacrafice" so either she is crippled or really crippled (as in dead)
