Ok really, what TV show/ movie would make a great MMO?

Ok I vote for the following 3.

1. TRON - This one could work as a MMO big time, and if Disney isn't going to do a new movie, then work on an MMO. And make it start years later after the last movie. Introduce the grid to the internet world, and it's a win/ win for a new MMO world game, with endless chooses and possibilities.

2. Vikings - Be you on the side of the Ragnar Lothbrok of the Vikings, early England or early France. Enjoy raids, plunder, or help to beat back the invaders. When not off fighting in the seasonal battles, do tons of local jobs or just be social. at the end of the day, this would be a great MMO, if you do it right.

3. HEROS - A different spin on the Superheroes/ Villains it's not Dc or Marvel, but you can still have your powers. Make it sandbox and open world. It's a winner.

    I can see Pokémon as a very good MMO. Go out and capture your Pokémon, from common to super rare, and not that easy to gain. Once you have your Pokémon, then you train them. You can boost them with items, or with the types of food you feed them. Then take them to league events. I can see this working.

    Thundarr the Barbarian. It has a setting with all sorts of weird stuff to fight, and it has in-universe concepts akin to character classes and clearly defined races. :)

    Days of Our Lives / General Hospital / As the Stomach Churns / whatever still lives on in afternoon "soap opera" land...

    Oh wait, that one's been released already. Facebook...

    "Debate" shows.

    And that's been released as "forum PvP"...

    So that leaves anything with significant enough amounts of "combat" in it, if you want a "traditional" MMO...

    I nominate 2/3rds of the Japanese Anime World... :tongue:

    There are a couple, but they are all fan games and:

    a) subject to Nintendo closing them down at any minute and
    b) don't go as far as I'd like to see a pokemon MMO go

    When I think pokemon mmo, I envision being able to start in any region, all pokemon being brought into balance with each other (at least stat wise), some form of crafting system, and an additional, alternate fighting system for traditional mmo group content (classic pokemon battle system would still be in place for trainer battles, pvp, gyms, etc). But since it's owned by a console company, and is primarily a hand held game, I accepted a long time ago that this will probably never happen.

    The Pokémon games have been steadily adding more and more multiplayer, but the core thing it lacks is a centralized game server to hold the in game world. Except for the global trade server, it's all peer-to-peer.

    But yeah, I've always wondered what it'd be like to have a fully multiplayer version.

    I would LOVE to be able to travel to other regions like we could in Gold/Silver. I'd probably end up starting in either Hoenn or Unova. lol

    I would say High School DXD would be an awesome MMO, but if the OP don't mind on the contrary, Legacy Of Kain would be an awesome movie, "if" the storyline is not changed by anyone.

    Beat me to it, me and a few friends have been booting this idea around for a while. Even written down a few ideas; Might just pitch them at Jared.

    Strangely enough I'm not really a Monster/Vampire/Ghost movie/series fan, but friend showed me this a couple of years ago and the humour just slayed me.

    Yeah, Ruby and Sapphire had a lot of my favorite stuff. I had a Linoone at level 70 just from sending it to steal so much stuff. It had 56pp for Covet and I used every last one of them. :p I'd steal something then KO whatever I stole from. It took a long time to get him up to 70, but I got soooo much loot that way.

    Highlander has two core problems that need to be solved to make a game. Who are the characters? Who are the enemies? Immortals like Duncan McLeod are not a dime a dozen, so they'd need to be reserved for bosses really. Yes there have been 347 of them shown already... List on wikia. BUT, for an MMO there would likely be thousands of players, but more importantly how many random mooks will each of those players wipe out while playing the game? I figure you could probably waste 347 enemies in a week of game play. Some characters were said to have slain hundreds of other immortals, but that was over a period of centuries or millennia.

    And then there's the issue of how to adapt the Game. Yeah, the nature of the Game seems to lend itself to a MOBA and not an MMO.

    Well... Klepto had the ability to pick up random items while you're walking so... the name fit. I don't typically nickname my Pokemon as most of the time I can't think of one that fits. I have named a Groudon Godzilla and a Dustox Mothra.

    Yeah, mine too. Usually junk but.... Starting with Emerald the data table changes based on your Pokémon's level. which is part of why I had a level 70 Linoone. Linoone was the only fully evolved Pokémon with pickup in RSE. DPP added Ambipom, but I liked Linoone better, Ambipom had to be bred to get covet.... easiest if using Linoone. :p It wasn't until XY that they added more fully evolved Pokémon that could have it. Hmmm Gourgeist looks like a fun Pokémon though. :)
