I should be done tonight. I finished the event yesterday for my 4 Fed / Fed aligned Rom captains. Tonight I will finish the event for my 5 KDF / KDF aligned Rom captains. Took a bit of a break from the event over the weekend to focus on crafting and upgrading gear.
Only one failed run when for some reason 3 players dropped out of the mission when we got to the dreadnought. Kinda odd since we made quick work of the ships in the hanger bay. Maybe they all go disconnected? The remaining player and I decided to leave the mission rather than continuing since it would be faster to simply start from the beginning again. I was back in another Breach instance in less than 1 minute.
No AFK'ers either. Well... there was almost one, but after I told him (or her) to Fight or Leave the player closed the distance (around 75km away) and joined the rest of us to fight.

Makes me wonder about what distance has to do with being an AFKer. The "Trench Run" is probably the most uninteresting part of the Breach for me as my ships just aren't built for it and following the team as they FAW all the hard points just doesn't do it for me. So I just circle 'round at the beginning of the trench and take out respawned hard points. I regret not being there for the added firepower at the choke points, but even those are typically knocked out in less than a minute and my contribution would be minor. Makes for a pretty huge distance gap between me and the lemmings at the start of the match, but once inside that's where my builds can actually do something. So even if Cryptic had a decent AFK penalty system (yeah - not holding my breath on that one) it probably wouldn't detect the likes of me.

Not that I support AFKers in general, but I have to say I totally don't mind people sitting out the trench run in this mission so long as they join in for the interior. I only run it with beam FAW and high engine speed because of the trench run and I know that if you're not up in the front two you're probably not actually doing anything except flying which is pretty tedious especially if you're doing it on more than one character. I do get annoyed with people who don't participate once we're inside though, that's just taking the biscuit.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

Not tedious per se, just very, very uninteresting. At least I'm doing something with the respawned hard points instead of mindlessly following you guys who have builds that shine at the first stage.
So, I am now unable to get the admiralty ship bc I failed to finish having missed getting the last 2 Voth Operative Transmissions. Two more days and I could have had it. Is there going to be another event that uses the VOTs? Or should I just cancel the "Into the Breach" event that I have queued? I would like an answer from an admin or someone that has a link to an official statement regarding the issue. For that matter, what about the Crystal Shards and the Multidimensional Transporter Devices? Am I fated never to complete these events that I almost (but didn't) finish?

No one knows when or if these events will repeat, though the Mirror and Crystalline ones have repeated 1-2 times a year in the past.
No one knows whether you'll be able to complete old projects with new marks. Cryptic allowed that in the past, but partly to make amends for starting their "items are exclusive now" direction. So maybe, maybe not.
Of course if you delete your projects there is then a 100% chance that you get nothing. So deleting them seems unwise.

Yeah, a dev I messaged didn't yet know if these currencies are still portable as in the past. I am not deleting them just yet. I want to wait for an official answer first. However, there are only so many slots in the Events window, and I have 1 for the Mirror Universe Agony Rifle, 1 for the Crystalline Spike Kit Module, and this one for the Tanius. All 3 of which I do not have on any character. This leaves only 2 slots left to queue events with, so I can't keep trying to play catch-up forever. Would be nice to have clear answer on this.
I said it ones ill say it agen. For those of you ho think you privlilaged to have time added to the event, your seriesly wrong. 14 days plus 7 day. thats one hole weak extra, to get it done. that means when you'r done you could get 7 days of extra dill, fleet marks, and rep marks. So don't demaned extra time when there was more then enough time clearly stated. and its your fault if you waited till the last moment when the server is down like clock work every thursday at the same time, it may be down longer some times, but it always starts at 6 am PST. plus every event is anounced ahead of time so check the forums every day, it takes like 5 seconds.
Finished the event. Have to say it was nice going back to this stf. Did it on only on one char since doing multiple is too much of a pain in the TRIBBLE. Hopefully they do the same thing with this type of rewards as they did with event ships and make them account unlocks.
To participate and earn Voth Operative Transmissions, queue up for either the Normal or Advanced version of the event
So according to the announcement there's two versions of this? I hadn't noticed that until now. How do you queue up for different versions and is there any advantage to doing so?
The Advanced Version is down in the list with the regular listing of Queues. They order them alphabetically, the 'The' does count. The Advanced Version is harder as the enemies are stronger. I believe if your Team completes it with the Optionals you will get about 25 more Marks and, 720 instead of 480 Dilitium. You will also get one Dyson 'Elite Mark', a Voth Cybernetic Implant.
By the way you posted to the notice for the old Breech Event, the last post to that was over a year ago. You are not supposed to post to a Thread where the last post is more than 30 days ago.
I hope this answers your question.

Oops. I had just did a google for 'The Breach STO" and got that announcement. Didn't realize it was an old news post. Thanks for the info all the same.
I thought this was going to be the last grind until the Summer event so I could take a much needed break from STO. Seems they added another shiny to the weekend event store in Tribble. Let the never-ending grind continue into its 7th consecutive month.
I just have 8 marks for it so far and it ends today. Will that progress be saved at least until it comes up next time? Or will all be lost? Sadly I noticed it too late

Oh lol sorry I did not want to necro, I just saw this discussion and wanted to ask. And thanks for the answer. At least I know that I can continue, when I don´t get the chance to finish it.

Even if you don't, you'll be able to continue next year if you don't cancel the project.
Also, you've necroed last year's thread.
