They are not predetermined. You get either Acc, CrtD, CrtH or Dmg. You should probably try to use Omega-Kits from Mk XI to Mk XIV to upgrade and wait for the next upgrade weekend, i got mine just to very rare during the last event.
This is the last 2800 FE right? Good mission for starship mastery. Massacring the Jem'Hadar fleet is a bit tricky until you figure out the best approach.
A pretty long mission in one of the longest, worst story arcs in the game. In the past, I wanted to have a Dominion Polaron equipped ship for my Drain Boat Carrier or Dual Cannons for an Escort. After getting about 2 of the Dual Cannon versions I stopped and couldn't be bothered to repeat that awful, dull experience anymore.

I was crazy enough to run it for 6 beam arrays.
You guys were insane

Yea... well... the beams got shelved for a while, then recently got upgraded to Mk XIV and are now the primary polaron combined with the Chronometric polaron beams.

in my defense, it was back before season 6...there wasn't really a lot to DO back then - i used to spend hours just standing around in quark's playing dabo, building up millions on my only other character and annoying my fleet leader by screaming DABO! in fleet chat every few minutes

The last time I used my Dominion Polaron DCs was when I came back to the game in around 2012. My KDF SCI at the time still was flying my old Qin Raptor from the first 5-6 months of the game coming out in 2010. That Qin had my Dominion weapons and other Polarons.
I quickly jumped into the PVP queues and Arena popped up. I promptly accepted, went in. I was doing decently for someone that was gone for a long time. After one respawn, I was full-impulsing towards the furball. I notice a red blip on the screen of an enemy player trying to intercept me, so I was all, "GAME ON" and turned to engage him.
We get into better visual range and I saw a light purple, funny looking ship that wasn't around when the game launched. We get closer and I recognized it from the DS9 tv show. I ran into my first JHAS! Reminder, this was 2012, and the Qin still has to this date its quite notorious reputation in it's weird turn axis. Not bad for PVE but it's an issue in PVP. I think you guys can figure how badly that fight went

Newer players just don't understand how much that single ship absolutely dominated the game back then. Nothing was close!

Not as painful as gathering Dominion beams, but I ran "The New Link" mission 8 times in a row to aquire 8 Polarized Tetryon beam arrays. Got those all upgraded to xiv. Then out of the blue, they decided to change the 10% proc on them. And changed them to Resonating Tet garbage. I was not pleased at all having wasted all that Dil and time.
Its at 5% , but I got them for the 10%. And they were upgradable when I did them shortly before The Change. I think they were however unupgradable for a short time after the system was first released. Anyway, if I could do it over, I would have saved those resources.
Yeah in fairness I haven't tested them at all since the change. They're probably not bad. Was just sad to lose that 10%... They were pretty unique in that regard.
I also ran it six times for the beams. I stopped at XIV VR, figured I'd get to it eventually. If I upgrade and get acc I'm going to be upset. I can only get hit by ground subspace cloaking mines so many times o_O

The trick with the Houdini mines is to run around a lot. Like grenades, the damage decreases the farther you are from the epicenter. So if you keep moving, you take a glancing blow, if it even hits you when it blows. Needless to say this probably works best in RPG mode and not Shooter mode.
The big space battle was a major challenge the first time. I got better at fighting enemy armadas since then.
At least if you get mods you don't like you can always get more beams.

I recently picked up two Dominion Polaron Beam Arrays just before the last Upgrade Event. I upgraded both to Mk XIV Epic. When I get home I will check the Mods that were awarded. I know Epic always gets Acc/Dmg.
Edit: One has Accx2, CrtH, Dmg the other CrtDx2 CrtH, Dmg
So make that what you will. It would seem that the randomness is there but there is always 2 of something.
