For Tribble only, the test console on Drozana will allow players to obtain blocks of 10,000 Experience Points, as well as Skill Respec Tokens, to help test the system.
Also, for the first week this system is available on Tribble, players will need to start a new character and go through the tutorial.
After this point, players can go to Drozana and use the test console to obtain free Experience Points.
This it to help test the system for feedback and issues found during the leveling process.
After a week, we will restore the already transferred characters prior to this update.
Cheers, well that explains why there's no transfer page just now and why mike03uc's toons don't show. Still can't get on though
Give the Continue button a shot when the error message pops up. I don't have time to test starting with a new character atm (work soon), but it did connect to Character Creation per the Tribble Patch Notes that primar13 posted a bit back.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

Tried to launch in safe mode no success got the above error msg when lauching the game
Nope no changes here, still the original error message then the screen goes blank and then I get launcher window that is "Not Responding" . So in short your crashing my video drivers, and when that recovers the game does not......
I can log into Holodeck just fine but when I tried to log into Tribble my (up to date) display driver crashed and I got this message. My video card is an Nvidia GeForce 315M.
Okay to anyone who cannot get in, after Trendy di her Magic.
I launched in Safe Mode, and Reset my Self to DX9. as it seem this patch reverted me to D11.
Then I saved my Graphics Settings and Relaunched in Normal Mode and I'm back in!
I have to do this on holodeck every time I get a map change crash already so I tried it on tribble, I don't get that far. When it tries to go to the character selection screen from the new dawn screen it crashes and stops responding. My video drivers resets itself but the game does not. Oh and I can use dx11 on holodeck as long as its not full screen or windows maximized at the time of login.
Edit: Tried changing to dx9 on holodeck in safe mode hoping that might help but no go. Honestly I cant see a reason to even log in to holodeck at this point. What I'm seeing on tribble is just a progression of the issue's I have to deal with on holodeck already. I know this revamp is in its early stages with a lot of bugs to be fixed, but having the same video driver issue that stops the game client in its tracks doesn't give me any confidence this will be fixed at all.

Whatever Trendy set in motion, the launcher is now verifying files unbidden, will check back in once it's done and see if the unrecognized command and DGX errors persist
Hello, we're aware of some graphic related issues with our new build we launched on Tribble today. This issue impacts Intel users. We're attempting to get a fix for this on Tribble late this afternoon.
Seconded...tried some of the suggestions upthread, and both the pathname error and DGX error persist, which makes sense if it was related to Intel hardware.

appreciate the update please let us know when its ready.
Yeah, I'm getting a lot of the same errors that have been posted in this thread, and game is consistently crashing halfway through the New Dawn loading screen.

Is what I start with, and I get AMD driver crash messages before it totally shuts down on me. I assume these are related to the issues Coldsnapped reported a short while ago, so I'm just sitting tight for now.
Getting the OP's error message, can't get to character screen before the game crashes.
First time downloading and trying to use Tribble. I'll wait and see if a fix works before trying to do the safemode/direct 9 thing, because I don't really understand what those are, and don't want to break anything.

AMD user here, had some of the same problems. Tribble server seems to be down right now, but at least I can get in. Half me changing settings, half whatever you guys did on your end.
EDIT: Can get all the way through login, but am now getting the message "THE SERVER IS UNAVAILABLE AT THIS TIME." Anyone else seeing this (8:12 PM EST)?

A new wrinkle here...hanging at the New Dawn loading screen, but with what appears to be a ping/fps number in red in the upper right corner, of the form:
"0.xx (~5000-9000.x ms/fm)" , where 5000 to 9000 is the range of a changing value, and x is a generic decimal place
Whenever there is a significant fluctuation in the value, the screen will flicker briefly, as though it had been reloaded
Edit: After approximately 20 minutes on the loading screen, the game came to the login screen with the message "account ticket authentication failed", but upon reentry of username and password, I was able to successfully create a new character.
As of Version ST.60.20160207a.11, the error no longer pops up, but I am still getting disconnected between map transfers, ie sector to a new mission, space to ground, and visa versa. Game claims that it's a problem with the login server timing out if I try to relog in within a few seconds to a minute or so when I log back in.

Was out last night so this is the first chance I've had to log back on. All issues with logging on are completely fixed for me after the new patch, thanks
I've been able to log in without issue (and I've learned that my beloved characters will be returning in a week, so all good). Lots of minor bugs here and there, mostly silly stuff, but I'm guessing that's just usual oversight as this is mainly intended to test the new skills system. I would note that the rank status interface in the upper left corner of the UI is continually flashing, asking me to spend experience points that can no longer be spent.
OK, Keeps hanging up my graphics on Tribble, causing a crash. I run an Intel HD 3000 chipset graphics. @cmichaelhenry I get a message that the video hangs, then recovers when the game client crashes...... no issues on Holodeck or Redshirt

Safe mode I get, the rest of that though, really sorry I'm not that computer savvy. What does that mean?
Actually I messed about with the graphic settings and I can get in now. Still gives the original error message though,

On the Display Settings, Change From Direct X 11 to Direct X 9 for the Monitor you use.
I use Monitor #2.
So I changed from Direct3d 11 #2 - Intel[r] HD Graphics to Direct3d 9 #2 - Intell[r] HD Graphics and then hit Apply

I got this exact message... and then Tribble went ahead and loaded fine anyway. Weirdness.

i get that and
Fatal Error: Direct3D driver returned error code (DXGI_DEVICE_REMOVED) while Presenting. Reason: 0x887a0006 (DXGI_ERROR_HUNG)
this was wile trying to launch in safe mode holodeck works just fine

Yes I'm seeing it as well.
