Cryptic client crashes on ENGAGE

Start up STO through and it goes through normal start up - and as soon as I click on ENGAGE it comes up with a message saying "Oops, Cryptic Client crashed" and I have no idea why.

I was nearing the end of a Foundry mission when my internet hiccupped and I lost my connection. After about 5 - 10 minutes my connection was back up and I was no longer able to log into the game. I am no incapable of doing anything with the launcher - clicking on Options to run a Forced Verify does nothing. Running the .exe's for patching/updating/repairing have done nothing so far. I haven't changed anyhting on my computer until after attempting to troubleshoot potential problems (specifically revolving around internet options, since the first handful of attempts to connect were blocked by a pop up so I of course went ot make sure my pop up blocker was turned on).

Double checked video and audio card drivers; they are all up to date. I have browsed the 'net and still haven't found anything to fix this. I have even uninstalled ARC and STO and re-downloaded and installed and that hasn't fixed anything.

Am at a total loss as to how to fix this.

    If you're on AMD stuff, that seems to be the issue. More so if you've updated to the newest driver ui. If you launch in safe mode, you should be able to play at the minimum settings, but at the same time, that seems to be the ONLY way I can play, even though my pc is running everything else at max or high.

    Go Figure.

    As to whether or not anyone will get around to fixing this, who knows, as I still couldn't use headphones or Anti-aliasing due to bugs from last years winter event.

    Apparently when I thought I uninstalled STO I only uninstalled Arc. Figured out what to do to uninstall the game, spent a handful of hours re-downloading and patching and am able to play again.

    And if bugs last this long and the only replies I get are other players, wth is up with the customer service and tech support from the devs??

    Firstly, they're on holiday for the rest of the year, I believe.

    Secondly, aside from that, it's almost always been terrible.

    I haven't been able to play at all since the latest patch (2 weeks ago). I can play any game on max settings without problems (including other Cryptic games like Neverwinter and Champions Online) but Star Trek Online always crashes at the loading screen. Not a single reply in 2 weeks from Cryptic.

    I am having the same problem. I have AMD and when I launch the game it crashed in the cryptic screen

    I was offline for a week due to moving...get back online, patch game and now am having the same effing problem. Been a week and unable to play. This has happened before and it took them a few weeks to fix the issue. I think Gene Roddenberry would be pissed off at the lack of effort connected to his legacy...... Come on Devs and fix this bloody thing!!!

    I have AMD as well. My Client crashes on the New Dawn screen. It was fine earlier today... I don't know what happened.

    Open up the options window on the launcher,scroll down to command line and enter following code.support told me to do this when I had the same issue a few months ago.If it doesn't work then submit your own support ticket.

    I had better luck with -d3d11enable 0 -d3d9 because I didn't have to hit CTRL ALT DEL to end task after the crash.

    Seems that the last patch fixed it for me.
