like I work before, I'm not very interested by the winter event, but i'm going to try the race for the ship; and only for the starship trait. But please, for this kind of events (winter & summer), try to add new stuff sometimes

They did add new stuff; there's a new PvE, new rewards (ship, gear, toys, pets, etc.), and a new currency. Not sure about that last bit, but whatever, I'd have stocked up for next year anyway. Plus, this leaves folks willing to spend Lobi as bug testers for the rest of us where the Rezreth (and it's console, set, Starship Trait, etc.) is concerned.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
Do you think one day it might be possible to have space maps for the winter event. I think a snow laden version of the Dyson Sphere (that's the obvious place to do it), would look very festive. It would feel like being in a giant snowglobe.
You could call it the Ice-on Sphere.
I was just thinking it might be a way to add an extra dimension to the winter event.
Frosted boots for new toons in T minus 3 hours and 30 minutes! It's sad that's the one item I most look forward to from the winter event haha.
*Disclaimer: I'm not saying I don't look forward to other aspects of the winter event (it's my favourite in game event), but the boots are at the top of my wishlist every time I create a new toon.

It's the last planet that you can visit during the Mission: Cold Case. Maybe some Foundry user types can make a Christmas Party Planet kind of mission.
I do like the Winter event. The new attack on the Gingerbread Village is fun, as are most of the other events. They're kind of packed together now with so many events one after the other. That's OK, though. The race for the ship is easy enough and it is nice that I only have to do it on a single character, now.
The one thing that I really, really don't like is that epohh tags can only be earned through the PVP race. The race is not particularly fun, obnoxious players make it worse, and having to "grab the flag" at the end just makes it an unpleasant experience. I've come to rely on the epohh slave trade to earn enough reputation points to get the ship and ground sets because I simply don't have the time to play all the PvE queues (the Badlands Battlezone does help, though). During the Summer event, I can easily collect enough bird eggs during the Horga'hn Hunt to get the space set. Not so with the Winter event.
I know that development for this year is done, but please consider adding some kind of non-PVP method of obtaining Epohh tags to the Winter event for next year.
It is also entirely possible that there is some method of getting tags of which I am unaware. If so, please let me know!
I have three things I'd like to sugeest for improving the winter event. 1: Increase duration of the freeze mmunity to at least five seconds after thawing, so that snowmen can't freeze players two+ times in a row simply because their health hasn't fully regenerated. 2: Reduce cooldown on all holiday ornament weapons, ie turrets. 2 minutes is more than enough but 4-5 is excessive. 3: Add some new music for the winter event combat please? The regular game music isn't really fitting for this event.
Eggs to finish chef missions are missing. The circle appears but no node. When the new road was put in did the eggs get covered over, or forgotten to be put back in?

yes, I had also this problem. poorly rewarded curiosity

hit V to scan. last year I discovered some of them were in some stupid locations. Walk to circle.... look underneath pebble....
I too have had the issue with the eggs. I went to the place marked on the map and scanned around a bit and it does look like the item is spawning under the new 'road' to the Gingerbread Village.

It would be nice if the Winter Event could include a 'Space zone' aspect next year. Let's say the surrounding the Winter Event zone is a giant snowglobe with snow instead of stars. Assimilated Icecubes vs. feastive treat ships (perhaps based on STO's Constitution class cruiser, D-7 battlecruiser, and the Romulan Bird of Prey (or warbird as they are called these days)).

Its not just eggs its any item that is put there, I have experienced it with gelatin. I was able to complete it once but not sure how I was able to get it

Okay, it was my first time in WW. Since I'm not really in the market for alien ships, it was just about the gadgets from the store... Running around eating pies and pewpewing snow borg almost took a whole day of my life, and then I realized I can get ornaments from the exchange. Bought 500 of each, bought modules, boots and manuals for relevant toons within 15 minutes, sold leftover ornaments, and now I can pretend the Winter Event never happened
Is there any way to get Event Vouchers other than that stupid PvE race or lobi? My buddy is trying to convince me to get the new ship, but I just want to punch my computer every time I do the race (and lose) and I'm a poor person, so yeah.
I second markhawkman-I practiced for a long time on empty track till I found a system that worked for me. Will I 'win' race first time every time now? No, but I will win eventually since you have unlimited restarts. And I will win this ship.
What worked for me was dashing through places where I could run straight and then frog hop when I reached a big curve till I was about halfway around it. Really, frog hopping (mashing spacebar as fast as you can) does slow you down and you don't have to stop. I even frog hop through that last, almost ninety-degree turn in the epohh tag race and never have to slide or stop.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
Is anyone else having problems with the fast and the flurrious race? I cant get the darn thing to accept the "join race" toggle most of the time and about half the time when I do get to race it CDTs when grabbing the flag at the end. Getting 2 tags an hour is maddening. They dont want us to get marks now?
No, I haven't had a problem joining either race and have raced both races back to back. I have heard of some who have had problems joining the second race after running the first, though.
I hope you figure out what your problem is.

I think that if you take 1st-3rd place in the first race, you can't join again. Otherwise you can. I didn't test it thoroughly, but so far I didn't have a case to disprove this. Maybe it's WAI: "give others a chance" kind of thing?

Gingerbread and butterbeer!
We've been good... (Well, not _too_ bad!)
Even Klingons! (Don't be mad!)
Pilot ships can loop-the-loop
Undine ships are full of goop!
Snorgs are cute and full of hate
[beat] Please Q, don't be late!
That's cute, I loved it, thank you!

Q's Appreciation packages from the lobi store say it contains glossy photos instead of 2015 vouchers.
I was thinking this would be nice as well.
Maybe fight a Borg Ice Cube.
I wouldn't make festive ship weapons though.
Not everyone likes "Ground Trek."
