I'm happy to see it come out. Looking forward to see what Chase "Leeta" gets us into, and seeing the new people, places, and what ever else comes.
I don't like the new Rep at all. Nothing to do and boring. Just like the old Undine Rep. So I will pass and use that time for my Alts. I have a Delta and a capt for my Fed Dreadnought to level up. So I will make good off this season. As for the Ship Doff, I won't waste my time on that one either. Looks like this Season is good for alt playing.
USS Casinghead NCC 92047 launched 2350
Fleet Admiral Stowe - Dominion War Vet.
No, admiralty whilst offering not-so-bad rewards is just another DOFF and click&grind system. Battlezone is nothing too original, most of it is just copy-paste from other parts of the game. New queues are interesting but after I finish terran rep. on all my chars they will be forgotten.
Still no signs about balance, solution to dps-race or new interesting mechanic(exploration, eh?), just pushing out more and more ships and lockboxes.
So no, I am not looking forward to the new season. Unless something really drastic happens in STO I will spend in it 5 minutes daily to launch R&D research projects and log off.
Season 11 i think will be fairly interesting. At least more so than season 10 now which has become somewhat stale.
As for the admiralty, am abit disappointed in that, as I hoped we could promote a boff, equip its ship and send it out.
The current admiralty missions, some are far too long in time, others are ok.
Badlands spacezone seems ok but is'nt exciting at all. The area is the same as now.
I do like Mirror Bajor and the neon lighting.
The new episodes look good but rewards are TRIBBLE as usual, so nothing new there.
I just hope before season 11 is here on 27th Oct, that cryptic really increase all rewards in all missions, to make it worth while doing. A busy buzzing game and no dead queues at any time. That would make it great.
I like the sound of the battlezone (something new at least) and the ship-doff system looks not bad.
But really the major thing for me is the rep equipment as it seem squarely aimed at torpedo users running science boats, which is exactly what I have most fun doing. So i'm excited to see how it will improve my builds.
I could be excited about it, if there is going to be some bonafide exploration. I've seen a lot about the remastered Cardassian episodes, the Badlands battlezone and the Admirality system. I haven't really seen much of the exploration we're going to be refocusing on.
Im not one bit excited about S11 why? because it will be the same thing over again go to place A kill all the aliens there go to place B kill everything there now leave and get a reward.
IF they do put more emphasis on exploration which i doubt then i may be content but we know how this will go so no not looking forward to the same ole same ole.
What would have got me excited, is the exploration system that this game sorely needs and the Admiral system that has ships in combat with me, piloted by my own bridge officer's that were promoted to Captain...
Nope. The admirality system is just one more incentive to buy more ships. You know what ? Forget it. Not going to buy ships which will be only good for ship doffing once we get the great T7 item reset.
i have to say i am not very excited about season 11 as far as i can see it will be another rep to grind and a new admiral doff ing system and 2 new stfs and badlands battle zone no mention of any new episodes seems season 11 could be one of the weakest seasons so far
what do you guys think
You seem to lack reading skills. There is a new episode, plus revamped Cardassian episodes
Did I mention SWTOR has a much better season coming up about the same exact time?...now thats something to get excited about . Unlike season 10.75 other F2P MMOs are really making and effort. I will be splitting my time among both but heavily unbalanced from what I see.
Irrelevant comparison. No matter what they might say, SWTOR is not a free 2 play game. Yes, it has a heavily gimped out 'free' mode that totally sucks, but in order to actually enjoy SWTOR you have to subscribe. For that reason alone, I don't compare it directly to STO.
As for Season 11, I'm actually looking forward to everything except the 'Admiralty System.' I think that part is a very bad idea and just caters too much to those that spend hundreds of dollars on ships. For people like me who buy a couple ships a year I don't see this system being very accessible to me.
I actually think the new Battle Zone sounds pretty cool. Personally, I love space battle zones, I have probably spent more time in the Undine Zone then anywhere else in this game.
Sorry you can't read my thread in the CSI official forum where I've tested on tribble the Admiralty system for a week, with a toon who had only the free event ships and his levelling ships.
With those ships, knowing what I was aiming to ( XP ) and choosing the right ships for the assignments ( probably like people did when the doff system was introduced ), I got an entire XP level ( the 125k something skill points) in one week, logging only once a day and starting as many assingments as I could ( not many though lol ).
I prefer Battlezones too : open, free, not time-gated in the same way as stfs ( time-gated in a friendlier way so to speak ).
You never go wrong with Battlezones, while you may go wrong with the stf : some you win ( Brotherhood of the Sword for example), some you lose ( I find Gateway to Grethor boring and I've avoided the Herald Sphere as much as I could).
Expanded Role Play (expressions, object interactions, etc.) - no
Independent Romulan Star Empire Full Faction Option - Meow.
Enhancements/Expansions/New Social Zones to enjoy or roam about - unknown
Missing Ships & Classic Remakes (temporal ships, Odyssey, BoP) - maybe, no signs of a Romulan Science ship
Space Barbie Mirror Outfits - likely
I'll do my best to look forward to it anyways and use my creativity to fill in the (many) blanks despite having zero interest in the concept and execution of this bizarre mirror universe concept that I've often had to skip in the series. An ISS prefix on all our fed ships option would be welcome regardless, as would I.R.W. on all our Romulan Ships, but especially the latter.

I don't think we'll get an ISS prefix option unless its from an Imperial ship, although IMO unlocking the skin for related classes should also unlock the ISS (ARW and AKS for Rom and KDF) prefix as an option. And I don't see how IRW would work on ships built by the Republic. With the earlier ones I can understand it because they were also fielded by the Star Empire.

I'm still not over the T5-U/T6 debacle. I have no interest in rebuying all of my Fleet-quality ships. There are only a few designs I'd be willing to purchase again, and none of them have hit the C-store (yet).
As a customer, this used to be my thought process:
"Awesome! I finally get to fly this at the end game!"
It has since transformed into this:
"I already have this at the end game. Why am I going to spend $30 to buy a slightly different version when it will just become obsolete in a year?"
This is also why I don't buy Apple products.

Bring on the Terrans!
Besides... they might finally unleash Tacofangs on DS9. That station is showing its age.

Just the inevitable Herald lockbox and related toys, it's a foregone conclusion based off history it's coming, and the buffs to torpedoes that the new rep will offer since I am a boater. Otherwise no, nothing else stands out as interesting to me, I'm reminded of the Undine season which felt rather bland as well. I hope we get past the Terrans in the story real quick and get on to much more interesting matters.
Am I excited for Season 11? I was back during the Summer announcment, now I'm just disappointed.
The Cardassian story revamp is a joke.
The Admirality system is just a DOFF system with a more obvious way to get people to buy C-store ships.
The Mirror Universe Queues - well I know I'm not going to play them as part of the Rep Grind.
The Mirror Universe Battlezone - just a literal copy / paste job of the Undine Battlezone.
And the Mirror Universe Reputation - okay another set to grind out <yawn>

I am excited because it means when season 11 hits, only a about 4-6 weeks till winter event, and then star wars is on the screen...season 11 is just a roadmap date for me.

"Excited" definitely isn't the correct word. I will see what it brings and then I will like it or not like it or be like "meh". I'm not necessarily looking for new stuff, but more content is always welcome (caveat: more queues of course mean more queues where you struggly to find some group).
As for new abilities: I already have more useful to choose from than slots, so a new one might be great but have a rather large opportunity cost in me having to drop one, so while I like the choice I will be in no hurry to finish the rep. I also have enough ships for my toons right now, 2 or 3 could be better but not by as much to make me spend coins right now.
Admirality system looks like it could take some time, maybe too much for my regular schedule after work (turn on the music, doff a little for 30 mins across toons, go back to normal life). That may be a downside, but then again I could always not use it regularily.
So in the end: more to play: yay. The rest I'll see.

and by challenge I don't mean...
Do the same mission for 40 days .. yay tier 5 in X rep ... yay MK XII stuff... yay upgrade it to MK XIV.. "YAY... now what?"

That sums it up for me as well. Could be better, but lol... could be worse if I look at last year at this time.

The Cardassian arc had a few bad episodes in it. Just like the Romulan arc had that one particular mission.
